vines. how? help!

yeah, long story short, how do i make vines? the intro to a project im working on is a jungle area with waterfalls, and i'd like realistic vines that bend or "droop" so please no "string" suggestions, they dont bend!  | 2009-07-15 23:20:00 Author: johnrulz77  Posts: 835 |

| wow - that's a pretty tall order. Check out the hoses that Candyx has on his starcruiser level. They're just drawn with material but they look like they hang. Good for ones that look bendy but don't actually bend. Also the vines on Jungle Tribe Village by Art of Tyler look good but don't move. Some of the best one's I've seen that move just have tons of leaves on the string so they look like a vine. You could do what Trap-T says but you have to watch out for breakage on a system like that. dkjestrup had a nifty vine swing on his level. | get a short piece of grabbable chackpoint layer, stick it to a short piece of thin layer so they overlap, then take sections like this and use bolts to connect them in a chain. That's what I did. Looks OK. | 2009-07-15 23:41:00 Author: rtm223  Posts: 6497 |
I used the rubber snake for vines in one of my levels, you can see them hanging from the trees in the first 20 seconds of the video. They do need to be quite big though, or they flip out when too many people are swinging from them.  VGgxnbEufQs | 2009-07-15 23:47:00 Author: Kiminski  Posts: 545 |
