Taking an in-game screenshot for PC
Archive: 17 posts
Need a flash drive I didn't see a tutorial thread on this, so, here goes: - 1 - While playing the game, take a screenshot with the screenshot tool on the top of any sticker page. - 2 - Later, find the picture on the "My pictures" page, and hit the square button. Select the "Export to HDD" button and hit x. - 3 - Next, have a quit the game and go to your pictures tab on the Playstation main screen. Choose the folder for LBP, and select the picture. - 4 - Plug in your flash drive, and hit triangle when selecting the picture (but not viewing it). Choose the "Copy" button, and then select your device. It will now begin copying (takes a few seconds). - 5 - Put the flash drive in your computer, upload the pics, and voila! Your done! Another way: Once you've uploaded the pic to your PS3 HDD, exit the game and go to the PSN browser. Navigate to this site (LBPCentral.com) and log in, then go to the Gallery page (you'll notice it in the toolbar near the top of each page here) and upload your image from your HDD. Apparently you can just email the pic to yourself using an internet based email. Such as hotmail. Then you wouldn't need a flash drive. I haven't tried it though because I do have a flash drive. If anyone doesn't know what a flash drive is, it is a USB stick. | 2009-07-15 10:24:00 Author: moleynator Posts: 2914 |
Another method that I have used (thanks Morgana) is to use the PSN web browser. I really hate the browser on the PS3, but it has been useful to me for this method: Once you've uploaded the pic to your PS3 HDD, exit the game and go to the PSN browser. Navigate to this site (LBPCentral.com) and log in, then go to the Gallery page (you'll notice it in the toolbar near the top of each page here) and upload your image from your HDD. Perhaps CC or a Mod could share any policies LBPC has concerning the lifetime, expiration, and use of these images. It may still be preferred that you then download your image back to your own PC/Mac and post it on an image sharing site such as Flickr or Photobucket. But this is at least an option if you have no USB drive available. | 2009-07-15 13:49:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
But memory sticks cost hardly anything these days and you don't have to use the (in my opinion) horrible PS browser. | 2009-07-15 14:00:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
But memory sticks cost hardly anything these days and you don't have to use the (in my opinion) horrible PS browser. Very true... this is just another alternative that can be rather convenient in a pinch (I had left my USB drive stuck in my work PC). | 2009-07-15 14:16:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |

Is there a way to make the image less blurry when exporting? | 2009-12-20 15:17:00 Author: psman012 Posts: 106 |
Is there a way to make the image less blurry when exporting? Sadly, there is not. Maximum resolution is 320x240. If you can find someone with a capture card, they can take higher resolution shots for you. ...or you can always take a picture of the screen. Sure it's also blurry, but the resolution will be higher. | 2009-12-20 15:37:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
