THE DEATH RAMP!!! hehe

Archive: 17 posts

Ok..ay so I would put the start marker to the level behind the Death Ramp and on the ground not at the top of the ramp.

You would start then run over to a outside lift( like a ski lift ) there would be 4 ski lifts on a circular wire which goes all the way to the top of the ramp a ski lift would be activated as soon as you step into it via a pressure pad on the floor of the ski lift this would then go upwards and thus bring another lift downwards ( if a sackboy or girl missed a lift ).

Once all at the top TWO MONSTER TRUCKS will be waiting for you the monster truck will hopefully have a pre made engine in it activated by pressure of 2 people at the same time if theres only one person a block will be nearby for you to put on the other pressure pad (by the way the monster trucks will be alligned to deep 1 and deep 2/ deep 3 will have four blocks to use on the pressure pad when you step onto the pressure pad in the monster truck a roof will activate and close so you cant get out).

When the roof closes it will signal for the engine to be started ( im sure there will be a way ) then the engine starts and your monster truck zooms down from the highest height possible down to the lowest at the lowest point possible the track will flick up and the monster truck will go flying across the level and into a points box ( if somehow i can make the speed and flight of the truck determined by skill not the same flight every time then i will align diffrent point boxes the further you go the more points you will get ).

Once you stop into a point box the roof will open up and you can step out and collect the points you then jump out and run to the end of the level a few obstacles here maybe but you will get no points after the point boxes. You can not jump into another point box as they cannot be climbed.
Also the ramp you go down in the monster truck will be set on fire so that people cant use the blocks i mentioned earlier to climb into a point box.

EDIT: This will be linked to a high score table so that the more points you get the higher up you will be if people have the same points their time will also be recorded so that whoever gets to the finish fastest and has the max possible points will be Number .1

You should use the orby things as the points

make a box which is higher than anyone would expect, and let that have like 2x the amount of the other points, so you'll hold the record

Sounds really cool, I'd love to see it in action.

By the way, I don't mean to be picky, but try to use sentence structure next time. It was a bit difficult to grasp.

No, it's perfectly alright. I love the idea! Make sure to let us all know when you make it in LittleBigPlanet.

(by the way, I'm only 16, so don't worry )

Wow, this sounds cool. Reminds me of an idea I thought up today...which I won't reveal of course. d: But cool! Hope it's actually possible to make. xD2008-09-05 22:43:00

What you should do is attach a piston to the end of the ramp so the bottom part that curves up would move in different directions. Here, I will draw a picture real quick.

Just a rough sketch, but it gets the point across. The piston would constantly move up and down so depending on when you hit it you will fly off at a different angle.

You could alo put jet boosters on the back of the monster truck to give it even more speed.

Was that done in AutoCad?

Haha, no, MSPaint.

Man I miss AutoCad though. I haven't used it since my high school drafting class.

Believe me, when you are using AutoCad for day to day work, you really see the flaws in it. I wish I didn't have to use it!

Still, nice idea for a level, I like the piston ramp too. Adds some more skill/luck with timing into it.
