Some very interesting and challenging platforming in this level. Not the best looking level (but you do have some tough competition on this site for that title!) although it is better then about 80% of the levels on LBP...
I'd say just say bump up the looks, generally polish it all over (doesn't need much though) and possibly increase the size if you have some more ideas floating around. But apart from that it was a short but sweet very tomb like level 4 stars and heart (so I can come back and ace it )

I liked the intro, the level has a nice style going for it. I personally would make the motor bolts invisible and put a wheel design or sticker onto the actual (I'm assuming that it's) rubber parts. I just think it would be cleaner without the tinny whining motor bolt sound. There were several spots of uneven ground, it would be nice to put it in grid mode and smooth those out but that is just me being picky and critical. The temple was nicely decorated, but the "Jump" didn't come up until I was already half way across. It did have me going for a second though. At the part where you place the gems, I lifted up the green one and ran straight into the candle. I'm not sure if the candle is intensionally placed so close, but it just makes it so you have to go around. A very minor detail, but still something you might want to look at in your quest for self-level improvement. The checkpoints were all placed in good locations and there weren't too many or too few. That may seem like a minor thing, but it is very important and people often don't find the right balance. I liked the Ra part where you had to jump to avoid certain death, but rather than giving it away and calling the player a "noob", you could have a hint grab switch or just after a certain number of fails. Is there a certain reason that you chose not to have any score bubbles until the end? I think the level would benefit from having score bubbles throughout it. There was also a random piece of flat dark matter in the front layer at the stairs where you take the picture. It looked out of place and sloppy. Overall though, I thought it was a very well done level. I gave it :star::star::star::star: because of the minor polish issues.

And to Morgana25, Silverleon's levels are mercilessly hard, I was able to beat this level without tearing my hair/eyes/major organs out.

Thanks for the input. the jeep thing i can understand... i just got lazy and didnt feel like making any more cars. though i make pretty good cars if i do say so myself (you can check out my ferrari FFX in my level "late night drive" and i dont think my smart car or mustang are on any published levels...). I do have my own custom rims, but i left them out because they didnt go with the jeep since i put the ferrari symbol on them. also the "noob" part was out or frustration. on one version of this level i got several 1 stars and comments saying it was too hard because of that part. however, if you know what to do it is the easiest part of level. the score bubbles, i may consider putting more in, there are several good spots to put them in. but i am not really a score bubble person, i never get them when i play video games. also, there is a pile of hidden score bubbles at the top of the hill where the rocks are rolling down if you missed those

I played through this one and it's challenging... Silverleon you might dig parts of this one.

what about my "hardest level ever???" is that not harder than silverleon's levels?

extremely nice introduction and presentation of level, everything is within a single flow. I didn't understand the chat at the beginning, the one with the panoramic camera
At the part with the thrown shurikens, quite often the second one kills you as soon as you respawn; immediately after, the keys you have to put in the boxes may fall down (i almost made one of them fall by jumping and running on it; the giant fire block was totally unexpected xD; in the treasure room, right in front of the stairs, there's a piece of dark matter floating

I really enjoyed this level, even if it's a bit short; i totally HATED the section with spikes on floor & ceiling, god bless the infinite checkpoint xD

I didn't think it was too difficult, it was exactly the level of difficulty I like to play with.

I specially liked the part with the spikes on floor and ceiling, ad I've gotta say that that starting with the jeep was also good.

The platforming in your level was really good, it did amuse me, and it only bored me at some points, were you just ran, with nothing to do.

I would have enjoyed this level much more if you had payed more attention to the aesthetics; keep in mind that by simply using the grid, you could easily improve on that.

I'd like you to give feedback to "Lafarge's request", my incoming level. I shall PM you when it is released. Thanks!

Overall, it wasn't a bad level at all; I had much fun in it.
I did rate it 4 stars and tag it "Platforms". I would have ratted it 5 stars if the aesthetics were taken care of and if it wasn't a H4H level, system wich in my opinion, is rotting LBP.

thanks or the feedback, very helpful. however, im not sure what you mean by not using the grid, everything is on a grid except for two things, the indentations in the hill where the flaming bals are rolling down, and the Ra stickers (which were not on a grid because i put them at the max juping distance from the last sticker).

i will make sure to play your level.

Is this really a H4H level? I'd strongly suggest taking that out. I didn't notice that when I played it.

My bad. I really thought you hadn't used the grid. Now that I take a closer look at the lvl, I see that's exactly the other way round. My apologies :S

Oh, what, it is not? I was pretty sure that I did read it in the description.

