Running Elder Scrolls: Arena on Vista? (with dosbox) Having really garbled graphics..

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to run the first elder scrolls game with dosbox on vista... only I'm having a really bad issue on my character stat screen when I first start the game.

Any ideas? I've attached a photo.		2009-07-03 16:57:00

That is weird. I'm on XP and arena runs fine for me, but one suggestion I have is running in "backwards compatibility mode" (I'm not sure if this is even in vista, but it's worked for me before with old games. I think it's right click, properties?) OR you could run as administrator (usually right click, run as)2009-07-03 17:08:00

Vista can't run 16-bit apps at all natively, it doesn't support full screen console.

Instead I'm using something called DosBox - I guess I should try this on an XP machine? Thanks for the reply 		2009-07-03 17:18:00

I am using DropBox too! Though I think I deleted it after I finished Death Rally (GET THIS GAME)...have you tried doing what I said in my last post ON dropbox, or reinstalling Arena?2009-07-03 17:24:00

Got it fixed... I'm an idiot.

I was running A.exe instead of Arena.bat lol

ETA: Eek, but now I'm having another issues where it won't save my game! ... working on it. lol		2009-07-03 19:30:00
