Short of levels to play in LittleBigPlanet? Well, you shouldn?t be! There are literally hundreds of thousands of community levels available to play online, all hand-crafted by our lovely players. So, MmPicks returns again with a handful of our current favourite levels, all available to play right now. These levels are exploding with creativity and ingenuity, leaving us both amazed and in awe of their creators. Heck, ? sometimes we are so amazed at a level, we even hire the creator, and have them comment on levels in MmPicks, completing the circle of life, and restoring balance to the universe. Or something. So head on to the LittleBigPlanet and check out these levels (http://www.mediamolecule.com/2009/07/14/feed-me-levels-feed-me-mmpicks/)! ------------------------- "Feed me levels, feed me MmPicks!" is an automatically posted news item which was grabbed from MediaMolecule.com (http://www.mediamolecule.com). Wow, absolutley everyone on this list is from this site! Well done everone great set of levels there! | 2009-07-14 11:39:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
Great levels, all of them! Looks like MM has good tastes when it comes to levels! If they only applied that to the level rating system D: | 2009-07-14 11:52:00 Author: Keldur Posts: 628 |
Some people complain that there aren?t any Mm quality levels in the Community, well, this level (one of many, many) is easily on par with what we created, so, you know, they rong. On a par? Some community levels are on a par with MM? Are they kidding, or just being very, very arrogant? There are plenty of levels in the community that absolutely spank MMs levels hands down! But at least MM are promoting true talent again, this can only be a good thing. There's a couple here that need to be added to my to-play list | 2009-07-14 12:03:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
I don't think there are levels theat can beat Mm's - some are very close though. | 2009-07-14 12:09:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
I think there are some community levels better than any MM level. But yeah, it's a close call. But I think they pretty much summed up here why they haven't made level packs a priority, and are rather spending more time on getting us new tools and online create and such. | 2009-07-14 12:22:00 Author: hilightnotes Posts: 1230 |

But at least MM are promoting true talent again, this can only be a good thing. There's a couple here that need to be added to my to-play list I wouldn't say that :/ Maybe it's because I don't browse the lbp community levels enough, but I don't remember seeing a level and thinking "This is better that any Mm level" Even it's obvius, that, as they said, there are many that are "on a par" | 2009-07-14 12:35:00 Author: Keldur Posts: 628 |
Great choices, I know what I'll be playing next in LittleBigPlanet. | 2009-07-14 12:42:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
I don't think any level could outmatch MM's, MM levels would be in the highest category, followed closely by the superior levels (Gruntos's levels/Splat Invaders, etc. ) MM's levels are incredibly polished and probably took really long to look perfect and pretty much being the example as to what levels should look like.. Ontopic; these levels deserve to be in here! Haven't played half of them yet, *quickly rushes to ps3* MM picks ftw | 2009-07-14 12:43:00 Author: AwesomePossum Posts: 446 |
Wow, what a lovely surprise! My congrats to all the other LBPC members too! Thanks, Mm! Or should I say Hyper Thanks! *shocked* | 2009-07-14 12:43:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
I think what makes Mm's levels so good is that they have all these new materials/objects to show off and so it sticks in our memory more. Whereas a lot of community levels just repeat what Mm started. | 2009-07-14 12:43:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
A lot of user's levels potentially would beat hard MM's levels, though, what I think is that many times users "outdo" levels with the result to "underperform". MM's levels greatest winning point is their playability...what I mean...if you continue to die in the great wheel of the bunker, is because you didn't took the right time to jump, grab or whatever. Many creator instead try to stretch difficulties over the ridicoulus, and you die because you slip on a plain that is more little than a sackboy's foot and has a spiky edge. Speaking only about StarCruiser (it's the only level that I played) and I can say that it beats MM visually, and quite equals it gameplaywise, I mean player should not get frustrated, and repeating the same spot even 20 times (I don't know if I love infinity checkpoint anymore) could spoil a level of all its visual grace. | 2009-07-14 12:45:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |

Sure you are, Basketsnake Congratulations to all who got picked!! Well done everyone!! It is only natural that most of them are members of this awesome little site we have here (little?) | 2009-07-14 12:56:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
o/ Only played two of the levels (Starcruiser and Hyper Cube) picked, but they were very good. Now with that extra motivation I should finally get around to finishing my next level. : ) | 2009-07-14 12:59:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
