Developers and their patch/update names
Archive: 19 posts
I think it's hilarious how different developers have little themes to name their updates after. Media Molecule names theirs after cheeses (Ricotta, Cornish Yarg, Ricotta etc.) and Android, and OS running on phones such as the G1, names their updates after delicious treats (Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Flan). Have any of you ever heard of another company or anything that does something like this? | 2009-07-20 16:58:00 Author: brnxblze ![]() Posts: 1318 |
Criterion named all their Burnout Paradise updates alphabetically. I don't know all of them, but they've done things like Cagney and Davis in the past. It's quite interesting seeing what they come up with. | 2009-07-20 22:36:00 Author: dandygandy2704 ![]() Posts: 1002 |

This is what happens when you let computer geeks name stuff. You know what the technical name for half a byte is? It's a nibble (or nybble). Fact. | 2009-07-21 01:38:00 Author: rtm223 ![]() Posts: 6497 |

I know if I ever made a patch, I would make it the most original, unthought of, amazingly smart names. Numbers, 1, 2, and 3. | 2009-07-24 18:49:00 Author: Ryutei ![]() Posts: 244 |
