Starship TroopersCcubbage/CuzFeeshe
http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/vv309/CubbageC/P1010023.jpgJoin the Army and See the Universe! A city on earth has been overrun by bugs, and it's your job to annihilate them! From your starship to the rooftops, blast as many bugs as you can! This level is an action platformer with a large emphasis on giant leaps and bounds, jump platforms, and blasting bug baddies!

Missed out on the last Spotlight due to a revision that saw the removal of vomit and the addition of an homage to his very own Splat Invaders. The result is an action packed, and at times merciless level that doesn't allow you to relax for a second once you leave the safety of the dropship. It features amazingly designed enemies that are genuinely panic inducing as they charge at you, leaving no room for error. Join the fight today!
Bugs, gross but a manageable size generally speaking, here on earth. The bugs in CCubbage's level would give dinosaurs a run for their money. These fast, deadly and plasma shooting bugs with attitude make an already dark and creepy level even more dangerous. A fun level that will keep you coming back. Keep your wits, and you paintinator at the ready, you'll need both.
Don't relax, and keep your finger near to the R1 button because Cub's evil creatures are about. In one of the fastest, most action-packed levels on this showcase we take on plasma shooting bugs of doom destined to ruin LBP forever. Only your lightening fast paintinator skills will help you through this thriller!
Come kick some bug butt in CCubbages homage to Starship Troopers. This has all the hallmarks of a classic CCubbage level, fantastic lighting, wonderful enemies, and fast paced paintinator action. There are some great set pieces, from the dropship to the collapsing buildings and epic subway battles, its a treat from start to finish. Sign up today, join the mobile infantry and become a citizen!A Royal Love Letter 1 - The Swampy DeathLuke/Mamett-box
http://www.npshare.de/files/dd7b216a/sumpf2.jpgYou're in prison for unknown reasons (maybe for smuggling bubbles?). But one day you get released because the king wants you to visit him. You have to travel to the capital where the king plans to offer you a deal that could solve your problems.

Up there with the most beautiful levels created, Mammet-box has made an incredible adventure that features gorgeous and uniquely styled charaters as well as a flawless use of layers to weave together his own world. With one of the best bosses LBP has ever seen, this level is a must play.
A strange and wondrous world awaits you in this level. Amazingly detailed and rich with characters there are tons of unique things to see and experience. Just when you think you know where the level is heading it spins around and surprises you in a totally new way. Excellent use of layers in the design as well. Vehicle enthusiasts need to see the locomotive design at the beginning of the level. Really enjoyable and memorable.
LBP opens itself up to hundreds of possibilities, but this is even weirder than most of the others. What has been created here, is a Tim Burton-esque level with visuals that rival some of the best levels out there. Everything in this level has been planned and executed to the T, and now it's your turn to enjoy it.Project G3N3515: Prelude MrsSpookyBuz/MrsSpookyBuz
http://i722.photobucket.com/albums/ww227/MrsSpookyBuz/ProjectGENESISb.jpgA secret mission to a lost planet... An abandoned facility of unknown origin... Uncover the secrets and discover the truth of GENESIS. Comply. Or die. Make your way from a interstellar space ship through dangers in space and if you survive re-entry fight to stay alive on and under the surface of an alien world.

A fun sci-fi styled level with a great cinematic opener. Great design and some very innovative material usage really give you the impression your on some alien world. Platorming challenge is top notch, always fair, and will keep even hardcore players on their toes. Wonderful details including custom bubble icons and a cool laser show. You must comply and play or you will be sorry.
The second level that got delayed from Spotlight 16, this time due to technical difficulties. A lovely intro that showcases an awesome re-entry scene leads into a fun and polished platformer. MrsSpookyBuzz has been experimenting in the create mode and it has resulted in some great scenery and effects. As is expected from MrsSpookyBuzz, the level proves challenging without being frustrating and leaves the player satisfied at making it through alive!
Intro sections are becoming all the rage at the moment, and MrsSpookyBuzz has upped the ante again. A great sequence see's your starship crash in an asteroid field, and after an escape pod sequence you land in a strange facility. What stood out for me in the level was the excellent platforming throughout, tricky and extremely well designed hazards will keep you on your toes, and with the promise of more levels in the series to add to the amazing first part, whats not to like?Jungle Tribe VillageArt of Tyler/Art_of_Tyler
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_6-3.jpgAdventure through part of a Savannah jungle. A local tribe makes this jungle there home. The tribe them selves are pretty friendly, but there living Tiki masks will think of you as non-friendly. Run past the lazy lions, swing past snapping crocs, hop through stampeding Rhinos and much more.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s394DFPJULk

