I'm making a Steam Punk themed level, based on one of the first levels I made. (Simply titled "Steam Punk" if anyone's interested but it's old and bad, which is why I'm doing this remake. So play if you want but really it's not great...) I will post little bits of the level as I make it, I've designed a car which I am really happy with as well as a small airship, they'll be up some time soon to get opinions from all y'all. What I mostly want is some help coming up with a good story for it. The original level's story was as follows; "This place looks cool it's full of gears and stuff run through it till you get to the end." So that needs a bit of improvement. Any ideas? Also here's my name as it will appear in the level's intro, just to show the style of the level: (It wont actually be black on green like that, the level will be in full colour but the way it looks in the level didn't show up very well when I took pictures of it, the lighting didn't show up in the sticker for whatever reason so it was pretty much a black screen with slight glimpses of red rust here and there... so I made it like this just for now.)

First off, that introduction looks incredibly cool, very artistic. For a story, you can have the player stumble upon a machine that takes them to a parallel (Steampunk) universe. It's simple, but then again you aren't writing a script for a big Hollywood production, you are making a level in LittleBigPlanet.

I love that name, and I love Steam Punk! How about you're a robot, and you wake up after a massive fog type thing has passed over this land, and wiped out every human. So you must go across the place searching for answers about your creator and why you where created, while finding other robots, good and bad. And at the end have some sort of awesome thing, which maybe says that your creator created the fog that killed everyone, and he made you to be some sort of God to rule over the lands. Something along those lines would be cool, and explains why this person is walking around.

XD Wow you really thought this out! I'm liking the ideas here, robot uprisings are always fun. I do also like the parallel universe idea but the first chunk of the levels already done and I'd basically have to restart to implement that. I might have a character show up later on from an alternate reality of some kind though, I'll see what I come up with... Awesome ideas guys, now just for fun here's some screenshots of the level's contraptions so far

Awesome ideas guys, now just for fun here's some screenshots of the level's contraptions so far Looks good so far. I wouldn't hide many of the bolts or connectors, they add to the Steampunk style. Also, use the pipe decoration a lot, it will be your best friend in a Steampunk level.
