Getting xbox 360 need some game suggestions

Archive: 23 posts

Getting a Xbox 360 in a few days and need a good list of games I should play. So far my list is:

1. Halo 3
2. Gears of war
3. Gears of war 2
4. Mass Effect
5. Left 4 Dead
6. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

I think thats a good start plus I can play all my old xbox original games too, but just want to know if there is anything really good out there that I missed.

I'm getting a refurbished one so I hope it works, got the extended warranty with it so that if it goes I can at least get my money back. It says its the 20gb premium (pro) but I hope its one of the ones that was produced after 2007 so it has the HDMI connection on it. The site doesn't say it does but I'm hoping for a mistake and getting one(fingers crossed).

I put this in one of the social groups but I guess not as many people check them.

Fable 2 was so much better than one to be honest. the DLC is very great for it. especially See into the Future DLC cause you get an awesome Colleseum that is very fun for Co-Op.

The Game has a decent length lots of optional quests. After beating the game there is still plenty of Hobbes, Bandits, Balverines to kill unlike Fable 1 after the main storyline all the enemies just vanish. Yes there is a lot of enemies to kill even when you just run around the world you will find plenty.

Its worth the original price of 60$ to me. But hey now its down to 30$!

But really Rainbow Six vegas 2 is a great game too lol.

I played Gears when it first launched and thought it was OK. Then I played Gears 2 a few weeks ago and got VERY bored. I don't really see what the whole thing is with it to be honest.

You'll be able to get Mass Effect cheap now, that's excellent.

Gears 1 > Gears 2

@ shermzor: L4D = L4D2, most people would rather have more DLC

Well Valve is currently screwing over L4D peeps; the DLC is being announced (yes, announced) this summer when L4D2 is out in November -.-

Not happy with valve at all.

Also if you have a PC fit for the job then you should get it on PC if at all; we have the SDK and can mod it until its better than L4D2.

I have the most fun with these 360 games:

- GTA IV
- The Lost and the ****ed (a 360 exclusive GTA IV addon, but can easily be called it's own game - very fun)
- Halo 3
- Call of Duty 4
- The Orange Box

How, exactly?

Lol, only 2 of them are 360 exclusive, with one being more of what the PS3 already has xD

Hey CC, did you delete me of your friends list btw? i added ConfusedCartman, and then you deleted me... :'( At least, i assume it was you... but yeah...

And if you like football (english football) get Fifa 10 in October. But for now i would recommend Skate 2, BFBC, Forza 3 (if you like a bit of racing), PGR4 (again, racing), Halo 3 and if you have xbl, i suggest BF:1943 - it's amazing how much fun it is...

woah CC... Did you just bypass your own censor? D:

... I've been thinking of getting one for my birthday... but I mostly am fighting against the urge to needlessly have another console <_>

And omega... The sooner you realize all companies are equally evil (well, except for Hasbro... (http://www.theonion.com/content/news/jilted_hasbro_ceo_laughs_coldly_as?utm_source=a-section)), the better

The Lost and the ****ed is a 10 hour game - it can easily stand on it's own. It just happens to reside in the same world as GTA IV. Anyway, what's with all the 360 hate? I don't understand why you have to defend one console over another. I buy my games for the 360 because I like talking with my friends in a Party Chat while I play. Until my friends own a PS3 (and they won't until the price drops), use it as their main console, and the PS3 supports cross-game multi-participant chat, I'll continue to buy my games on the 360. It's a matter of preference.

It was me, but I removed everyone off of my friend's list except for people I played with regularly. I only have 5 or 6 "friends" now.

No, XBox is fine... It's WINDOWS that sucks!!! SWITCH TO UBUNTU (http://www.ubuntu.com/) BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!!

On Topic: I don't have an XBox, but they sound pretty fun. PS3's good enough.
I heard Assassin's Creed is pretty good.

And whatever you do, DON'T get the Orange Box for the PS3, It's worst on the PS3 (NEVER UPDATES!!! D: ), better on the XBox, best on the computer.

Oh, I hope you didn't think I was bashing the 360. I have no problem with it at all, and if I had the money (and time) to buy and play a 360 I probably would. I still want to give Fable 2 a bash as that was my fave game on Xbox. I only prefer Playstation because as a whole, for me, the console just seems more... complete. And worth my money. And reliable. I still think the 360 is good though. Throughout my first 2 years of uni thats all i played as all my uni mates have 360's (while fortunately all my mates at home have PS3's )

yeah I heard about the the Orange Box being better on the 360 which is why I'm going to be getting it on that. Other than that my reason for getting one is so that I can play the exclusives that are on it like Halo and Gears, otherwise I'm going to buy them for my PS3 being my main system...Still not sure if I want to spend the money on Xbox live.

Stupid Ecost not shipping it yet at this rate I wont get it till next week.

@Rock - The xbox is great fun, especially with friends etc. *personally* i prefer Xbox live, and if there are a few people on here with it, we should totally play sometime 2009-07-08 22:47:00

I absolutely don't like they way they do business.
I think that they had screw their customers since the beginning of time, they screw them now and will screw them in the future.
Their products are always bugged and flawed and they cost much more than they are worth of.
Just to stay silent about bribes (and I don't mean funding devs), but real bribes to politicians and such.
And just to not mention Antitrust infractions (in UE, they are getting used to pay for their infractions)

Now, for me Ethic is more important than gaming, so even if I would love to play Gears or Mass Effect, I won't ever buy a 360 or whatever they'll come up with.

So, even if every company is evil, I prefer to not fund MS in anyway.
Even Sony is bad, but at least they are environmental friendly, they build reliable stuff, they built machinery for hospitals and they invite people to help the study of DNA.
