So, lots of bands cover songs, and many of them are very good, many are very bad, and some are just plain funny/stupid... So which ones are your favourites? Well, Avenged Sevenfold covered Pantera's Walk and I think it went rather well. They also covered Iron Maiden's Flash of the Blade, which I haven't heard but I would imagine it would be epic.

Well, Avenged Sevenfold covered Pantera's Walk and I think it went rather well. They also covered Iron Maiden's Flash of the Blade, which I haven't heard but I would imagine it would be epic. Guns N' Roses released an entire album full of cover versions - 'The Spaghetti Incident'. I love every track on there! Even if some of them are a little uhh... 'bold'.

Metallica did a cover album once, too. Garage, Inc. Never really heard much from it, just thought I'd throw it out there. Actually, Def Lepard (I blame my parents for me listening to them) released a cover album a few years ago called Yeah! and it really has some good songs on there.

But the Marilyn Manson cover of highway To Hell.... Sorry, but i just don't like it... lol.... Perfectly normal. This is because you like metal music and ACDC. Seriously, (i'm laughing here), it happens ALL THE TIME. Same comments, from ALL metal fans. It's because Marilyn really made in "industrial" sounding. He really didn't care how the original song sounded and such. Personally, since I don't like metal but LOVE industrial rock like Marilyn Manson, NIN and such things, this cover is absolutely godly and it's actually making me like an ACDC composition for once! ---------------------------------------- Another excellent cover: Paul Weller's "Butterfly Collector" by Garbage. YouTube - Garbage - Butterfly Collector Fantastic "trip-hop-isation" of the song. I LOVE it. .

The Metallica album mentioned above has some great stuff on it - my faves being Turn The Page and Whisky In The Jar, and i think it is the best Whisky in the jar cover out there. Trivium's cover of 'Iron Maiden' by Iron Maiden (obviously) is good lol. Hinder's cover of Thunderstruck is pretty good aswell One of my favourite covers (i only just found out about it being a cover,a nd i'm still not too sure if it is or not) is Can't get it out of my head, by Velvet Revolver. Speaking of Marilyn Manson covers, he did do a version of the theme song for Nightmare Before Christmas which I think it pretty sick. Actually there's an album that is the entire soundtrack redone, and it's pretty cool. KoRn singing about kidnapping Santa? Do want!