Normally taking on a theme that Mm have already done is a kiss of death since your level will always be compared to the originals. However 'Jungle Tribe Village' need not fear comparisons with anything as it`s an original, gorgeous and fun platformer that is among the very best the community has to offer.
Details, details, details! A great platforming level with plenty of challenge and things to do with fantastic details. Subtly done with an artistic hand, the vines, flowers and twigs are executed very well and add a level of polish to this already fun level. Great animals and masked baddies round out the level. A nice outdoorsy feel that will leave you more than satisfied when you jump onto the scoreboard.
Media Molecule - meet your maker! A level that is bound to surprise you because of the pure brilliance and attention to detail on show here. Solid platforming add to the experience, but the visuals overshadow everything else done here - this one has to be seen to be believed!
Chroma Stone Chronicles: Part 4 - Irridia's GemMorgana25/Morgana25
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/DSCN8481.jpgThis is an "air/atmospnere" themed level featuring the purple fairy Irridia. Make your way across a windy and very colorful landscape where you will encounter "ion's", elaborate butterflies, button blowing bubble characters, and an "epic" (I hope) boss battle. I tried to ramp up the difficulty a bit on this one. It's not hard by a long shot but there are some areas that are a bit harder than my normal fare. I've compensated by making all the checkpoints infinite and I hope people finish it. I don't have "secrets" per se but I've got bubbles in some pretty interesting places so look around, you've got infinite lives after all.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2K-fOcM-ePY&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Elbpcentral%2Ecom%2Fforums% 2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D13276&feature=player_embedded

This level has been a long time coming and it was worth the wait. An ethereal dreamscape if ever there was one. Morgana has bumped up the challenge as well for those who felt the earlier levels were a little too easy. Another fantastic level to add to the collection. Light and glass has never looked so good!
As Matt said above me, the level was a long time coming but certainly worthy of the wait. After a familiar, but still jaw-droppingly beautiful intro sets you on your quest for the fourth gem, and what follows is a romp through a very detailed fairy tail-like enviroment, full of places to explore and admire the aesthetics. With an increase in difficulty, and a great boss to round off a great level, my only grip is how long Morgana will keep is waiting for part 5!!!
Few level series have truely captured the cute charm and brilliant character design available on LBP. But this is a series that is similar to its creator in that it just keeps on giving! Beautiful graphics and challenging gameplay that only Morgana could provide us with, and it was well worth the wait!
Up & Away In Sky Townjump_button/jump_button
http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/7685/aphoto2r.jpgWell I had this idea of doing a level with the player holding on to a balloon. I have been thinking of gameplay to go with that so I hope you love the look and the gameplay and hope it feels like no other level out there.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5anuA_3u-g

