This is an awesome looking pack!! I like the new costumes a lot as they are perfect for personal customization!!
Sir Sackboy might be getting a new jacket for those "special occasions"

And did I just spot a sticker I might actually use for once? ...I don't feel good all of a sudden...

OH WOW! History Pack. New news!

Ok, it looks pretty decent right now. We'll have to see if it's worth our hard earner moolah though.

Looks like a neat set. I'll pick it up. I wonder if it will spark creators to make levels based around historical events or time periods more so than we have now? I'd love to see Mozart's Vienna or someone's interpretation of the battles of Kahn. Could be interesting.2009-07-22 17:14:00

I'm going to guess that it's a medium pack, because of the prices. If you look, it's 100 yen per costume. Then it lists two more prices, 300 and 400 yen. I'm guessing the 300 is for all the costumes together, and 400 is for decorations/background/etc.. I'd say look forward to a medium pack!

...But don't kill me if I'm wrong.

I know about this back in May, they talked about it along with the Monster pack and 2000AD

a history pack, which will contain a library of visual material that alludes to Greek, Indian, Japanese, Celtic and American Indian architectural styles and characters including Genghis Khan, Beethoven and Mozart,

http://www.edge-online.com/news/graphic-artists-jump-on-to-littlebigplanet <=== see may back in may alot of ppl just over looked it so :/

Yes this have been talked about since a LONG while. It's just that it wasn't officially announced.

This is a small pack like the Monster Pack (or is that monster pack a medium one?) Anyways, it's supposed to be costumes, materials, stickers, probably objects and I suppose there's a gallery level to collect the stuff like in Monsters Pack.

I cross my fingers for a song maybe?

Small pack = Costumes and stickers only
Medium pack = Stickers, Costumes, some materials and music/sound effects and an object gallery to collect the items (stickers, materials)
Large pack = MM made levels, materials, interactive music/normal music, sound objects, stickers and costumes.
(you collect the items in the levels, not a gallery level)

Its Mozart, not GW... -_-
Btw, i've been waiting for this since it was announced, it was getting strange that they announced so long ago and made no comment about it until now.
Well, at least they took their time with this one, so it can be that bad. (Good costumes and stickers at the very least)
Maybe even a Medium pack, kinda like the monster pack.
But that'not for sure.
Still looks cool tho.

Aye-ya . You guys really need to get your history right...

George Washington
http://soe.ucdavis.edu/ms0809/180Sec1/ChengJ/Web/rev%20war/GeorgeWashington.jpg

Mozart
http://z.about.com/d/classicalmusic/1/0/8/mozart_portrait.jpg

See the difference? TWO curlz, not one. Plus George would be wearing blue, not red. Remeber, them Brits are red. Just wanted to clear that.

YAYZ! Ghenghis Khan costume! Finally, we're getting one! Now I can re-create the Mongol raid on the Great Wall! :kz:

The History pack has new materials!

I have evidence that MIGHT suggest a large pack, but i'm sure it's medium at least.
I'm not 100% on that though, Mm change a lot of things during production

For the people who don't read the thread:

1- History pack = medium pack (like the Monster Pack).

2- It's been real while MM said it's coming, it's just that it wasn't "officially announced". Now it is.

3- In a medium pack there are costumes, stickers and materials. According the Monster pack, there should be a level of some kind in order to collect the stuff.

4- In realistic expectations, you can hope for objects since we had some in Christmas, Valentine and Monsters. You can also expect maybe a song since we got one in Monster Pack.

Sorry m8, but you're practically asking Mm to work for free.
We're pretty lucky to have so much free DLC actually, (Not to mention the creator's pack being free was quite a surprise)
Its was as if someone asked you to work 2 months on something but you get nothing in return.
Would you do it?

Back on topic.

Man i wonder what this one's gonna have overall...
(Altho probably so does everyone else who has LBP and knows about iy )
We'll just have to wait a couple of weeks i guess.

Don't get too excited. The low price is probably because they don't have to buy the rights from anyone, like I'm guessing they do for things like Killzone DLC, or any other IP.

I think the monsters pack was the same price for the costumes.

I think the whole pack, costumes and materials/whatever else is included will cost $7, or $4 for the materials/etc. and $3 for the costumes.
Or something around that.

The Japanese says there are 2 packs. A costume and a Level designer pack. The level designer pack says it has stickers, decorations and sounds but doesn't mention any music or materials. Costumes are, Genghis Khan, Mozart, Butica? (The kelt guy) and Laplis the the female costume on the left.

Level kit is 400yen and the costumes are 300yen.

If it's already out on the JP PSN I might go give it a look a bit later and report back.

Mm usually doesn't release stickers/decors and sounds separately from costumes without materials or a music track at least.

Thanks for that. The text did say something about her fighting the Romans.

And by the way the DLC is NOT available in Japan yet. I finally got round to checking last night after I managed to tear myself away from Wipeout Fury for long enough to look.

But there may be some screenshots of the content floating around... Some people have known about this DLC for quite some time... #ahem#...

By the way DLC for other regions won't work with your copy of the game. If you have the U.S. version you have to get the DLC from the U.S. PSN store. I learnt this the hard way.
