The Underground Series! Part 3! *Now with pictures! and a video coming shortly...*

Hey gang long time no see. Well I was away for quite some time due to issues with my PS3 and getting loaded with work. Now that I have some free time I decided to finish the sequel to The Underground: Part 2 and make part 3. I fixed up all the problems and glitches with Parts 1 and 2 from the last thread as well.

If you haven't played 1 and 2 of my series let me suggest that you do before you play part 3 because they all fit together. (Not only that but I am planning a surprise twist ending to the series).

I think this level came out great. Its cleaner and has no gaps where you feel like you have fallen out of the illusion of the level. I put some puzzle solving in here and its also much longer with a mini boss fight at the end. I also did a lot of original character creation and other neat little nids and bits.

Sorry if the quality is bad, its my crappy camera. Also I will have a video up shortly (when my friend stops being lazy....).

Info about the levels:

Part 1:

-cave/temple theme
-short with simple platforming
-mine cart ride
-jumping and dodging

Goal: simply reach the end of the level

Part 2:

-temple theme
-platforming with some puzzle solving
-defeat temple guardians
-traps
-fire log run
-swinging
-memorization (for one platforming puzzle)
-mine cart ride

Goal: Collect the Dreamers' missing keys to open the secret chamber into the temple garden

Part 3:

-temple/garden theme
-platforming with plenty more puzzle solving
-switch trigger puzzles
-swinging across fire
-avoiding falling platforms
-lethal color matching puzzle
-spinning platforms
-avoiding gas
-another color puzzle
-mini boss battle on a roof top garden

Goal: Help the gardening goddess find the golden rain water for her rose garden.


Tell me about anything you want me to fix and I'll try my best! (Mind you all these levels have reached overload, even entering them on edit mode causes them to fry, but I'll see what i can do)

Now these levels are not easy, and each one gets harder and harder, Part 3 is no exception... so good luck. Have fun!

Cool level, full of colors and with a nice theme, i expecially liked the roof fight and the gardens. I don't know if it's something you wanted, but when you are supposed to give a rose to the goddess in the garden (the one that is under the stairs) you can grab a sticker from one of the flowers around her; maybe you should make a custom sticker to use in that situation. I really enjoyed the white gas elevator part, really funny to play. About the part when you have to put the 3 colors of the flowers under the white gas "maze", it's pretty easy to ignore the gas by staying as down as possible when getting the sponge; also, i'd remove the LEDs that inform you that you put a color on the right place, just to make it more tricky, even if it's quite easy to remember the colors. Lastly, when you have to get that yellow drop, make it impossible for players to get on the upper floors of the temple, i spent over 15 minutes searching for that thing xD.

About the f4f, i'd like you to check out my "The collector's bunker (Temple of metal V. 2.8) - psn id Shadowheaven; it may be a lot difficult in some parts, and the last part is a bit poor because is taken from the 4 player version

Glad you liked it!

Now the rose. Actually nah that's not a problem the fact that you figured out the rose was a sticker trigger is great. Actually since she dropped the rose it adds even more to the illusion that you physically picked up a rose from the garden. But really its good that you figured it out, a lot of people (just random people online I took into the level to play test multiple people) I stood there and waited for them to place the sticker on, I waited like 5 minutes at least of them running around and trying to grab the roses still I had to physically place the rose on myself.

With the gas puzzle in the second temple. Alright I need to fix that I thought that wasn't low enough for someone to get under. Also why are the LEDs a problem? I thought it added more of a hit that you 1. got it right and 2. that's where you are supposed to place the cushions. The LEDs only light up when the right cushion is placed there, so its not really a hint.

And sure I'd be more than happy to play your level I'll get on that today and fix that gas, thanks glad you liked it

*quick edit*

-gas is fixed in that puzzle room in the older sister's temple, also made it a tad harder to move around

-i fixed some of the decoration on the roof top garden because some of the plants disappeared (I don't know why)

I don't think i will fix that because in my evil mind I see that as increasing the length of the level by 15 minutes which is a good thing haha, well if enough people complain about it I'll change it, but right now it seems people are finding it eventually so I am leaving it as is