Jump_Button's levels are always a joy to play. They have a relaxed atmosphere, with the emphasis on beauty rather than challenge. He also strives for innovation and has createwith this level a whole new way to play by having a balloon change how far and high Sackboy can jump. I`ve no doubt we`ll see more creators using similar tricks to expand the possibilities of LBP in the near future.
It's been staring us in the face the whole time LBP has been out but it took jump_button to fully explore the potential of the humble balloon. What most creators (myself included) have done with balloons has been to use them as decorations or an easy way to move a player up in a level. In this case jump_button has designed platform challenges that would be impossible to complete without the help of a balloon. Great windmill designs and breeze blown scaffolding and bridges float by as you grip your trusty balloon to help make impossibly long jumps and climbs. Fantastic "wind" system to blow the balloon up when needed really has to be seen to be believed. Fantastic gameplay and innovation are the stars of this great level.
What better way to relax than to enjoy serenely floating through the sky with a balloon in your hands, enjoying Jump_Buttons unmistakable visual style and flair. The level is perhaps the most calming and chilled out experience you can have in LBP. Gain some lift off wind turbines and windmills, float across gaping chasms and use your air-filled freind to open new paths. With one amazingly designed and beautiful section after another, Jump_button has created another grade A classic.
After an action packed session of playing crazed LBP levels, what better way to unwind than loading up a level where you literally drift along allowing the wind to take you. The balloon mechanic is simple enough, average to watch but can only truely be experienced first hand. Floating around feels so natural that you'll be surprised this is the first level to incorperate a balloon in such a way. Imagine Lost Wind crossed with mario platforming and visuals only jump_button could come up with and you've got Up and Away in Sky Town. Thrown in are some of the cleverest ways to move from point A to point B that will have you swooning after them! Go play it now.
Aperture Science: Sackboy Escapecomphermc/comphermc
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=541&pictureid=4724As the name suggests, Sackboy Escape is all about your daring escape from the final obstacle in part one. You soon find yourself 'behind-the-scenes' of Aperture Science, and it looks vastly different from this side of things. At one point in your adventure, you manage to find yourself in the unfinished Aperture Science Advanced Chambers, which present a new twist on the under-hung switch mechanic from part one (I hope everyone likes flinging), as well as a taste of the old puzzle types from Sackboy Chambers. GlaDOS tried to kill you, but now the table have turned...

Another creator who seems to work 3 times as fast as everyone else! More excellently judge logic puzzles here, with timing and quick wits paramount to survival. The cake is no lie in this level.
When last we left him, comphermc had our sackboys and girls heading for an incinerator. Thankfully in his second level of this series he's pulled our cloth out of the fire so we can get a little payback on GlaDOS, or at least try to get to her. Challenging platforming that includes a really unique and tricky "fling" maneuver and excellent use of layers will keep you on your toes and looking for a way to the next area. The classic humor is back in the form of funny text bubbles from GlaDOS. A worthy successor to part 1 that you'll enjoy.
Escape the incinerator and move one step closer to sticking to the (wo)man GlaDOS. Continuing the mind bending puzzles and awesome visuals of the series, this level is both great to play, wonderful to look at and a definite challenge. An excellent use of all three planes and starkly contrasting sections drive you from one wonderfiully thoughout out puzzle and witty dialogue to the next. Even if the cake is a lie, you won't really mind, the level satisfies enough on its own.
Canyon JazzYarbone/MrSpoonyLegs
http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/ee357/Yarbone/Eenfoto_1.jpgSo basically this is a survival challenge where random pre-made sections keep coming in from the right. The camera is fixed, and there's gas around the edges. I just made a randomizer, and gave it 8 different options to choose from. Each option is connected to a randomizer, with each randomizer emitting a different section (which makes 8).

I love a good survival challenge and this is a great survival challenge. MrSpoonyLegs has made a complex arrangement appear simple and that`s the mark of a good designer.
An innovative twist on the infinite background. Rather than emit a background this level emits the level itself. A technical triumph as the separate sections seamlessly connect to keep the platform challenges rolling. Excellent level for replay and a nice twist on a survival level challenge.
I was in awe of the mechanics used by Yarbone in this level. With randomized sections appearing in front you, and an old-school side-scrolling mechanic pushing you on this is novel take on the survival challenge type level. When you add thats its a blast to play, with great visuals and massive replay value, you've got a level thats brimming with the creators inventiveness and flair. The 7th Idol -- Survival Game --Miglioshin/Miglioshin
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_5-3.jpgThis is my personal view about survival challenges, and who has already played one of my latest levels knows that I love to break the 'rules' of the game. The task is similar to 'standard' survival challenges (max out the score with one life) but this time it will take place in an entire level designed to kill and deceive. If you are skilled enough there is a second task to accomplish; the level is filled with secret areas (filled with extra points and extra danger) and among theese secret areas there are particular ones that hides the lost seven idols; but to reveal each one of them an additional challenge must be overcome. And if you feel you are a master player, the ultimate task is to leave the level alive having discovered all the idols. Each discovered idol add extra score when leaving the level alive, but only in that case. The level is designed to leave the player the ability to choose his/her path and even to backtrack from the most part of the level (exception made for the very ending segments from which you can't return back). As survival levels becomes harder as the time passes, this level becomes harder as you progress deeper and further into its depths, but this not means that it will be easy at the beginning, in fact it starts hard and becomes harder. So, be extremely careful while gadding around!

