I am really happy with this level and I hope you will be too!
All critiques welcome, please tell me what you think I can do to improve it. This level is the first time basically since the game came out that one of my levels has featured Count Snickerdoodle, Little Big Planet's most notorious/feared/only crime lord! (If you would like to visit the evil count's evil lair, do feel free to visit https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=10845)

More screenshots coming soon!

So just got through playing it and this what I think about:

Its a nicely designed level and the boss at the end was detailed good. But it was short hope the sequel will be longer. I gave it 4 stars and tagged it as beutiful. There was really only one other then it being short that is when you go underground its kinda hard to see maybe you could make it a little brighter. Other than that it was a good level.

Oh can you give me feedback on my level Little Big Ninja Warrior.

Alright, it is now a bit brighter and has prizes!

Also yes, there will be a sequel and it will be longer, bigger, crazier, in fact it may even be... dare I say it... RADICAL

Played this yesterday.

I was very impressed by the visuals at the beginning - the apartment complex was gorgeous! It was fun to just run around finding hidden points and ignore the phone

The transition from the grassy hills into the dark sewer was a huge, delightful surprise. VERY well done, totally unexpected! And the sewer (or whatever it was) looked great. My only complaint? It was REALLY dark down there - maybe it was just my TV, or something, but I could hardly see some of the stuff I was doing and it led to more than a few frustrating deaths.

The level was a little short, but better too short than too long.

Definitely earned a heart from me!

Seems no matter how much brighter I make the sewers, no one can see what's going on in there! D:
Well I brightened everything up again, hopefully the level is playable now

I gave it a go and obviously you know by now it was a short level.

I thought the apartment was really well done, the amount of detail you stuck into a ... cant have been more than 2 sackboys**2 (squared) worth of space.

Heading outside i also thought the that the craft was good, i espicially thought the rope effect you used on the lady was good.

i didnt have any problem with the sewers lighting so you last improvement must have worked.

I found the boss quite hard but not a bad thing. i did have to restart the level twice through loss of lives.
Also the first time i played the boss i missed the checkpoint and then the rock fell down and i was stuck outside.
Although that was just because i didnt see it and was stupid enough not to get it.

Apart from that you've got a very well polished, little, level.

:star::star::star::star::star: for what there is.

Oh and i enjoyed the Count SD's humour "seriously? I've been in 3 LBP levels, you havent heard of me?"
Very funny ^^

You could give my new level The Artists World ago if your still doing F4F:

Played through this the other night and it made me laugh. Snickerdoodle is hilarious. The apartment was ok but the scale of it made if feel really cramped and hard to move around in (especially the bathroom) as I kept switching planes inadvertently. It's cute though. Best part was how you have the abduction set up so he grabs her, goes off screen, then pops back just a little bit. Very nicely done there.

The drop into his lair is sudden and not explained and confused me a bit. Once I was down there I liked the lighting you had but then again I have a HD TV and darkness usually isn't an issue for me.

The absolute best part of this level for me was your boss. I love the design and attack pattern. He's funky and fun and looks great. Nice material usage and the fire was a nice touch. Only complaint is the brain in his mouth and that the planes shift a lot when you're trying to get at the brains. I really would love to see this boss as a series of mini boss type encounters in a level leading off to a really big and bad boss fight.

The thing that sort of killed the momentum for me though is the length. You just get ramped up taking out the robot and it's over. Did you have thermo issues or was it a choice of breaking off the story there?

Overall I really liked it and I gave it 4 stars. Thanks for sharing it!

The apartment was a personal choice. I kinda think I made the wrong choice, but I made it too small to play in properly on purpose. (Wow when I say it like that it sounds downright dumb...) Gameplay aside, though, look at how tall sackboy is. This is the size an apartment for someone that small would be. But yeah, from now on I'm making houses a little too big like everyone else.
As for the cut off? Thermo problems. DEFINITELY thermo problems. I HATE ending the level there. The sequel is about half way done, though, so yay for that.
Also there was some dialog about dropping into the sewer section, but it kept getting censored no matter how many times I reworded it, so I cut it out. I will probably try to add that back in at some point...
Might not play levels for a while, although last time I said that about my F4F, I proceeded to post all my feedback within about 20 minutes, so we'll see what happens.

No worries about F4F. Technically I don't have mine set up for it but I play almost every level in the showcase anyway. 2009-07-23 02:56:00
