LBP or BF?!

Archive: 13 posts

Ok, I'm planning on getting a PSN card for $20 today. There's two things I really want to invest in, which are the Ghostbusters pack for LBP and... Battlefield: 1942. The only thing is that if I buy one, I won't have enough for the other. I really want to get the rest of the LBP packs but at the same time want to help get the 43,000,000 kills in BF: 1942. Plus I love flying shooters. I can't make up my mind!! Help!2009-07-17 22:09:00

Well BF:1943 isn't a flying shooter. Sure you can fly planes in it but it's pretty much a standard online FPS with vehicles. Great game though but this could be because i love all the BF games.

I really want the Ghostbusters DLC too, that Stay Puft costume is just brilliant!

I would get Battlfield 1943 if I were you. I have it and I don't regret buying it for a mere 15 dollars, it feels like a game in itself by which I mean it feels like a full 60 dollar game. It's addicting, fun, and sure it has a few problems but it's definately worth it in my opinion.

The GB DLC can come at a later time and I don't think you'll have as much fun with a few stickers and costumes.

Just my 2 cents.

Couldn't agree more to be honest.

The Ghostbuster pack is quite lame IMHO, so I say BF, even though I don't like that kind of games.2009-07-17 22:22:00

Battlefield and prepare to get shot down by me.

Or wait a bit and get Trine.

Yeah... a game seems to be more fulfilling then a few stickers and costumes you may rarely use, to be honest <_>2009-07-17 22:29:00

Definitely get the game, it's worth more than a few costumes and some useless (IMO) stickers.2009-07-18 06:59:00

I'd go with BF as well... even though I've never played it. The costume DLC can wait... it will always be there down the road for you to buy.2009-07-18 07:12:00

Ok. I just bought BF. Turns out that it's really fun to play (albeit some horrible flying). Thanks for the suggestion, guys! Definitely worth my money.2009-07-18 07:17:00

This is straight from wikipedia.

"The network cards are not available in PAL standard regions (Europe, Australasia, Middle East, etc.) where credit or debit cards remain the only way to buy PlayStation Store contents. However as with North America, in PlayStation 3 firmware update 2.0, the option was made available from the Transaction Management menu."

Sorry man.

Anyways I'm going to lock this seeing as the OP has already bought BF. If you want it re-opened for any reason just send me a message Jack.