Get ready to see a survival challenge turned on it's head. A platform level you are given only one life to complete. Thoroughly littered with ways to die it's a challenge to just make it to the other side of a set of spikes or across a rickety bridge. Excellent replay value as you try to find all the hidden idols strewn throughout the level. A fun level that has a great blend of challenge, scenery and innovation.
This would've worked as a regular level so it`s good to see that it works so well as a survival challenge. A cute exterior hides the perils that lie within as spikes adorn every nook and cranny. As deadly as it is beautiful, as it is fun!
What a level to explore! Multiple paths and some excellent opportunity for serious points multipliers. But be warned, you only get one chance and believe me, theres enough here to end your time in the this beautiful level. Miglioshin keeps creating knockout level after knockout level, and this one is no exception.Lost Ages deftmute/deftmute
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v251/elahrairha/halftower.jpgA mysterious entity summons sackboy into a realm that has been ravaged by monsters to save the day. This level starts out slow with some basic platforming and leads into more action based "dungeons". There are two dungeons and they can be completed in either order.

Be warned before playing this level. It will demand your attention, respect and skill. Casual players may not enjoy the extreme camera angles, precision jumps or length BUT hardcore players and eye candy junkies should not miss this artistic gem. Very ICO like in it's quiet artistry it features some innovative momentum driven platforming sections and lots of challenge. Deftmute's unapologetically challenging level will have you glued to the controller or throwing it in disgust. I count myself in the former group and hope you will love it as much as I've grown to.
Lost ages sums itself up. You can become lost for ages in a whole other world. Difficult puzzles, fun camera angles and lovely visuals. A level that captivates your mind more than anything else, but still manages to be both engaging and fun.
A very epic level from start to finish, enter a world of towering ruins from a civilization long lost. It certainly is a challenge, from the perilous platforms to the perplexing puzzles, this is certainly not for the faint at heart, and is a fair challenge from beginning to end. With the option to choose your path at the start, and a long, hard journey to the end, its a level I can recommend to the hardcore for its constant challenge and thrilling visuals. Beware the Jabberwockfullofwin/Elvenbane
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_1-3.jpgScenic romp through a level inspired by Lewis Carroll's poem. I wanted to make a level anyone could enjoy/finish, so the visuals were very important. I also wanted to provide some challenge/replayabilty so there are hidden score bubbles throughout the level. An over-view map at the end provides location hints on what you missed.

A classic poem beautifully illustrated in an LBP level. From the first moment you pop into this wonderfully designed world you'll know it's something special. Fantastic animal design and spectacularly done landscapes from cute farm to a wonderfully done windmill to an absolutely breathtaking swamp, down through some dark caves and into spooky woods. Small details like flaming trees, crackling campfires and lighting along with some of the most innovative uses for decoration items I've ever seen elevate this level's quality. If the eye candy wasn't enough reason to check it out - there are tons of secrets and surprises you need to find. If you miss any there is a brilliant map at the end of the level so you can replay and check closer in the areas you missed one. A joy to play and play again - don't miss this level!
Beautiful by any standard, it also has a loads of replay value found in the generous amount of secrets to be found in the level. Cute characters throughout with a novel use of switches make this a must see level.
Making a level from a nonsensical poem like Louis Carroll's Jabberwocky is no mean, but this level pulls it off, and pulls it off with considerable style. Its an extremely beautiful journey through villages, forests and gorgeously lit caves to the confrontation with the beast itself. With plenty of secrets to find, and a novel way of telling you how many you found at the end, this level is brilliance from start to finish. The Ice Cream Palaceantman/amblaze
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_4-3.jpgIce Cream Palace was a very challenging concept. Unfortunately, i couldnt make it as extravagent as i envisioned it (due to the thermometer and or lack of skill.) But i did put a lot a work into it (and a heck of a lot of stickers) so i think its a decent level. Check it out if your interested. The name of the level describes it all.

