Empire of the Sun

Archive: 5 posts

I came across this Australian duo 'cause my Dad started playing it in his room (he says it's good exercise music...-__-' ). They're impressive to say the least, I'm more of a prog-rock, blues, jazz and metal person but I've started to open up my mind to unique pop groups like these. Their videos are really, really weird, but so are Tool's. Even so, listen to the music, it's rather interesting.

They&re pretty good. They sound quite alot like The Cure I think. Good catchy melocholie pop. Plus you can listen to The Cure and not lose any of your rock credibility.

Just been reading up on these guys. Turns out the vocalist was the vocalist in Sleepy Jackson! Another awesome band.

They are getting a lot of airtime. I'd liken them to MGMT, who're also a good band. Shame they look ridiculous...anywho. We are always running for the thrill of it, thrill of it...2009-07-13 22:05:00
