You start in a training facility - once you have completed some simple tests you will then face the massive MitorATV.

While it's moving... Infiltrate the underside, by finding the emergency over-ride switch you can gain access though
the lower cargo hold... Once inside you will need to use the cargo to gain entry to the upper level...

Then through the engine room hazards... then back outside, onto the roof! override the emergency hatch for the control centre, once inside you will see the central computer... power it down! then unlock the bulk-head doors to gain access to the forward cargo bay... and out in under 180 second... otherwise no ranked score!

This is my first published level - I found it very hard with the technical problems of LBP... a few times this level was scrapped, discarded or just left-for-dead. Somehow managed to get a good working version going though... Its been a learning curve at the very least.

Hope you have the time to give it a go

Thank you to Sackboy223 for creating the fantastic youtube video of this level

Just played and found your huge atv is awesome!!
I liked also the 'time trial' concept.
Good idea!
Just a few suggestions:

- the training area is a bit... bland, see if you can decorate it a bit.

- right after I entered the atv, I had several problems in carrying out a box to be able to jump over the 'room'

- maybe 180 seconds are way too few time to score something, maybe you want to increase the useful time?

Rated :star::star::star::star: and <3.

Thank you for playing... good comments noted, very valid, thanks.

I could easily make some changes here and there, and I think changes are needed, especially the first set of cargo boxes, they are the ones that I stumble on too... I am thinking of making them drag-able... would make life a lot easier.

A question to you, or anyone for that matter... making changes to this level - can you edit the online level or do you have to delete it and then republish a newer version..? would that then lose any scores, hearts etc...? First time I have ever done this before

'll be happy to look over your level when I put the PS3 back on later tonight

Cheers

No, simply copy it on your moon, if you have deleted the previous one.
Enter the level in edit, make the needed changes then save and re-publish over the published version.
Since it is the same level you won't lose anything (score, plays, hearts).

Cool level, but you should fix a couple of things:
-the two-way switch in the training area (the one immediately before the paintinator) is inside the platform, you should put it on it, or cover this fact with a thin layer;
-if you pull the lever of the lift (the one immediately before the time attack begins) and leave R1 as soon as the lever goes down, the sackboy will jump off the lift;
-the sliding door under the ATV: when you're grabbed on the last part of sponge sometimes it starts to open and close repeatedly, probably you need to move the sensor a bit.

Those are minor flaws anyway; you put some cool ideas in this level, i liked how you made the training rooms (they remember me about portal, i don't know why) and the inside of the vehicle; i managed to beat it under 3 minutes on my 3th try (i'm first, i beat you by 500 pts ); the level itself is a tad short, but provides a nice challenge: most players will play it more than a couple times to beat the clock. Speaking of challenges, once you get on the switch on the top of the vehicle, the rest is plain run, try putting small traps or omething in the latter rooms. Overall 5/5 and a heart, i had a lot of fun beating that 3 min timer

Hopefully going to fix some stuff today, thanks for the tip for updating Miglioshin and also to Shadowheaven for your feedback - sometimes the whole lot does start moving around for no apparent reason... I will check the mag switch on the cargo hold too. Its something to do with the fact that I make the ATV travel over boulders, sets the whole thing rocking - bit of a double edged sword really... It was originally my first idea to create a level that travels along and bobs up and down as it goes, creating a random experience each time played. But in reality this did not work to an extent, if the boulders were too big, the doors would stop working or you could not get in as the cargo hold would not drop down... I was not overly interested in making the level without having the movement... I felt that was the whole point of this exercise... a more experience creator would probably set it up a lot differently. I can make some smallish edits to this... but it could really do with a complete overhaul and start over with new found knowledge... read on >>>

I figured something out today. Very much a 'noob' flaw really, after reading quite a few threads on here and seeing a few pics of 'behind the scenes' -- I have really managed to make a huge amount of work for myself... Every single logic switch created for the ATV is held internally and hidden inside the ATV, out of sight and behind panels, even the computers blinking lights... Trying to edit anything is an absolute nightmare - its most probably the reason everything starts moving about and falls apart. The only switch that is outside is the one that starts it up and then shuts it down again.