A feast for the eyes, that incidentally may make you crave ice cream - you've been warned. Check out this sweet level that's as much fun to play as it is to look at. Vanilla, chocolate and strawberry scoops to swing on, hot fudge to cool down, cherries to collect - what's not to love. Great level for all ages with decent challenge to keep all skill levels happy. Go check it out before it melts!
I dare you to play this and not want an ice cream after it! What I love about amblaze`s levels is the way he takes a simple theme and runs with it creating fantastic platforming bliss. Free At LastNinjaMicWZ/NinjaMicWZ
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto-5.jpgThis was a peculiar project. It started out as a way for me to show my friend, CENTURION24, some ideas on how I thought he could improve on his Breakout! level... I ended up getting really inspired to do my own version of the classic escape-from-jail LBP level. It's very much built on CENTURION's basic premise, and I'd recommend playing his original Breakout level if you haven't... but it'll be easy to see that I've taken creative license at every possible opportunity to do something altogether different. There was ALOT I had to leave out, tons of ideas and sequences I couldn't fit in to the level (thought about making two...), but I can tell you I've still got the level literally jam packed with puzzles, aesthetic details and effects, mechanical gadgetry, involving story and dialogue, memorable NPC characters, and even a hint system for some of you (and you know who you are!)... the hint system, I'd like to add, is written entirely in character to the story itself. Also, some cool surprise guest stars. If I've done what I set out to do, then you'll find a rich and fully realized game world in this level.

Professional comes to mind as a description when playing this level. Technically amazing with visual design to match, this is a great level to play if you love puzzles you need to stop and think about for a few seconds.... or minutes. Great inside jokes for LBPCentral.com fans and other surprises keep the mood light as you make your way to the surface. Truly one of the best levels I've ever played on LBP.
Not a level to be squeezed in during the advert break on you favourite TV show! This one requires patience and skill. Great to look at and laugh out loud funny at times, this isn`t your average platformer.
Roll up your sleeves and prepare for one of the hardest, but ultimately most rewarding puzzle levels in LBP. One deliciously fiendish puzzle after another will have your brain aching but your determination to succeed at its highest. With a few LBPC in jokes to lightening the mood, and a hilarious return of a little blue legend, NinjaMicWz has created one of the best, if not the best, puzzle level yet. I have to add in the wonderful design, visuals and enemies to that make this one of the most complete experiences yet. Lone Ninja Episode 4: Assault on Sakunaga Castlecoyote_blue/coyote_blue
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_1-4.jpgLone Ninja Episode 4 is the fourth in its series, and focuses on unique action sequences that simulate "ninja action". I would self-describe as an untalented hardcore gamer: I wish I could finish every ELITE CHALLENGING NINJA TRAINING level I encounter, but I can't...or rather, I generally abandon too-difficult challenges after about 10 attempts and go play a different game (or have a beer ) instead. My Ninja series follows a different motif: figure out how, and you can rock every bad guy's face in a unique manner. Every enemy in the level must be defeated by approaching from angles, rear attack, creative use of tools, etc. No simple head-stomps allowed! (There is one easy head-stomp in the level, but it's not simple.) This is also the series' first true multi-stage boss. I'm very happy with Tengu, the multi-stage Demon Chicken from Episode 3, but let's face it. Shoot the bird a lot and he dies. Hopefully, this new one will be more fun for everyone.

Another fantastically fun level from coyote_blue bursting with ninja action! The charm of this level really is in the scripted specialized ninja moves that you get to do. Sneaking up on enemies and performing acrobatic dispatches that would fit right in any anime movie. Great title sequence and a cool high flying boss battle to round it off.
coyote_blue inspires the ninja genre once again with the fourth in an under-successful series. More people should play this epic level that includes one of the best stealth/attack systems in LBP and a charming boss battle! Go play it now! LORD OF THE RINGS : "The Bearer - Part IV : The DepthsTakelow/Takelow
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=545&pictureid=4797The whole project is called ?The Bearer? and is a series of levels constructed under the theme of ?The Lord of the Rings? by Tolkien. The difficulty and gameplay challenges will be increased progressively level after level, as Sackboy Frodo get closer to the end of his hard journey, in the Mordor. At the end of the Part III: The Fellowship, you reached Fondcomb and the Fellowship of the Ring was constitute. The fourth level take place immediately after, when Frodo leave Fondcomb to reach the depths of the Middle Earth, the Moria?s Mine. Enter the mines, find your way in Balin?s Tomb and survive the Khazad-D?m bridges. But be careful to not cross the legendary Balrog, soul of the earth and fire. More than never, you must bear and protect the One Ring in order to progress througout the level. Don?t lose it, it could be lethal? Will you be brave enough to bear the ring safely and go out of these mines?