Now that I hink of it, Zwollie, I don't think it's little, at least right now. I've kinda seen it grow for quite a while (lurking in the shadows, remember) and it sure has grown a lot, even if more of the users in the "introduction threads" tend to post just a few posts and leave, wich is a shame D: Just for the sake of repeating this: Those are a must play, completely great levels! | 2009-07-14 13:01:00 Author: Keldur Posts: 628 |
Now that I hink of it, Zwollie, I don't think it's little, at least right now. I've kinda seen it grow for quite a while (lurking in the shadows, remember) That's why I added the question mark at the end I'm actually amazed at how much the site has grown these past few months!! | 2009-07-14 13:02:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
I see people say levels cant beat MM levels but i think the levels would be equal or greater than them if they had 30-40 useful prize bubbles to give away too. The thing we cant duplicate from a MM level is 40 usefull decorations/strickers/costumes/sounds/music within our level. SO i think when we play a new MM level we're also happy for those too. Just a thought. | 2009-07-14 13:06:00 Author: BlackToof Posts: 172 |
GREAT to see Dob6's "Dark and stormy night" get in there. Fantastic level - and I got to be a tester! This guy is definately a success story. Put his first "King-O-Side" on the showcase in a buggy state - got a TON of feedback.... I thought me and Maraz_Matari scared him off.... turned it into a great level that made the spotlight - and THEN released 2 of my favorite levels after that! "Lost under glass" was my favorite from him. Hope he sees this MM pick! | 2009-07-14 13:46:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
*points at Hyper Cube* See that level right there? My friend made that level. Which makes me association-cool. *twitches at sudden horrible thought* Ohnoes! That means Mm is trolling our Community Spotlights! And I don't post pictures of my levels well enough yet! And all my joke Magic Mouths are localized for America! HOW WILL I EVER ESCAPE my drab, wretched existence if I don't attract unwarranted, undeserved attention from these European funlords?! Arrrarararrarghghghgh... ...okay, I'm back now. Seriously, MrsSB, grats. | 2009-07-14 14:10:00 Author: coyote_blue Posts: 422 |
coyote_blue said "And all my joke Magic Mouths are localized for America!" lol coyote! You spell it 'localised' here in the UK But seriously, thanks very much. I appreciate your comments, and your friendship. | 2009-07-14 14:37:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
well done everyone who made it! I kept going, 'I know him! and her! and him!' as I looked down the list haha! | 2009-07-14 14:56:00 Author: Matt 82 Posts: 1096 |
Starcruiser, A Royal Love Letter and Electronomicon DELTA are three of my favorite levels (a relatively exclusive 30 or so level/series list)... Electronomicon in specific is severely overlooked and underplayed, even on this forum. | 2009-07-14 15:51:00 Author: Unknown User |
Whoa nice, a lot of those picks are from people on LBPC . Gotta go play these levels now! | 2009-07-14 16:20:00 Author: brnxblze Posts: 1318 |
Congrats to those who got picked! Those are all great levels and deserve all the plays and attention they get! | 2009-07-14 16:59:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |
This really is a sign of how far the community has developed since the release of the game. There are just so many community levels out now with the ingenuity, style and prowess of professional game developers. I'm really looking forward to seeing what lies in the future for this game... | 2009-07-14 17:16:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
Some amazing levels indeed. And when it comes to candyK, she only publishes perfection--a true master at creating a stage that will leave a lasting imprint on the mind. Rick | 2009-07-14 17:25:00 Author: RickRock_777 Posts: 1567 |
As usual, LBPC dominates a set of great levels! Well done creators, this is quite the Picks | 2009-07-14 22:06:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
LBPC FTW! I've played 4 levels out of 6 and they're great... Anyway...Dark and Stormy Night is wonderful, Love Letter 1 is great but I undoubtely prefer part 2. I still have to see Electronomicon and Syroc's level | 2009-07-15 06:59:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
I don't think there are levels theat can beat Mm's - some are very close though. Tree Fortress is the best level on LBP, although NOBODY's second Mario level is really amazing and, I think, is better than the MM levels on LBP. They should seriously hire Splapp-me-do. He's a great creator. | 2009-07-15 09:00:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
That's great! Mm is finally getting back to what it used to do. Now if only they could start working on the news section and Play Create Share rating... | 2009-07-15 16:46:00 Author: Noremac469 Posts: 143 |
This MM picks is excellent and I think StarCruiser is the best looking LBP level i've ever seen INCLUDING MEDIA MOLECULE ONES. . | 2009-07-15 19:32:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
There seems to be some really good levels this time. The detail in the spaceship level is more then just amazing. Congrats to the creators who got featured! | 2009-07-16 18:32:00 Author: lk9988 Posts: 1077 |
