The Flying TeapotMarihond
This one is a tribute to the great psychedelic space rock band GONG. The level has loads of references to Gong albums/titles/lyrics, and the level is made in a playful/na?ve/psychedelic way. Colours, humour and psychedelia, hope you enjoy it!

I meant to leave you a note on this one. I played it a few days ago and didn't get very far. I thought the characters at the front were very unusual but interesting. I don't know the band it references so I can't comment on that part of the level. I'll have to try and get through it again. I was with a group and the flip sponge stuff in the front was just mayhem to try and get through. I'll report back!2009-07-14 16:21:00

I'll check it out. Sounds awesome. If I don't give you any feedback, I'll give you a special prize.

No but seriously, Ima check it out.

k - made it through last night and it's a colorful level full of strange but interesting sights. I don't know if I can honestly give it an informed critique as I don't know a thing about the band you've based it on. I can say that it's got some memorable characters and lots of different stuff going on. The lighting wheel thing was cool and I liked how you had the yellow ring form the O in Gong. I noticed that if you collect all the prize bubbles you get the gong sound right below the band name Gong too. Not sure if that was intentional but it was pretty cool.

I'm not sure why you arranged some of the obstacles the way you have but I can only guess it makes more sense if you know the band's material. Very colorful, but almost too much in some spots - also probably has to do with some band reference I'm unaware of.

Overall I thought it was a memorable level. I gave it three stars. Thanks for sharing it!

Same here. I don't know the source material that you based the game on.

I have to say that the characters looked very interesting and they were what stayed with me while playing the levels.

The obstacles were a little strange and unfamiliar. I think that some of the speech bubbles referenced a bands material and some even sounded familiar but I didn't associate with them with a band called 'gong'

All I can think of to increase the level's value is to add an introduction to the band and its legacy at the beginning of the level with one of the characters by adding a few more speech bubbles so people unfamiliar with the source material can understand a little more what is going on.

If you get a chance I would appreciate a f4f for my level 'Towers of Patheon.'

I played this level yesterday. It was very pretty, but some parts were a lot worse than others, especially a section (the one where you knock down the wall with your body) where you can see the bottom. It's looks fantastic and fits a psychedelic band (even though I've never heard of Gong). It's a decent amount of fun but it's way too short and after a while I felt like I was seeing a lot of stuff from MM's levels. But it was still full of original ideas which is why I gave it 4 stars.2009-08-02 19:55:00

I'm typing as I'm playing through the level.

I'm gonna have to agree with everyone and say everything in this level is unusual lol. I like how you did the O in GONG. Some arrows above the mushrooms would've helped cuz I didn't know where to go at first. Wow, this level is trippy. I like how you colored all the Mm stuff. Hmm, that's all I can really say, the level was fairly short, I think.

Overall, I gave :star::star::star:

your levels are all so richly bizare. This one is no exception.
Mmy favorite part was tward the begining, where you have the pits of prize bubbles protected by the reverse trap doors. Clever. I would have liked to have seen some more origional shapes to replace some of the standard MM stuff especially the pull-out staircase that you see everyone and their dog using.

not a bad level. I had a good time playing it. now I'm off to go look up gong on utube to see what would inspire a level like this.

---5 mins later

Wow! funky and smooth! here's some of what I found. Thanks for turning me on to this!

now I think I'm starting to get this level...I think I'll try it with this playing.

Yes. That works. recomend you start about 2 minutes into the song.