Sorry, then. I don't know what's wrong with my mind. My deepest apologies.
Go****it, it looks like I was with my mind on the clouds while I played this; first the grid thing and now this. I don't know how to apologie.

There's no need to give me feedback on my level anymore, I have been less than useless here.

Today I played your level. I'm going to write my thoughts before reading what others have put. That way if I mention the same things you might consider improving those parts.

I love these adventure levels where it's all about the platform and trap challenges without a lot of story, technical bragging or just running around never being in danger. I rarely stumble apon these but they should make up the majority of the levels considering it's a platform game. This is all about the gameplay so now your level is automaticly better then 80% of the levels out there. Congratulations!

I like the clean visual and the beggining looks great. Nice trees and backround stickers. I also liked the pillars before the entrance. I don't have this pack so I've never seen these stickers before. Overall the level might look too clean though. It looks a bit empty sometimes and could easily be improved. You can also improve simple things like hiding motor bols and sticker dissolve material making them look like a part of the level.

The shuricens (i don't know how to spell) was a nice idea but the first one is a bit cheap. It's great if you want to scare players because death doesn't come more sudden than that. But if that wasn't the point then it would be nice to be able to see them coming first. The other problem with that area is that it is very hard to see anything between all those pillars. I can't see where I can hide or if I'm in the right layer.

The somewhat easy puzzles are nice. They give some variaty but doesn't take long so you are soon back to jumping for your life. I really don't like getting stuck in a puzzle for very long. This was very well balanced.

My favorite part of the level was the spikes with the narrow jumps. I love a challange and that was quite tricky. BUT you also had a few checkpoints in there so it was never frustrating at all. This was also very well balanced.

Between the intro and this bit the visuals haven't been much to talk about but the entrence to the treashure looks really cool when it opens. There is for some reason a floating square of dark matter very randomly placed right after that bit. This looks very odd.

The finish screen looks great aswell.

Overall a simple and enjoyable level of a kind that is way to rare in LBP. The level doesn't look terrible or anything it just got alot of empty space and could easily be much better looking.

You got 3 stars from me. :star::star::star:

alrighty I just played through this.

I've played a lot of Egypt themed levels and compared to some I have to agree with the other posters its quite empty. When your level has a theme you should try to make the game enjoyable and just enough detail to make the level relivable, and this just wasn't doing it for me. Since its a temple use some rust stickers and other realistic stickers around to give the place a more aged feel.

The platforming element was good but somewhat cliche at times which isn't bad but isn't all that great. Personally I thought the level was quite easy (call me hardcore I know). Only part I had trouble with was the shurikens near the beginning. It was too dark for me to know that I had to dodge them. What I suggest is place maybe a blood mark sticker or something under the areas to hide in and brighten it up so I know they are coming and to hide. It also annoyed me that they came from nowhere because it gives me the paranoid feeling of being hit even though I'm across.

In the treasure room near the end I saw dark matter floating around you might want to fix that.

The part with jumping on Ra stickers if you get hit don't say "jump on the sticker noob" because it ruined the illusion of the level.

Overall ad more detail and make some more fine tuning, it was enjoyable I gave it :star::star::star::star:

Also if you want to F4F you can take a look at my Underground series thanks:

Thanks for the feedback, i knew that the level was empty but i wasnt sure what else to put for decoration... i only had one other kind of egyptian sticker, but i forgot to piut that in.

also, did anyone notice the progressing addition of new musical instruments as you progressed through the level????? i thought that was the coolest part!!

Nice level! ...pretty tricky though. For whatever reason I could not get past the spikes where you have the singles over the larger ones on the floor. It was a neat challenge, but one I failed miserably at. If I tried to time the jump so I was passing through the gap, I would end up on the back layer into the candle flame. So I am obviously missing something.

I liked the fiery blocks where you had to make the gaps in time. The shuriken challenge was neat, but I agree the first one seemed cheap. I did like that you turned them off when I fell off and had to go back through both layers again! ..If you did leave them on, I would suggest moving the lower checkpoint a bit to the left so you don't auto trigger it by falling over your own feet like I did.

I would agree the level seemed a bit empty for having so much area. Maybe not just stickers either, possibly adding something as simple as some blocks or debris here and there? Maybe check out some pics from tombs might give you an idea. As suggested adding smudges etc would help give it some dimension.

I will have to try again to complete the level before I can fully give a review, but wanted to at least let you know what thoughts I had so far.

Thanks again for checking out my level!
