Rope walk / shimmey

Hi. ive seen in some levels that theres string attatched from one wall to another and you can grab it and swing across it, ive also seen it where you can walk along the top of it like a tightrope. Can anyone tell me how to do it thanks | 2009-07-15 11:14:00 Author: theamilien Posts: 485 |
Material turns invisible if you make it very thin. So if you take some dark matter for instance and make it very thin you have an invisible platform you can walk on. Now you just need a string to go from one side of the gap the invisible platform covers to the other and it looks almost like you are walking on the string. : ) | 2009-07-15 11:18:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |

All materials turn invisible when you make them small enough. | 2009-07-15 11:26:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
Polystyrene is the best invisible grab material, don't think it will work with sponge. Just shrink it as far as it will go and draw a line, then pick it up and rotate it 45 degrees and it will let you shrink it even more. | 2009-07-15 11:35:00 Author: Kiminski Posts: 545 |

There is a thin layer grabbable material which was a glitch that I think may now have been fixed but you can still play a level with it in that gives some as a prize. I collected it but haven't tried using it yet. It's in a grabbable rope level by xMZBx if you want it. The original creator it says is TraderSam and he also has a level with lots of thin layer shapes that occupy the thick layer and can be attached to another thin layer although I've never collected them so I don't know if they still work or not. | 2009-07-15 12:11:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |

no, when you shrink sponge down it's still visible I think he was talking about if you use the circle? Still not sure if that works for everything... | 2009-07-15 21:41:00 Author: tjb0607 Posts: 1054 |
i've made some of this, and dissolve seems best for the job, if ur good u can use a series of bolts to make it lower 45 degress, up & down, etc. (PS, IM BAAAAAK GUYS) | 2009-07-15 22:56:00 Author: johnrulz77 Posts: 835 |
Here's a small post on that level: 1. Place 2 dark matter blocks or just a wall. 2. Place string, elastic (dumb) or wrench on the 2 dark matter blocks or wall. 3. Get dissolve(recommended), poly or sponge, use the oval shape, make about 20 oval shapes but in a line. 4. Make it 4x longer than the wall, then shrink the shapes until it's invisible. 5. Glue the invisible grabbable thing on the wall. (it's impossible to glue it on the wrench or whatever) 6. Test it. | 2009-07-16 04:49:00 Author: Unknown User |
no, when you shrink sponge down it's still visible I've made invisible sponge. It does go invisible, but L3'ing it and spreading it makes it visible, but with sharp edges. | 2009-07-16 16:00:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
