Okay so im making this vehicle that moves to a place, then moves back again, without the sackperson moving it, so its a 3 way switch in a place of dark matter, with winch's attached to each side, and at the start of the level, the kart moves to the right activating magnetic key switch's and when the kart gets to the other side, at the end, the 3 way switch needs to pull the wheels so it goes back.



So its basicaly theres a 3 way switch in dark matter, with winche's attached.


And at the start of the level the winch on the right, activating wheels of the kart that moves it to the right, and when the kart reach's its point a the end after 44 seconds, the left winch makes the kart wheels go back.


How do i do this? if anyone understands me.

I'm just gonna take a whack at this, and sorry if it doesn't make much sense, I'm just kinda thinking aloud here...

It sounds like what you could do is set the winch timing to pull the switch over to the right very quickly, and then have it pause for a very large amount of time (like 44 seconds). Have the other winch have the exact same settings, but set the sync so that it is the exact opposite of the first winch, i.e. when the one on the right pulls the switch that way, the one on the left extends to allow the right one to pull it and vice verse. That could take some time, but it's the best I can come up with off the top of my head.

Yes i think that could work, i was unclear however whether you wanted it to just go back and forth endlessly or just go and come back once, if its the first then dandys suggestion seems grand, if its the 2nd then heres what i suggest...


it sounds like youll need a permanent switch to activate it in the first place

another way of doing it would be to have the 3 way switch and the winches as before, the winch that makes the cart move forward is attached to the swich handle and a piece of dissolve,

when the cart reaches its destination it activates a key that dissolves the dissolve making the "go forward" winch dissapear,

another key detects the dissolve dissapearing and starts the "go back" winch

I would do it the simple way: making it a 'creature', and adding those lights that stop it from moving, so it switches direction and basically ignores Sackboy.2009-07-16 01:56:00

You clearly copied me! I made a Pokemon-esque fighting system with emitter logic but my PS3 broke and I lost all my data!
