That was good, maybe I might buy the sticker pack now | 2009-07-07 12:14:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
Cute!! A bit odd they release this video so late though Perhaps it's not selling as well as they had hoped. | 2009-07-07 12:16:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
Who actually bought the pack though? | 2009-07-07 12:18:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
Perhaps it's not selling as well as they had hoped. Ya, people don't really use stickers, only some of the vital ones... (color, realistic...) | 2009-07-07 12:23:00 Author: oldage Posts: 2824 |
I don't think this one is selling too well. Mm have been promoting it a lot on their twitter and now this. Edit: Hmm, you guys think that music will be in some future DLC? | 2009-07-07 12:23:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
Yeh that would be good | 2009-07-07 12:58:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
MM should list more carefully to the user base. Actually how many people wanted stickers? Give us music, backgrounds, that we are asking for a loooooong time. 11 backgrounds (neutral one included and if you buy all the DLCs) are really few. Anyway I bought it for ? 1,99 and I must say that it's far better than I thought and there's something that can be put to good use. Last of all, I buy DLCs, even if I don't like them (but this one is the first case), because I want to support MM's work. More money=more assets=more people working at MM=maybe better games. | 2009-07-07 13:04:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
Mmm , what I find most interesting about that is it looks like MM have used the sticker cutout tool in there though so why can't they let us have it. It would take us ages to make something even as simple as that because we'd have to use the corner edit tool for all that. Even then it probably wouldn't let us because when it starts getting too complex it stops you using it. | 2009-07-07 13:09:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |
Mm probably like stickers as DLC because they're quick and easy to make, you can't blame them lol | 2009-07-07 13:12:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |

Also, is that camera flash effect possible to recreate in LBP? | 2009-07-07 13:20:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Also, is that camera flash effect possible to recreate in LBP? I reckon someone that is good with GLT's, can recreate it. | 2009-07-07 13:24:00 Author: oldage Posts: 2824 |
With regards to the sticker cutout tool, it's probably in QA. Remember how long the GLT took from it being in the MGS pack to arriving in the create pack. | 2009-07-07 14:07:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Well, I see this video being a direct result of sales... that's my assumption... as far as the sticker pack goes... I buy everything, even though I gripe... the best that can be said for it is there are some unique colors to increase ones palette of choices... The level itself I am pretty unimpressed with. | 2009-07-07 14:27:00 Author: Gravel Posts: 1308 |
awwww, what a cute video :3 i didnt buy it because i didnt think i'd find much use in it. same as most of the other costumes, Mm should make a level pack again, those are AMAZING!! compared to all the noobs and their H4H levels located all over the world, i prefer a Mm level pack | 2009-07-07 16:14:00 Author: Noremac469 Posts: 143 |
I actually bought the sticker pack and I highly advise on getting it. It's actually at a very cheap price for the stickers you get, and although some of em' may have little use, a lot of them are very good for creating cartoony environments. That aside, that trailer was pretty nice. It was short, yet to the point. | 2009-07-07 18:29:00 Author: lk9988 Posts: 1077 |
I don't think this one is selling too well. Mm have been promoting it a lot on their twitter and now this. Edit: Hmm, you guys think that music will be in some future DLC? Yeah and they were promoting it earlier on Facebook. I think this hasn't sold very well. Even though I bought it And lets hope the music will be Mmm , what I find most interesting about that is it looks like MM have used the sticker cutout tool in there Yeah that's the first thing I noticed when I watched the vid too This will be a great tool........ | 2009-07-07 21:56:00 Author: dorien Posts: 2767 |
This guy seems like a great artist but... stickers just aren't that impressive. Let him design an in-game object... or some in-game enemies. There are some smart people over there at MM, they have to know stickers aren't that exciting. They HAVE to know we want a real color palette to work with.... but they probably need money. Unfortunately, I don't know how long stickers will be viable. The clever creators can create their own stickers... I bet someone could create the level showcased in that video WITHOUT the stickers... or something that looks scarily similiar. So, in conclusion. These guys should be designing whole levels and enemies... not just stickers! I'm sure this Jon guy has a warped artistic mind, he could probably create some really strange levels if given the opportunity. O_O | 2009-07-08 01:01:00 Author: Snowspot Posts: 265 |
You guys keep referring to a "Sticker Cutting Tool" used in the video. I would just assume that the creators at Mm cut the shapes out manually. I've done it myself quite accurately many times. Is there something I'm missing? | 2009-07-08 01:23:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
You guys keep referring to a "Sticker Cutting Tool" used in the video. I would just assume that the creators at Mm cut the shapes out manually. I've done it myself quite accurately many times. Is there something I'm missing? Mm mentioned that they've been developing a Sticker Cutout Tool that will allow you to automatically cut out a material to the shape and size of the sticker that's stuck on it. Some members are assuming (and I would assume so as well) that they used that tool to make the various objects and characters in this video. The tool is supposedly still undergoing QA, so it might be a while before we get it in our toolkit. | 2009-07-08 01:38:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
yeah it's a shame that Mm has just told us a LIE in this post by saying how excited they are about the sticker pack when we all know it's not selling well at all. and to be honest NO amount of trailers and hype will make me buy this sticker pack at all. buying it is basically telling them "HEY I LIKE THIS STICKER PACK AND ME PURCHASING IT TELLS YOU GUYS THAT I ENJOY IT AND I WISH TO HAVE MORE STICKER PACKS" lol but yeah I really don't want to send them the message that i would actually want these stickers i mean Jon Burgerman is an awesome designer but like someone said on here he shoulda made something else like DECORATIONS or maybe some bad-a** LEVELS or some sweet objects but yeah hopefully the sticker cutout tool is coming REALLY REALLY soon but i've been wondering. if its supposed to fit with the sticker....how are they going to make it so we can do sackboy cutouts? or are we going to have to do them like we always do? | 2009-07-08 05:26:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
