Hi, I'm Docpac...

and I'm oldschool but I fell off the littlebigplanet for reasons unknown. Actually, they were related to my injury. Anyway, I just had to swing by and see how everyone has been. Looks like quite a few new faces have signed up while some of the older members have dropped off. Love the new look. I took a look in the HELP section and just as I thought, LBP has evolved into something much more complex than I thought. The concepts you guys talk about are pretty awesome. Man, I want to play your levels! Anyway... HI. | 2009-07-16 19:40:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |

Yup, I remember you guys. Everyone except Morgana for some reason. Please don't take offense. So did they ever release co-create or was that just a fantasy we all shared 2 years ago? | 2009-07-16 19:54:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
err... no there's even an online create beta i believe :O | 2009-07-16 19:55:00 Author: Yarbone Posts: 3036 |
none taken. I was pretty quiet when I first signed up. | 2009-07-16 19:56:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Hi, welcome to LBPC. I'm probably suppose to do this the otherway, you greet me since I'm new? Anyways, nice to meet you. I just started yesterday and still learning. | 2009-07-16 19:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
Oh man.. no co-create after all this time?E?!!? Wow. To tell you guys the truth, I still think of things to create in LBP on a regular basis. It drives me nuts. I guess that's a sign of a good game. I had to sell my PS3 so I'm not exactly able to play. Maybe I should pull a Whaaale and see if anyone will buy 3 360's so I can buy a new one. Hi, welcome to LBPC. Well, there is an online Create Beta... some select users from LBPC were invited to join... <_> | 2009-07-16 19:59:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Well, there is an online Create Beta... some select users from LBPC were invited to join... <_> Is it any good? I remember MM saying it wasn't going to be like the standard create. | 2009-07-16 20:01:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
Is it any good? I remember MM saying it wasn't going to be like the standard create. Non disclosure agreement <_> but yeah, um... hey dar D: ... I'm... uh... ... I'll just go check my ps3 and, uh, yeah <_> | 2009-07-16 20:03:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Non disclosure agreement <_> but yeah, um... hey dar D: ... I'm... uh... ... I'll just go check my ps3 and, uh, yeah <_> hahaha Dang NDA! I'll write them a letter explaining my interest and how I'm a long lost son of some random programmer there. Maybe I can get info that way. | 2009-07-16 20:05:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
The pros and cons of Online Create: Pros Faster and easier for users who don't know how to make a level. Why not make a level with a friend and combine it? It'll be fun, really. One of you go run to the obstacle, then the other will open their popit cursor and move the fire around and he'll die. Get it? lol. Cons LAGGGGGG! How will it be published between 2 people? What happens if someone fights for the level when both of you worked on it...? It won't be fun if the thermometer is already full cause you just made 1 thing and the other didn't. Squishing each other? :o | 2009-07-16 20:07:00 Author: Unknown User |

Squishing each other? :o Sounds like fun to me. I think the the publishing part would be easy enough if their system is setup for it. "wacky wackness by Leonardo & Docpac". It would then be published under both names so any user could navigate to the level from either name. It would also boost exposure for relatively unknown creators who did some work with a more popular creator. I think they'll figure it out. I'm just shocked it's taken this long. | 2009-07-16 20:09:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
Teehee, there could be another "Planet" for Online Create. Maybe named Shari. LOL. Cheesy name. Shari meaning Shari-ng... Sharing. | 2009-07-16 20:14:00 Author: Unknown User |
Hey, what was the name of that site that you could pull up your level stats? Sony shut them down because it made them look bad [or something, old opinion stands tho]. If it's up and you remember the name, let me know. If not, its cool. I just really wonder how my levels have done after all this time. I was considering making "the domain" and "the wheel of sorrow" open source for new guys to learn from. | 2009-07-16 20:18:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
What site? A site for your levels? | 2009-07-16 20:20:00 Author: Unknown User |
What site? A site for your levels? No no. A while back there was a site. This guy had some sort of hardware/software setup that would crawl the LBP levels and gather the info for each of them. Plays, hearts, etc. Then they would be posted on his website. | 2009-07-16 20:21:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
Oh, never heard of it. Maybe that's the reason why it got shutdown, game hacking.. :o | 2009-07-16 20:22:00 Author: Unknown User |
Oh, never heard of it. Maybe that's the reason why it got shutdown, game hacking.. :o Yeah, there was a big stink about it. The fans loved it. Sony/MM were a bit freaked out. Shut it down. Supposedly it was going to be reopened or recreated by sony. Guess not. | 2009-07-16 20:26:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |

Welcome back docpac! Sorry to hear about the injury...I hope it hasn't negatively impacted your ability to enjoy life. I think Mm is possibly starting to realize that they need to start implementing changes/improvements, if they want interest in their product to continue to grow. There have been some very informative interviews with Mm's Evans and Smith recently...check the News and Media threads here for details. Glad you are back, and getting involved again! See you around the Forums. Rick | 2009-07-16 21:06:00 Author: RickRock_777 Posts: 1567 |

Thanks everyone. Even though I can't make any levels, at the moment , I'll do what I can to contribute to the community. There are already an enormous amount of amazing artists here [dang artistic game communities!!] but I'll find something to do. I still have my video editing software, my zazzle video capture, and access to a ps3 when needed. Perhaps I can finally put together some video or something. Yo Doc! I recorded the domain. I remember when Whaaaaale had a 360. Bad times. Then he sold it. Good times! Thanks a million moley. I know I was a bit annoying with asking you every other day so thanks for putting up with me. | 2009-07-17 04:35:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
