Wow I can definitely tell you put A LOT of work into this.

The details were just fantastic! Even though its been done again and again using white LSDs as falling snow is still just so cool looking and makes me really feel like I am in the snow.

I like how it wasn't flat and there were different angles and ramps to walk on and such.

The best part was the turning wheels and the bomb puzzle and it was really a great visual puzzle.

But there were things that disappointed me a bit. It was far far too simple and the only challenge was hitting switches or finding them.

The level was also far shorter than I expected and I really was expecting more.

And this isn't a big issue but with the bomb puzzle at the end you might want to give some kind of indication that you have to grab the bomb in order to release it.

Here is my advice. There is nothing bad with making a lot of details in a level, people eat that stuff up but don't go over board so much that the level loses its challenge and length, eye candy isn't everything.

Overall I thought you put in a amazing amount of detail and effort! I gave you a heart and :star::star::star::star::star: Great work!

Also for the F4F you could take a look at my Underground Series:

Great looking level and great use of all 3 planes

It all seems quite solid, nothing broke for me... I too really liked the 'rotation' puzzle with the bomb - that is def something that could be elaborated on.

You have some great visual work going on for telling us where to go next or what to do next

I was surprised when it ended... but mainly because I was enjoying it... maybe adding another part to it, like getting deeper into caves, another visual style or opening up to an underground city or something...? Something with an added challenge? what you have here is a really great start that is not too difficult - but it could progress deeper... and harder!

All in all though, very good. Thumbs up from me

Def worth a play :star::star::star:

thank you for your feed back. i wish i could have made the level longer but the intro actually takes up well over quater of the thermo... but i think that if i reworked the intro it would give me more building space.... the next level in the series will be alot longer. this one was more of a learning proccess for me as it is my first attempt at a gameplay heavy level and i think it shows in the simplicity of the obsticles.

i'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the level, it means it wasn't a waste of time making it. i'll try your levels out later and then get to work on improving this making the next 1.

thanks guys

The introduction was a great way to start it off, it really got me looking forward to actually playing this level. One of your speech bubbles is censored though, after the gravity field speech bubble I believe. The detail on the level was fantastic, and the snow effect looked great over everything. The platforming elements and design of the level were all very well thought out and implemented, it was truly a great level to play and look at. The checkpoints were subtly placed in positions that make the level seamless and smooth. I would have hid the piston on the trolleys, but that is just my opinion that it looks better without it. At the part where you use the switch to open the door and collect point bubbles, I would have used dissolve or a demitting method rather than a brain, because the sound is somewhat sloppy. You can also put the brain on a rod and place it far enough away from the player that they won't hear the sound. The area with the switches and the buttons was very well done and made me chuckle, one thing leading to the next. I thought the whole level was brilliantly constructed and couldn't find anything that was truly wrong with it. I was very sad when it ended, it was a great level and I hope you make a Lost In Space 2. :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart from me, absolutely amazing work.

The level was VERY detailed. I also liked how it seemed like nothing was flat and the angles and such. My favorite part about it was the one section with the ladder thing, and you had to criss-cross between the ladder to get to the switches. I don't know why, I think it's because I never saw anything like it before. The bomb puzzle was also good. And so was the intro.

That said, the level felt too easy and all you had to do was find switches to pull. It also seemed rather short.

But, everything seemed well thought out and polished.

Overall :star::star::star::star:. And I already hearted you because of the Crystal Forest levels.

i've just re-published it in a new spot... i hope i get more plays this time, because i'm not being big headed or saying that i've made to best level ever but some levels that have had thousands and thousands of plays are just plane badly made... sometimes makes me think, what is the pont in me spending hours and hours making a level... i'm starting to loose the will to create and that saddens me 2009-07-08 19:36:00

I know how you feel m8... It is frustrating.

I know a heap of levels out there that are simply amazing that have hardly any plays at all. But but "H4H-LOLZ+free crap" are the ones that steal all the limelight

Don't give up - you have a lot of talent

I came across this level on cool pages, and I loved it. It's not the best level around and it wasn't much of a challenge, but I was in love with the visual style. Some of the platforming is just plain fun, and is all around solid. I would be dense to not mention the awesome space flight and re-entry portion at the beginning. It was probably the best of this sort that I've seen. I was disappointed with how short it was, though (curse you, thermometer). I will have to check out what else you've put out there when I'm on next. I didn't even see this level thread initially - I was going to make a post in the recommendations thread, but I found this first .

I gave this level :star::star::star::star::star: and tagged it satisfying.

The only nit-pick I could make is that there seemed like there was going to be a story, but that kind of petered out after the crash.

This level was delicious to look at. The detail in the level made up for the lack of gameplay I would say. The beginning was very cool inside the spaceship and crashing onto the planet. I would have to agree that there should be more of a story to it, maybe through a couple aliens in there to ramp the difficulty up a bit. Other than that, I can't really complain about this level. I hope there is at least a sequel in the works.

This level was visually stunning. Everything was highly detailed.

The intro was fun to watch. I second everyone's opinion on the bomb part although I ran right to see where the bomb was going and got blown up lol. Great use of all 3 planes and great work on the lighting. I especially liked the part with the green lights. Made me stop to take it all in xD. I felt like the level was short and am hoping for a part 2.

I gave this level :star::star::star::star: and the tag 'beautiful'. Great work!

Hey, don't I know you ? I've already told you how awesome the level is and also congrats on making it to Cool Levels! I love it when good levels make it there (as they should.) The only thing I can really say bad about it is that (when I played it) there were some bolts and switches visible that shouldn't be. Really unimportant though. Great job! I gave it :star::star::star::star: .2009-07-12 07:56:00

Right off the bat, this level is great. I loved every second during the flight/crash. The meteor shower, the stars, entering the atmosphere; oh man, it was so cool. And the fun didn't end there, no sir. We got to explore this great looking planet all while tackling well designed obstacles. I enjoyed everything about the level; the visual appeal, the immersion, the obstacles, and the variety. Needless to say, I had a blast.

I have only 2 problems with the level. After the crash, if you go down into the trees and move left, you can see a block of dark matter. Either move it or make it invisible. My other problem was that a lot of the obstacles were centered around pulling levers. Now that's fine if you want to use them, but maybe in the future you could make them hard to get to/find. Also, the length (or lack of) saddened me.

Overall, I gave you :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart.

If you could leave feedback at Morning Rush, I'd appreciate it.

Played through this one a few times and really enjoyed it. Nice cinematic opener and I loved the transition between space into the atmosphere then the scale of the clouds and trees right before the crash. Nicely done.

Title sequence looked good and I love that when you leave the cave it's like a totally different level. Unexpected and lovely.

Great use of materials and well done with keeping the MM look. It's like a hybrid of the Merkat Kingdom, Mine story levels with the snowy icey theme from the Tundra levels. Really nice combination.

Really enjoyed finding the satellite - made me laugh.

Gameplay isn't hard but it moves nicely and I like how you've sectioned out each area to flow into the next. Cute medium sized scoreboard too - just about the right size.

I gave it 5 stars & hearted it. Thanks for sharing it!
