I played it yesterday and it's got some good stuff going on. Everything worked and I didn't get trapped or have to restart at any point which was good. The chickens are funny. I do feel really bad for the dead ones but your overall design for them is cute.

You have a lot of stuff going on visually and some very nice lighting in some spots. The on thing that seems really solid are your platforming challenges. The difficulty seemed to be just about right to me and there's enough variation that it doesn't feel repeptitive.

My only suggestion would be to make more electrified chickens fall next to the big bad guy at the end. When you have more than 1 person playing it's possible to get behind the chicken and not get electricuted. It's a little confusing to know if you have to die or not there then.

Overall a fun and cute level. I gave it 4 stars. Thanks for sharing it.

Don't worry about F4F for me

The introduction was nice, but a little bit too long for my taste. I liked the house, it was nice and detailed, but I accidentally fell behind the cars and got stuck as the race began, so I had to restart in order to not lose all of that race time respawning. There was a nice use of lighting, and the hazards were simple but effective in making the level entertaining. The chickens are a nice, light-hearted touch to the level, its a great theme. I felt that the electrified pillar area was too long, and the floor was a little uneven at the end, but those are just petty issues and are nothing to worry about. I really liked the electric wave, that's something I haven't seen in a level before. I got stuck on the torch above it and subsequently landed on an electric portion, but that also just might be my clumsiness. Hidden areas with bubbles are always a good addition, its more incentive to explore and shoot for the leaderboard. After you jump over the blue gas going to the left and jump onto the small platform, I hit the switch and was crushed going up, making me have to restart, and then it happened again. It was very frustrating and I stopped playing the level there, it would be easier if it was a directional proximity switch, rather than a two-way switch. I still rated it 5 stars, because I did have fun up until that point. Be sure to check out my LittleBigMemory level.2009-06-29 02:37:00

Ok, I'll give it another play through now and see how I do. I'll update this post with my thoughts on the rest of it.

EDIT: So I replayed the level, made it past the platform part with no problems, only to have the seesaw crushed by the block 30 seconds later. I played it again, and the exact same thing happened. It's the area in your second to last screen shot. I gave up after that, but the good news is that I've played it so many times that I would have the high score if I could finish it, because I didn't die on my most recent run and I have just over 40,000 and that's before the seesaw.

I played it last night and enjoyed it. I especially like the nice touches you put into it, like the dead chickens that rise after you pass them by.

I agree with the big chicken at the end comment. I went behind the chicken as well and didn't get electrocuted; I also think that there could have been some more enemies, or chickens coming out of the ground to startle the player.

Overall, very well done.

I finally beat it just now. Previously, the seesaw would awkwardly push me up, but not high enough to reach the switch and it would break. This time, I got up to the switch and opened the door and eventually beat the level, but the seesaw still broke. Check the high score board, I'm on top now.

EDIT: New high score, almost 50,000!

Nice intro, but it is a little long in my opinion.
Since I didn't play the first level first, I didn't know whata pollo was.
The fire eggs arn't much of an obstacle because sackboy just switches layers automatically, but it may be too hard if that were the case. I'm sure it's built that way because you play tested the difficulty.
The electric wave part was cool, and the layout of the obstacles is pretty good. The sync/timing reminded me of Crash Bandicoot #1, where you were punished for not going slow and being careful. The difficulty was just right, and the checkpoints were spaced nicely.

There were a few minor niggles, like glued pyramids of bubbles, some switches not glued down, etc.
Automated elevators, idk, I tend to use prox switches, but yours didn't detract from the level.

Zombies sure are fun to kill =D
