What do people think when they see the LBPC logo...

Archive: 19 posts

... in different levels???

It's quite common that creators from LBPC wined up on the cool pages and sometimes they put the LBPC logo in their levels or as their level icons (even if for a short time).
Even I got a few LBPC stickers in my level.

But my question is:"What do people think when they see that logo?". It's not like they know it's a community.
Maybe they just google it

I personally love seeing the logo in a level, because it shows that the creator beleives LBPC is good for other people.
I suppose people must then go and google it, and then they find this lovely place we have here

Oh the pride ^^*

I think some of them google it, shrug, and get on with their gaming. Then you have people and good creators who google it, think it's awesome, and register. That's why I put it in my levels, gets good people joining a good community.

I first saw the LBPC web address in the description of the level "Razhotep's Tomb" by Aer0blue. I came here, but was confused on where to find levels (this was like back in January). I took a short break from LBP, but when I picked it up again I found this site again, and decided to join. I appreciate what this site does, so now I feature the LBPC logo in each level I release, as well as put the address in my level description.

Also, if I find someone who has some serious talent/potential at creating levels, or they ask me about how I create mine, I refer them to this site, and tell them to find me here. Hence, I have like 9 referrals .

(P.S. - I've only been here for about 6 weeks)

Me too... It was one of the best internet finds I've ever made.

The first place I saw it was "Razhotep's Tomb" by Aer0blue too. It didn't immediately register to me that it was a web site but I googled it. The rest is history!2009-07-12 05:40:00

Some may think it's annoying... but... well, anyway, seeing as how this has become a thread about how people found this site... <_>

I was on Gamefaqs, some guy posted a link to his LBP site. I registered. that was not LBPC, it was a site that still exists... but NO ONE is there, so he just keeps on doing all this hard work hoping someone will actually register... Makes me feel bad for him, almost :/.

Anyway, then I realized no one was at that site, so I registered at LBPC later that day because I figured I should be at a bigger LBP site... strange because I wasn't THAT hyped up for LBP, it's... If that guy hadn't posted a link to his site way back when, I WOULDN'T HAVE REGISTERED AT ALL PROBABLY! O_o... Strange how things work out <_>

... waitwut?

Anyway, Some people may think it's annoying... I guess :/

when I first started seeing the LBPC sticker appear in various levels, I had it in my head that the site was frequented by obnoxious elitists. thinking back, I have no idea where that idea came from and can only imagine it must've been someone ine the workshop bad mouthing the place.

when Ccubbage recommended the site in my comments section, he seemed like a nice enough fellow so I gave it a go and haven't bothered with another LBP site since.

I remember having seen it a few times on some great levels. Didn't really think much more about it till I happened into a post on LPW with a link to here and found that friendly logo again.2009-07-12 17:26:00

I havn't put the logo in any of my published levels so far but I'm working on a trilogy at the moment that has plenty of secret areas that will feature the logo all over. I think its a nice way to give a little shout out to the community, that to me anyway, makes me want to continue making levels.2009-07-12 17:37:00

When I first saw it month ago I think I thought something like "Why would you do that? Stupid ads."

I probably wouldn't put it in any of my levels, eventhough I like this community, because I visit many more communities.
