This is the pits, there was one last thing that I loved about YouTube, everyone got to go crazy in teh comments with no moderation. Now this is censoring of stuff, including LMAO, or LMFAO. Help!

I'd be careful posting videos like that, i got a warning last time I agree that they should censor swear words since a lot of kids use Youtube, but i think censoring 'lmfao' is a bit over the top. I'd imagine most abbreviations would be pretty safe with children

You can turn it off, look at 'text comments' under the video. Next to that is 'options'. You can turn it off there.

They should've done this a long time ago but I do agree that abbreviations shouldn't be blocked. That's a little extreme.

I've found that on 90% of innocent searches, there's innapropriate content on the first 3 pages somewhere...

I've found that on 90% of innocent searches, there's innapropriate content on the first 3 pages somewhere... 65% of all statistics are made up on the spot. Word. And yeah, it's about time YouTubers at least have the option to censor comments.

Or something else happened. yes, you squashed YouTube HQ. And now they are all dead. And when you crushed the HQ you accidentally also fell on the big red 'censor off' button, and now censers are off. ^^ trufax.

Censorship is bad. It's lying to ourselve and taking the easy route instead of tackling real solutions. If there's a funny video, I have be able to write LMAO. It's ridiculous if it goes this far. Also, a way to censor that would be more intelligent would be to count offenses from your Youtube account and than ban it. If you comeback and do too much, permaban. And for this they would only need a flag in their database + ONE GUY monitoring the software. This can't be too costly. .
