I am back to give feedback on this level!
Pros:
+Pretty hard making it more fun and challenging
+medium length level, not too short, not too long

(Not much else to say is there? lol)
Cons:
-You say this is almost impossible but it wasn't THAT hard.
-The circle vehicle thing is a little hard to use. Sometimes my sackperson grabs wrong one and I have to speed it up then I die from going to fast.

I gave it :star::star::star::star:

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. I was 9 and 10 is what I consider near impossibles, I just felt 7 seemed right as the sphere can be frustrating. Making the sphere larger brings about a huge lot of other issues, but i'll keep that in mind for the Be The Beat 2.

By the way their seems to be a glitch where if you play online mode, the traps that are electric (featured at the beginning of the trailer) seem to lag up and become invisible...

Hi . I've played your level and here is my feedback

Pros :

Very good design.

Not as hard platforming as I feared.

Very well engineered and fun sections on foot.

Cons :

Oh dear, those spheres are so annoying and had me tearing my hair out.

Lost all but 1 life at the entrance because the bouncing pillars kept crushing me when trying to get up to the bubbles. I won't bother with those again.

Lost several lives just after entrance when trying to jump in the spheres above the electric only to find when I did eventually get in they are STUCK DOWN !!! You could have said so and saved me all that trouble.

Got crushed by the sphere at the end of the first race.

Got crushed when landing on the big bouncing platforms after the electric doors.

Got crushed by the sphere at the start of the second race immediately after starting.

Got crushed by the sphere part way through the race.

Fell out of the sphere twice in the 3rd race and ended up walking to the finish.

Couldn't see what to do to get up to the area just before the finish where there are 2 blocks of dissolve ( 1 at each end ). Is that supposed to be accessible ?

Overall :

What looked like being a great level just turned into total frustration at those blasted spheres.

Again because of the spheres the races are pointless because as soon as you try to go faster ( which let's face it is the idea in a race ) the sphere kills you so you end up having to go as slowly as possible.

It's probably the grabs in the spheres that are responsible for the crushing. Have you thought of making the spheres without those and just glue 2 halves of polystyrene together with a grab switch on each half and have them different colours. Don't know if that would be better but it's worth a try as you could keep the outside diameter the same so you wouldn't have to alter anything else.

I don't quite comprehend what your trying to advise, but I do know the problem does not lye within the sponges, the problem has to do with Little big planet in itself. It appears that the the sackboy becomes translucent and falls through the sphere itself causing to be vulnerable to being squished. It's been a problem since prototype 1 and have thought of ditching the idea completely, but have tried to find a resolve. The resolve was the timing, if you grab on in accordance to the beat you should be able to succeed in the race portions of the level as demonstrated in the tutorial. Though not to say this isn't at fault of my own, I have plenty of testing to do, the vehicle may appear to be simple but MMs design proves it to be a mindeaning task. I'm searching for help to find a solution.2009-07-13 21:31:00
