Why do some people hate H4H? I don't do them, but people who played my levels, will say H4H. I will heart any1 as a author and their levels as long as they really heart me or any of my levels. I can only see 1 reason why, some people hate H4H. #1.when some1 says H4H, that person really didn't heart you. To me I think H4H is respect. I don't mind H4H. oo another reason just popped in my head. people with H4H levels really didn't put any effort in making them.

most people don't like H4H for several reasons. For starters, you mentioned the poor quality of levels. If i'm going to play a level, i don't want to see something that someone slapped together in a minute then put "H4H" on it, i want to play something substantial, something that is genuinely a tribute to LBPs amazing creation engine. While i don't often come across those levels, i do typically find things that show someone was willing to put themself out there and bare their heart to the world, and i respect that. No one wants to play a bad level, H4H tends to promote that. Second, H4H screws up the ratings system. There is only so much time to get your level cemented on cool pages, and though the system is somewhat flawed as it is, H4H makes it even worse. If 3k people H4H the same level, its pretty much stuck on the pages for a while, taking up a spot that someone else may have rightfully deserved. Again, it promotes bad levels, and frankly, we could always use more on the cool pages. Third, most people feel that one should EARN their hearts. The process of actually earning the trophy is a feat in itself, but knowing that many other people respect your work is incredible. (or rather, would be, i don't have the create trophy yet). Hearts aren't really much in themselves, they act almost like a bookmark in a web browser, but unless they are really earned, whats the point in them? Is one really loved if all they did is heart people so they'd be hearted back? Not in my opinion. H4Hing comes off as somewhat shallow as a result. These are (obviously) my opinions, and its quite possible there are more out there. Hope this enlightened you.

I think there's already enough topics on HRH here. You don't have to "hate" it. You can love it or simply don't mind it. Here we don't like it because its wasted space on the cool pages to expose great creation work by anybody with talent. Also, this phenomenon primarily exist because of the stupipd trophy design of the game. Hearts doesn't make you or your level better. Well, it's supposed to be a REAL mark of appreciation because you did good stuff. It's like "favorites", it's supposed to be good and pleasing experiences. It's not money, it's not supposed to be "exchanged" and meaningless hearts are well... meaningless. Now here what we politely ask you to do is "F4F", feedback for feedback. An healthy way for creators to play other's worthy levels, leave feedback and we all improve together and play quality content. Also, your thread is a clever way to announce yourself as a H4Her and we saw through you. .

To me I think H4H is respect. All is said!!! Respect to what? H4H is a problem because it completely corrupt the rating system of LBP. Personaly, i think that creators must respect the players (making for them good levels) and players must respect the creators (rating their level accurately)... And H4H is at the opposite of this concept: the vast majority of H4H levels are ugly and empty of creativity BUT with H4H system this kind of level could be rated better than true levels with hours of work. For me, it is unfair, not respect...

So you Do do them. You just don't ask other people for them... O_o Hearts should be earned. Asking for them is nothing short of cheating.
