Finally cracked it!!!!

The Victorian Street scene was re-rendered using more muted colours and with a fade-off to mimic the old victorian smog.

The addition of the picture frame gave me your sackdude a purpose in his pose and i think it belnds nicely.

The framed picture can be changed to whatever you want in it - like another level photo for instance so you can keep it fresh but retain the overall look.

After playing with the saturation of colour in the foreground, I managed to get a good depth and mood.

Then the victorian corner pieces finished it off quite nicely.

Hope you like it, but if you want any changes, (or a different theme) please let me know.

Good to see I'm on the right track!

After looking at your guide, I decided to do a complete re-render to bring more depth and colour without getting that strange pixellation effect you get when you increase saturation... plus take the "street" more into the background before the fade-away.

I have also spent quite a bit of time "highlighting" Sir Sackboy - deepening the shadows and just putting a faint highlight on his hat.. which I think works well with the overall scene.

Is this more like it?

The first one has just teh background reduced by 50px. The one underneath has got a smaller canvass size. I think I prefer the top one.. do you?

scorching color scheme like reds and yellows

Hello I know there is a massive queue but when you have a chance I would be very grateful for a:

The theme of my request should be: Shropshire or something similar (i.e. rural landscape, crumbling Welsh border castles etc). I have uploaded some photos of Clun (in Shropshire) into my album but they?re amateurish and even with a lot of work may be no good so I leave it to the artist to find their own image/theme. Just wanted to say that now i'm also a member of the sig exchange crew, the older guys may already know my work and if you don't then just take a look in my artwork thread (link in my sig) =).

My specialties are hand drawn and animated sigs so if anyone wants that then it's me they should ask for! =)

I just wanted to say I think there would be a lot of support from the rest of the community for a new rule that you have to be at least a Fuzzball to qualify for a sig.

You guys put a lot of effort into making the sigs and it must be soul destroying to see them used for little or no time at all. I?d be quite happy to wait for mine until I am a Fuzzball (heigh ho - no more feckless posting in Forum Games for me for a while!).

Yeah, I have three different versions on my computer. One doesn't have the glow, one doesn't have the text, then there's that one. I uploaded all three to photobucket before realizing it was missing something, and with photobucket it's best to just rename a file than to try to upload an updated one.		2009-09-12 22:17:00

As for the female figure. That was just a suggestion in case you needed something to give the sig focus. I am not at all bothered if there is no figure, especially if that makes life easier.

WOW! Just beautiful. I am actually speechless, I like it so much. It is just everything I wanted and more.

I know what Icey means about the image of Eowyn from the back in the white dress. It is very striking but you?re right it wouldn?t have fitted so well with the rest of the sig. I just love the misty landscape in the background and the splash of colour from the red of her gown is just a perfect touch in that context. I also really like the Celtic motif along the bottom. Again wow!

Right I shall have to go and do loads of posting just to show it off to everyone.

Seeing as you have the ultimate bundle, you can use the 125x125 size... so I just messed around with the content in the signature until I came up with a reasonable piece of art on it's own, but still in keeping with the style you already have.

Very tricky crunching everything down in size - the poor sackboy (or sackgirl!) had to go

I said to mrv I would like the cat and my name in my avatar to match my sig, so you must be able to read my mind, as Icey said, you are psychadelic!
Also having the mustang and trees in it too are an added bonus, it's just like my sig but in miniature.

I love the thin border just inside the edge, coloured where the pic is black and vice versa (I'm sure you have a posh name for it!).

Tbh I would skip the whole Sauron thing. Go with something fresh that has better potential. Not that your sig isn't good, it's just...not as good as I think you could do with a different focal.

Sorry, just had to say it. The Sauron thing is a bit tired and I figured even you would be tired of it by now.

I don't think I'll take this one, but let me add that Horror/dark/evil sigs don't have to have someone evil in them, or skulls, etc. Take the one I gave Code, for example:

I like your sig and after looking through all your posts, you're obviously a seasoned artist. I guess the whole ambiguous "evil" theme could be done, as long as it is understood that it will be ... ambiguous.. and not user specific. i.e. it could have been ripped straight from google with a name slapped on it.

Not sure how to proceed with this. I guess I'll just go back to my dark hole for a bit.

You requested Yarbone. Yarbone is somewhat inactive at the moment, so that's one reason. Another reason is because you requested a drawing. Yet another reason is because we tend to work on requests from more active members before less active members. If you're going to request a specific person and request a drawing, you're just going to have to be patient.