An epic story, The Lord of the Rings, as seen through the creative lens of Takelow. Great balrog design and one of the most impressive title sequences ever. Fans of the films will feel right at home and fans of the book will enjoy visiting this version of the Mines of Moria. Great lighting and column design in the lower levels of the mine are a feast for the eyes. Oh yea - don't lose the ring while your checking out all the sights!
A long wait between levels has seen this series become the stuff of legend. Just like the One Ring in fact! Protect the ring at all costs as you descend through the mines. Great atmosphere and visuals as were to be expected from this level. The Balrog was just showing off!
As a keen LOTR fan, I'm also a keen follower of Takelows levels, and am overjoyed he's decided to return and add another chapter to this much loved series. From the impressive opener, past the gigantic statues and into the very depths of Moria itself, this level never fails to impress. Make sure you keep the ring with you through puzzles, collapsable canyons and danger after danger. And the balrog is without a doubt worthy of a third mention. Excellent stuff! Industrial Assistance [Two Player Only]jackofcourse/jackofcourse
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n195/jackofcourse/APhoto_31.jpgMy latest level is all about teamwork! You and a Sackbuddy must work together to overcome the numerous obstacles and contraptions that are a head of you. Awesome fun making this one again, totally different to anything I've previously done and let me look at the game in a whole new way. This level is currently locked, the key is located in another level named 'Key for Industrial Assistance [Two Players required]'. As stated in the title, you must have two players in order to be able to access the key. I have done this to ensure that only people who are accompanied by a Sackfriend are able to play the real level.

A whole level dedicated to the concept of teamwork. What's not to love? Grab a buddy and make your way though clever 2x obstacles and puzzles. Great way to keep both players engaged and a level that helps build trust as you must rely on your friend to stay alive in many places. Nice use of layers and a finale you need to see. Very fun!
A new Jackofcourse level is to me like new DLC from Mm. If Mm did release a 2 player only pack, I`m pretty confident that none of the levels would top this. It has that great look that just uses layers to their full potential and clever and inventive puzzles keep the whole level moving, start to finish.
This level has only added to my suspicions that jackofcourse was created in a test tube by MM to show us that their sublime levels can be bettered, surpassed, and outclassed by all and every means possible. The level is filled with wonderful contraptions and puzzles that you'll need to overcome with a buddy in tow. I had a blast playing the level with a few freinds, and I have no absolutely no doubt you will to.
Since the dawn of LBP, many have tried to create a fun level for two players to enjoy - but few have had the great success of Jackofcourse. This 2 player level will require you to bring along a friend, but that only doubles the fun of the level. Lovely visuals and inventive two player puzzles makes this a must-play.OH NO!!! THE PRINCESS!!! World 1: Grass LandCaptainCowboyHat/CaptainCowboyHat
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_6-4.jpgThe evil Dinosaur King has kidnapped the Princess, and it is up to Sackboy to rescue her. Make your way across spiked blocks and other obstacles under the watchful gaze of the princess's wacky father, the king.

A classic platforming experience awaits you in this fun and funny level from CaptainCowboyHat. In the tradition of Mario games but in a totally unique and understated way. Soft lovely colors and simple block styled materials that are immaculately arranged in a clean design are a nice visual layer to the already rock solid platforming throughout this level. Elegant simplicity never goes out of style so this level should be re-playable for a long time.
No War and Peace style story. No impressive doors that open on multiple layers that look good but achieve nothing. Just pure platforming fun at its absolute best. Jump over some stuff, grab onto some other stuff and enjoy the whole thing beginning to end!
Days before the spotlight was due out, we received a little 2D platformer from CaptainCowboyHat, and immediately fell in love with it. I don't want to compare this level to any game, because it is in its whole own league of rare LBP levels. Turning a 2.5D platformer into a 2D one may seem like a step backwards, but wait until you play it before you judge.

