There is no need for anyone to be saying that. if he didn't like your level and he wanted to comment he should have just left you a message explaining what he didn't like and how he thinks you could improve it. A simple message saying "its crap" is just immature and rude.

Delete the comment and forget about it. There is no point wasting time with such losers.

I've had the same problem, no biggie, the person believed that the world was going to end in the year 2012. That was his only level and it also had one star, so I deleted his comment and laughed at him really hard. LOLOLOLOLOLOL.2009-07-15 13:29:00

Don't let it get you down, so what if some guy thought it was crap?

It's the internet, people are going to be like that, don't get hung up on it.

I'm afraid 'fairness' is sometimes in short supply on LBP. To leave a comment saying 'it's crap' is not only rude, but shows a ridiculously low level of articulation.

Players may think that certain levels are 'crap', but choose to either offer help, describe why you felt it was below par, or simply not comment at all.

A lot of the time, players simply don't know the age of the creator, and for the creator to be experimenting in LBP for the first time, having the courage to publish it to the community, then have some ignorant so-and-so say 'it's crap' can be upsetting.

You're better than they are, you've no reason to be ashamed of yourself, and I hope you'll keep creating.

What you can be 100% sure about, is that people like GrantosUK, NinjaMicWZ, rtm, Morgana, Silverleon, Zwollie, RangerZero and all the other SKILLED creators will never say that something is crap but will try to raise the quality bar of the game

(sorry for the ones not mentioned)

Don't let one guy get you down.

There are many MANY different kinds of players out there and many MANY different kinds of creators too. Not everyone is going to like everyone else's style, theme, story, design, game play mechanic, etc..... you get the idea.

So this one guy didn't like your level - not a big deal. There may be three other people who love it. It's just a matter of personal preference and if you try to make everyone happy you'll just end up with a level that tries to do too much and suffers for it.

Make what makes you happy. It's your level, right? Don't loose sight that it's a game and supposed to be fun!

You also have access to this great site with people who love to help other creators improve their skills and make their levels the best they can be. So you're already ahead of the guy who spammed you in terms of being able to make levels - right?

i think this is fair but i only post gltiches or if level is truly amazing. i think there is no right to need to post a comment when all you could to is place a tag or dont post anythink. also you said that he posted 2 comments and i dont think double comment post should even be allowed in one level cause there this thing called delete button so you could just retype it.2009-07-15 18:18:00

Ah, 'tis might be the infamous Ozzy Oswald cursing and insulting you, eh? There's no need to worry 'bout some impolite comments; everyone has their own goals and some are just more sinister than others. Personal opinion is just opinion, not facts, so you don't even need to recognize them if you don't want to. Besides, the Shadow of Colossus idea has been repeated several times and with no avail. It'll take some time before people warm up to your level.2009-07-15 18:39:00

Ignore it. If you get into an argument about it, you may find you're arguing with an obnoxious 8 year old or something. This is the internet.... there are a lot of different ages and maturity levels playing your levels. Can't be too sensitive about it.

(when I first published my last level, I got a comment that said "Your level makes me physically sick. ZERO hearts - and I would do worse to your level if I could").

Then I noticed the message was from Wexfordian.....

(ok, that last parts not true, but the comment was)

It's true, the fact that he hasn't made any levels doesn't enter into it, you don't need to have experience making something to know whether someone else's work is up to snuff. However, that doesn't make any more fair or polite. The proper thing to do would be explain how to improve, offer constructive criticism and feedback.

Impolite, unfair, rude... whatever. If you are satisfied with your level, then that should be enough for you. Personally, I have told people their levels are crap... but only the ones that start you right next to the scoreboard and waste your time. Other poor levels I prefer to mark "Needs Work" and not leave any comments at all.2009-07-16 06:44:00

I would just delete the messages. There's no point getting into a arguement about something like this, and also the comments he sent are very immature and rude. I would just delete them, try to forget about them, and also don't get discouraged about this.2009-07-16 19:05:00

It's okay, I always get comments (well tags) alot.
All my levels keep getting "rubbish" and "ugly."
But idc, I just want hearts and plays.

I've seen things like this happen before. People have no right to do things like that. If your level isn't the best, they should have just left constructive criticism so that you could make it better. Ignore comments like that. You should post your levels in the level showcase and opt in for F4F (Feedback for Feedback) and then people can tell you how to improve your level.2009-07-16 19:31:00

Should have left that comment on,

Ontopic; people have the right to say that the level sucks/is crap. But if they don't put why, or at least suggestions on how to improve on your level, then that is plain rude. IE; it would be a lot nicer if he said

'This level needs some work, this part gets you stuck, and the checkpoint could be raised a little, other then that its pretty good. Since this is your first level, I guess you still have much to learn. Happy Gadding '
