Hello, everyone. This thread used to be a collaborative level review thread sponsored by a forum called Leper Messiah (hence +lm as the thread title), but quickly died once the community moved to other games.

Anyway, I have returned to LBP, and I am happy to announce that I will once more review your levels! This includes simply recording your levels, reviewing your levels, commentating on the level (but not reviewing), a combination of the three, or various things involving video. Hey great job on these, and welcome to LBPCentral! I'll have to keep in touch because I have a project I'm almost done with... and I never get many plays! So stuff like this could really help me out.

EDIT:

Ok, well I finished my project finally, after like 300 hours and 4 months - and I need every available resource to promote it. I NEVER get more than a couple hundred plays on levels I spend forever on - so I would LOVE/am in dire need of a review of this thing.

It's two levels, released together, linked together - basically it's no longer than a single level, but due to not cutting any corners it destroyed the thermo instantly... so it's in two parts. It's basically like the collector's lair, and then the collector boss fight right after.

Anyways it's called "Deja Boom!" PSN: LuckyShot. And I really hope you review it. (and the second half is called "Deja Boom" (Part 2)		2009-07-13 03:01:00

I will say that my level could be done by this Saturday, or it could take as long as a month. Simply depends.


Occupy yourself with those links, though. Some good levels and humor and whatnot to be had if you're ever bored.

May, yes. Then Killzone 2 got even more thicker and better and we (a Killzone 2 clan) decided to continue playing for a bit.

thanx for the Review all way good to hear what anyone have to say. I did't know if players will take to the ideas, So I wanted it to be a nice relaxing and fun play to be just running around jumping lol

Ok, trip, I edited the first post of the thread to accommodate the changes and my return as a reviewer. The post above yours was just to bump the thread up (I guess).

All info can be found in that first post, and it's as easy as a simple copy/paste with answers to the criteria. Reviewed levels will have videos in this thread, but creators can then use the video link for their own threads and what not.

My statement that "comments would be appreciated in return" is merely just to help me out. It's not required by any means, but functions as a tool to help me improve and give me feedback on what I do.

It's been awhile since I've reviewed a level, but I'm curious how you guys feel about keeping the video length short to not spoil the level entirely. Let me know. Also, trip, I will send you the video link via a profile message so that you can copy/paste it in your Level Showcase thread. Hopefully the video will add a nice touch to your thread.

Really, I added that to ask creators if they wanted the review to include a playthrough of their entire level, BUT I think I will remove that field since I've decided to only showcase certain areas of the level (so I don't spoil the whole level). I receive comments on my videos on YouTube, but people who watch the videos here never provide me with some feedback (positive or negative). If you've seen some of my videos (especially video reviews), please feel free to vote on how you feel. This helps me out, and it also helps out those who submit levels for review. I review LBP levels to aid the publication aspect for creators. It's an opportunity for everyone to increase their plays and reputation as creators.

Hey, everyone!

Just wanted to mention that not only have I been busy, but YouTube has aborted my uploads. I receive "Failed (upload aborted)" notes whenever I upload a video, and so this is obviously a problem. I'm trying things to resolve this issue, but it seems that YouTube is not (the problem has affected thousands of users since November, and in fact they've made the problem worse).

Now, a quick fix would be to NOT use XP or Firefox (or both together). I tried Internet Explorer (I truly regret it), and I received a Windows error message that locked up my computer. Nice, eh?

So, bare with me as I try to resolve this. I'm not entirely sure how. Thanks, and luckily I can still create my LBP levels and play yours. I've recorded levels requested here, but note that YouTube is preventing me of sharing your levels with others on the internet. Sorry.

I guess the thing to remember in my stage is to take things slow and try to tackle each enemy one at a time versus in groups like in the vid until you become really comfortable with the controls. Hope you enjoy!		2010-03-16 01:52:00

I explain many things in the video including an update of where I'm going with reviewing. See, I do video reviews of requests by people over at the LBPWorkshop, too. Well, on that forum, there is a review group called LittleBIGReviewers, and I was invited to join...and I accepted. So hopefully this enables you guys to get more publicity with your levels. But, mind you, this is LBPCentral. But, I will continue to review levels requested from here. Except...now I will most likely review levels at my liking. Two weeks ago I was extremely busy, and last week I was very sick. And so, as you probably know, I'm very behind on video reviewing. Further down this post, there will be a list of everything I have to review. So, EVENTUALLY, I will get to your level, but note that since I'm so far behind, I'm going to review on a random basis. So, this could annoy some people and be frustrating, but since I am so far behind, this may help with catching up. Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still here and that I'm still reviewing, but just that things will be done a little differently.

And on a general note: I have been absent from reviews for a while now, but I'm also hesitant because I will be getting a new laptop soon and school is almost over. Well, I would do that, but school will end soon and I'll be able to do a ton of reviews over the summer despite all the other stuff I have going. So, while I'm delaying them once more, I'll get to most of them in a couple weeks' time. UPDATE POST!

Ok guys, I have graduated!

The way things are going to work:

I still have family in town, but I plan to hopefully finish my level by Sunday (yes, I actually have been working on something new that is almost finished!). I will record it and then advertise the hell out of it, republish it, and what have you (since that's really the only way to gain some attention in LBP, unfortunately). Then, following Sunday, I have an enormous stack of requests that I promised everyone I would review, and I'm keeping that promise and hopefully dishing out the first helping of reviews early next week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday).

At the moment, my main focus for a while this summer is really just to relax. I have plenty of plans, but for awhile I plan to relax, and for you guys, that means reviews. I do have a job, but I'm not sure when I start, and when I do, the hours are 5 pm - 9 pm Eastern. So for those of you in Europe, that's 11 pm - 3 am. On the west coast, that's 2 pm - 6 pm. These are roughly what it will be, but that could definitely change.

I posted that to help you guys out with when I may have reviews up (those times are likely when I may upload them to YouTube, since I can just let them begin without me waiting). Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post, and keep requesting!

Alright, guys. I feel terrible, but I have decided that I WILL NOT review the levels that have been requested here.

I feel that I am letting down a lot of people, but at the same time I just don't see myself doing it, and I don't want to continue making false promises.

So, essentially, I ask that you stop posting requests, as they will not be answered.


HOWEVER:

I WILL continue to review when LBP2 is released. And this IS a promise. However, I may create a new thread then or do something different in that regard, but I will have the same YouTube channel. I will change up the format for requesting, because obviously I will not be able to keep up with the influx of requests. Additionally, I will be in college and I may still have a job, so I'm talking about 1 review a week maybe.


I know this is an unfortunate announcement, but it just doesn't seem likely that I can do this right now. Work is taking a hefty chunk of my free time away, and everything about this is inconvenient at the moment. I mentioned above that I may complete 1 video review a week when LBP2 is released. It may be more, though. It all depends on my college workload, my work hours, and my setup. If everything is how it seems it will be, then recording will actually be more convenient.

So, I'm taking a break for awhile. I'll still have videos, but they'll be about different stuff. Thanks for supporting me, and I apologize with never coming true to my supposed promises.		2010-06-15 05:26:00