we live and learn

EDIT: I have made an update and some small changes to this level - also added a few more bits and pieces that I had always wanted. You cannot just run past the ATV now

I'm not quite sure how to change the evelvator for the problem that Shadowman mentions... it has happened to me once before too

Wow, that was a pleasant surprise of a level. I liked the whole concept, you are trained on how to do something, and then thrown right into the action and you have to do it. I liked the simple puzzles and platforming aspects, they were all implemented very well. I couldn't find anything wrong with it, every thing looked good and worked perfectly. The massive moving vehicle is a sight to behold and a feat to have been created in LittleBigPlanet. :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart from me. I have no criticisms for it, I wasn't fast enough to beat it and the timer hit zero as I was opening the final door. I would have liked it to be longer, but I can understand that it would be a lot of work to rework the entire vehicle to be larger and longer and then change the timer as well. Great work, and thanks for playing my level.2009-07-09 17:56:00

Just played this and it was pretty cool. I liked the time trial idea and the time trial being set around taking down a monsterous vehicle. One thing I liked about the training was that it was basic, but wasn't a omplete repsresentation of what we encountered inside the vehicle. They may have been similar, but the obstacles in the vehicle had more depth to them and were more interactive. Then there were the obstacles that training didn't cover, and they were fun too (avoiding gas, dodging electric parts, moving/using boxes to get over terrain).

There's only a few things that I think could use adjusting. First off, you should try sprucing up the training area. The materials you used are fine, but adding some stickers/objects or another material type (add a design on the wall) could make it more lively. Another thing that you could do is make the grabbable material at the bottom of the vehcicle more visible. At first I didn't see it, and only after I stared for a bit, did I finally notice it. Either make it larger (dip down some more) or turn on some lights over there to show it off (or maybe even try using an arrow). Also, if you make a sequel to this, try making the inside of the machine bigger. I was having lots of fun and I hated to see it end so soon.

Overall, it was a really good level and I had a good time. I gave you :star::star::star::star: and a heart.

This is a pretty good level that had good gameplay, but lacked in visuals.

The beggining area of the level is really bare with little to no decoration or stickers. Maybe try to add something here to fix that.

The level broke on me the first two times I went throught the level. It was when I pulled the switch for the elevator I would let go and then I would land in the area in front of the elevator with no way to get down.

Once you get inside the base the scenery and gameplay get much better.

One problem though is that at some points I had no idea where to go, maybe make the camera show where you have to go after you pull a switch.

I also didn't have enough to make it to race gate in time, maybe add a little bit more time to it.

Overall it was a good level. I gave it :star::star::star: and tagged it fast.

Thanks for the feedback...

Hmmm, sprucing up the training area is the way to go by the sounds of things, I'm just not sure what to do with it. I personally like the bareness of it in contrast to the main part of the level when on the ATV. But I do agree it does need something, and to first timers it does not look very appealing or a very good first impression of what the level has to offer. Think I'll go off and experiment with some stickers now...

The lift is a problem that I am not sure how to get around apart from making it a grab switch - which I did not really want... but maybe Ill just have to go with it.

Really wish I had made the ATV bigger with more in it, there is plenty thermo left. Perhaps another level to it, But it was getting pretty difficult to manage towards the end and for some reason it will not 'copy', every time I tried to paste the ATV down everything would brake, and the wheels would crush under its own weight

Nice level, that huge vehicle is very cool indeed.

I have to say though, the timer to get into it is very harsh (You pull the lever, the lift comes down, I start climbing across, the lift goes up way before I get there). Too harsh for me to get in. I tried several times but eventually had to give up. A few more seconds would have been better.

I strongly suggest toning down this as it's too difficult. Otherwise I love the idea. The training area could as mentioned do with a bit more colour as well.

Good work, I gave it :star::star::star:
Easily worth another if less frustrating.

for the elevator, you could use a grab switch on a blocky (and colored) piece of polystyrene/sponge and place it near the ground. that way we won't fall out after using the lever.

or you could put a text mouth before the elevator that tells us not to get out.