Wow. I'm absolutely stunned! I honestly can say that with some of the amazing talent of many of the creators this time around, I was wondering whether my work would stand up.

In the past few weeks I've been amazed by the works of MrsSpookyBuz (who, as usual, blew my mind), Morgana25 (who produced her best work yet), jump_button (whom I had to go back and play his other levels), Comphermc (who brought back GREAT Portal memories), amblaze (my son and I are a big fan of playing his levels together - great to see him here), NinjaMicWZ (who is secretly an evil genious who creates scary good levels), Takelow (who was LONG overdue for another eye-popping experience), Jackofcourse (who I'm seriously thinking of selling my firstborn for a bit of his talent), Yarbone (who's innovative level kept me busy for about 3 straight hours), Coyote_blue (who's Ninja move stylings are some of the most entertaining to watch I've ever seen!), Miglioshin (who created 2 of my favorite levels.... and totally surprised me with another completely original style), and fullofwin (who created a gorgeous level presentation of a great poem).

To the rest of the creators.... I'm gonna sit up and play the rest of your levels tonight. Is it just me, or does this content keep getting better and better?

Awesome job to Coxy, Morgana, Matt, and Grant for releasing another quality spotlight. You Rock!

I've played all but a couple of these, and they were all top shelf material, that make me feel I'm in good company. Thanks, and thanks for the last one too. Even if I can never get 5 stars and page 1, I will always enjoy getting recognition from my peers in community that I think houses at least half of all the best creators on LBP.

...and, yes, Ccub... the content is better and better everytime. The regulars keep pushing their own envelope, and every new star comes out of left field and ups the ante again every time improving on the groundwork of quality that's already been laid. The last few spotlights make all the old one's look bunk and I think it's great to see how LBP's community is not only still thriving, but progressing at an incredible rate.

I have played many of these as well, and if the others are half as good as what I've already played, they will be fantastic. I can't wait!

Congratulations to everyone on the list. And thank you for your hard work. It's a treat to play levels created with such style and polish.

And, as always, thanks to the Spotlight Crew for your diligent efforts. You folks make a a great team and are a major part of what makes this site so wonderful. Seriously... you guys (ahem - and gal) rock.

WOW...I'm truly honored. I've played most of the levels on this spotlight list and I really enjoyed playing them. To be among them is an honor. I've played these levels with wide eyes of admiration and with smirks of glee. Truly inspiring levels--that really showcase the talented creators LBP has (and sadly are underappreciated IMO).The ones I've missed I'll definetly check out.

Thanks to Morgana and Matt for the colorful summary of my level. And thanks to CC and his son for enjoying my levels (i do enjoy making "rated E" levels). Thanks to all that have said nice things about my work and to the great peeps at LBPC!

Did i just give an acceptance speech?

Yay! Thank you for spot lighting Jungle Tribe Village. First SteamVille Gets spot-lighted in episode 15, now Jungle Tribe Village gets it's chance to shine!

I will be sure to play all these other levels tomorrow!

I have sadly been too busy to play much LBP for the past week or so meaning, I have only played a couple of these so far. As soon as I get a chance I am definitely going to be checking these out though!

- Thanks for all the work putting together some of the best the community has to offer with these spotlights.

WoooooooW. I already played some of those levels (like NinjaMicWZ, CCubbage, Morgana25, antman, jump_button; just to name the latest I've played).
I can't wait to finally grab my pad and launch my sackboy into the ones I missed, thanks to the spotlight crew, and thanks to all the lbpc creators for sharing their outsanding levels!

Great levels, all of them! I was specially surprissed because the "Oh no! The princess!" level, wich had been posted here just a few days ago, made it to the spotlight too!
By the way, unless somebody tells him, I don't think that the creator of "A royal love letter" will be passing by, as far as I know, he's not very acive on the forums.
The only sad that makes me sad about this spotlight, is that I've already played most of them :/

Just let me say it again: Great levels!

