1 Layer thick Race Checkpoints!!!!!!
Archive: 20 posts
I dont know if this will work, but does anyone have captured race checkpoints that are only 1 layer thick from back when u could change how many layers they took up? my level is nearly finished but i need 1 layer thick race things i would be really thankful if u share them and give full credit in level | 2009-07-22 14:37:00 Author: springs86 Posts: 785 |
Nope, it's impossible. I think you can blow up the base of the race gate like the one in the scoreboard. But there's no such thing as a 1-layer race gate. | 2009-07-22 14:44:00 Author: Unknown User |
There is in story levels and u could do it back in december i think, but it got fixed | 2009-07-22 14:55:00 Author: springs86 Posts: 785 |
I don't think you can do it anymore since the patch because it even stopped the ones working that were already in levels. If it's not possible could you put a small area before the race start 3 layers thick to accomodate the race gate and then have it lead into the 1 layer thick race area by blocking off the back 2 layers immediately after the start ? | 2009-07-22 15:07:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |
What kind of story level? I'll check it out. | 2009-07-22 15:19:00 Author: Unknown User |
What kind of story level? I'll check it out. the wilderness ones use it before that long slide, as well as various minigames I don't think you can do it anymore since the patch because it even stopped the ones working that were already in levels. Thanks mistervista although a 1 layer thick race start would look "clean" | 2009-07-22 15:41:00 Author: springs86 Posts: 785 |
springs, there is almost certainly someone on these forums that has one stashed away that might be able to provide you with one. Try changing your thread title to specifically ask for one - might grab someone's attention | 2009-07-22 15:47:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

The problem is that I think this is the rare instance where when Media Molecule patched it up, they broke peoples' existing levels. Except for their own. =| | 2009-07-22 16:14:00 Author: crazymario Posts: 657 |
Oh really? Wow, I thought they had managed to avoid that for everything so far. That really sucks that it's clearly still in the engine but unusable And it's the most pointless of all their fixes. Looks like mistervistas solution is the best then. | 2009-07-22 16:53:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

Wrong, I have them in my levels, they still work, I gave the captured one I had to Cheesymcfly a while ago. I don't have the captured ones anymore, but I can pull a copy of my level apart and get them for you. | 2009-07-22 18:02:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |

I don't have the captured ones anymore, but I can pull a copy of my level apart and get them for you. That's great then. I'm not sure why I would have thought it didn't work though. All for the better. | 2009-07-22 18:19:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |

Grantos, do you think you could throw up a copyable level with one in for a little while. Pleeeease | 2009-07-24 09:45:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Im on it now :-) give me 30 mins Edit: The level is up, on the south pole, code is 1994. If you find them useful, leave me a bt f feedback on my newest level (in sig) if you get the time, cheers. | 2009-07-24 11:32:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
Thanks Grantos, I remember you saying a while ago you had an old one stashed away but I assumed wrongly they'd all stopped working because a friend of mine ( Timmyho ) has a great Pool Hall level I used to love playing but the 1 layer race gate in that stopped working after the patch. He tried for ages but couldn't get it to work again and ended up having to take it out of the level altogether. He would probably be interested to have one again because it works much better as a race to get the high score. Would you mind if I passed the info and code on to him ? | 2009-07-24 11:58:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |
No not all. Also, there's a heart for heart message on the key room ALREADY!! | 2009-07-24 12:08:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
