who do you guys think is the undisputed Fighting game champion, Street Fighter or Tekken? I think right now i'll go with Tekken, but i don't know. What do you guys think is the best series of fighting games? Also can anyone help me i'm either going to put down a full reservation for Tekken 6, or just get Street Fighter IV what should i do? May the best series win!

I haven't played any of the newer Tekken games but i have SF4 Both games are fun but i prefer the characters and style that SF4 has

Well to be honest, I'd say Virtua Fighter 5. It's an older game though, so most people would dismiss it. Soul Calibur 4 is not too bad either. Some would say it's a bit button mashy, but I enjoy the subtle depth and genuine difference in length, speed and power that each of the characters and weapon choices represent. I'd say SC 2 was the pinacle of the series though. SC 4 was about the same as SC 3, but both were worse than SC 1. As for the specific examples at hand, Street Fighter 4 is quite a hard game I find to play, and that is with an arcade stick and a relatively decent amount of fighting game experience. It certainly looks beautiful, but some of the chains and combos I just find really difficult to pull off for some reason. I don't think I've ever won an online match either, but I can happily live with that. I'm decent enough but not a hard core street fighter. I use to play Tekken 5 and T5R as well in the arcades a bit and on consoles, but once again was not a hard core player. From what I have seen I think I might enjoy Tekken 6 more than SF:IV. Tekken as a series is a lot less forgiving in terms of combo moves compared to SF in my opinion, hence all the Ken and Ryu from SF wannabes. But once you do get it, however, it's quite an enjoyably deep game, much like Virtua Fighter 5. I'm not sure if I would reserve it or buy a special edition for it personally, however. At the moment it's a game I am anticipating, but not to the point of thinking about nothing else.

Depends on what you think each game is better in ____ catagory. For characters, I'd prefer Tekken (cuz my main man Law iz on it!!). For visual style, Street Fighter. And so on, and so on, and so on.

I would say Mortal Kombat ( Best theme song EVER! ). But actual gameplay, I would have to say... Strreet Fighter, just because of all the juicy combos. This has been a High Voltage opinion