Thank you!!! This recognition is seriously WAY better than winning a crown! This site is such a great resource/community. I had no idea there were so many excellent LBP creators before coming here...wish I'd done so a lot sooner. Thanks everyone that played my level and left comments to help make it better!2009-07-12 14:05:00

What a wonderful surprise! To have three levels spotlighted in a row is a great honour, and I'm humbly grateful. Considering the 'traumas' I went through with Project GENESIS, it makes its appearance here all the more important to me. Thank you.

The reason I am so pleased is simple: this particular spotlight is probably my own personal favourite: Starship Troopers by CuzFeeshe was an absolute blast, Morgana25's Chroma part 4 was a mesmerising level of charm and elegance, miglioshin is becoming one of my favourite creators, Lone Ninja 4 by coyote_blue gives a fun, refreshing slant on the ninja genre, Free at Last by NinjaMcWz gave me over 30 minutes of enjoyment, Deftmute is just skilful, full stop!

I will look forward to playing the rest of the levels on the list, and I know that they'll be just as good.

Thanks as always to the Spotlight Crew - your hard work is appreciated. Apart from everything else, your dedication brings back faith in the LBP Community. You have my utmost respect.

the bar is raised high here.

Great list everyone! I've played almost all of these levels, and I'm fairly confident when I say that this is probably the best collection of levels I've seen yet. Lost Ages is the hidden gem of this spotlight. If you fancy yourself a platformer, GO PLAY THIS LEVEL! It doesn't have very many plays, but it's ripe with LBP goodness. The second in the series is probably my most anticipated future release!

That being said, thank you Spotlight Team for featuring my Aperture Science level and for the very kind words. It's truly an honor to be featured with these other great levels/creators. We all appreciate the hard work that goes into making these spotlights! Thanks again!

Congratulations to all...of what I consider to be...the True Creators of LBP! These awesome Spotlighted Levels are just another indicator that our Little corner of the World seems to be getting Bigger and Better every week.

Some of these Levels I've already played, and I found them masterfully created inspirations that continue to keep the creator flame lit in me! Your abilities are Absolutely Amazing!

And to a Spotlight Crew, who's efforts are tireless, Thank You for all that you do for this community. It is Sincerely Appreciated!

Wow. Just wow. I'm very pleased to be in the lineup again. Thanks to everyone here for giving me so much inspiration, whether it be switches I stole from you, levels of yours I played that made me curse my artwork, or lack of mechanical polish, and so on.

This community is an important part of my LBP experience, because it's such an awesome blend of proficient builders...who, at the same time, enjoy all different kinds of gameplay and level design. Keep helping me build and correct my sloppier bits, and I really hope I keep helping you have fun.

Post a level thread here, and the Spotlight Team will scour the forums, looking for good levels.

The spotlight team is, I think, Morgana25, Coxy, GrantosUK and Matt 82.

If you make an awesome level and respond well to feedback, I'm sure they may pick you- or yeah. Those four just scour the level showcase, looking for good levels.

Anyway, I haven't played many of these <_>. I've been too addicted to cophermac's Brain ppping challenge to play any other levels outside of beta testing level 1 of LBPC the game lol.

But yeah. Great job, all you folks! Maybe I will join you someday...

yeah right... >_<

Yup - you got it right RockSauron. It's Matt82, Coxy224, GrantosUK & me. We play as many of the levels posted in the level showcase as we humanly can in a two week period and if they have the qualities we're looking for we spotlight them. Simple as that.2009-07-15 17:40:00

One great way to get your level some additional help is to take part in F4F (feedback-for-feedback). Helping other creators improve their levels and requesting they give you feedback will help your showcase thread get attention. There are so many levels on the showcase that it's difficult for the spotlight crew to get to every single one of them (although they try) so getting feedback helps them determine the great levels.

Also, when creating your thread in the showcase:

Create a nice title for the thread (your level name is preferred)
Select to use F4F
Create a nice description of your level, and including pictures helps

I'm also open to bribes.

Actually looking at the spotlight itself, I`m sure I wrote a lot more about amblaze`s level. Must`ve written it and not saved.

I'm pretty sure something was going wrong because I kept on writing something, saving and coming back later to find it wasn't there.
Which is why I missed out commenting on lots of the levels - big sorry to you guys.
