Levels 'endorsed' by Jackofcourse and Brnxblze We thought we'd make our own 'cool level page' to help you guys find some great ones. It's just basically levels that we feel deserve some recognition and are the best we have found in the game. How it works... We have a list of 10 levels each. These will be rotated as we find others that we think are worthy of the list. This will help keep the list fresh and not get old as it will always be changing. We will try not to choose the same levels as each other, but that's not to say we won't. If we do, it's obviously a sign that we feel this really is truly something special. Found a gem...? You can offer up levels for us to play if you feel that they could get on the lists. However, this is not a review thread, please do not offer up your level just to get a few plays on it. We're aiming for this list to be levels that we feel are VERY best to offer in LBP. If you don't think the level you are submitting is nearing the quality of Mm's own work, please do not post it. NOTE: This is totally subjective, we are not saying these are the best levels in LBP and all others aren't as good, it is just about our personal preference at this current time. | 2009-06-27 21:38:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |
Jackofcourse's List 1.The Scary Factory Overlooking the Small Village by Geosautus Amazing level, beautifully designed with some good gameplay too. (Though a few parts are similar to elements we have seen in the story mode levels). This can be forgiven however due to how well they've been implemented. The ending is probably one of my favourite moments in LBP too. It is immense. 2. The Journey to the Centre of the Earth 2 by CRIFFER A level purposely built to be challenging. It is visually stunning with some very tough, yet very fair, platforming. A must level for all the players who like a tough level. You haven't got much margin for error but it manages to pull this off without ever becoming frustrating. 3. Plat-former by CadaverWalking A innovative title to matched an incredibly innovative level. The best use of the paintinator I have seen by far. Again it is a challenging level, but well worth the effort. It could be frustrating at first if you're not great with the paintinator but I would urge you to stick with it. 4. Save Die Reload by carlsenjeppe Probably the best concept I have seen on LBP. It changes the way you look at the game totally. It's almost like a game in itself. The best puzzler I have played. Absolute genius. Heckboy88 also has a level inspired by this, using the very same concept. It is called 'Death to Succeed'. Definitely recommend it if you enjoyed this one. 5. LittleBigSimon by Bostonwon2004 A mini game that I was asked to review a long time ago. It is amazing, the logic that is behind it is incredible. It's just based on remembering a sequence of colours. Ever addictive and very clever. 6. B.W by Morrito Nice level, good gameplay and nice visual style. It's very well made and thought out with a lot of carefully crafted platforming and cool obstacles. 7. Tale of the Magnificent Ruby by geosautus Another level by geosautus. Beatiful visuals again with very nice and varied gameplay. Good story to move along the gameplay. An awesome boss too, for his first attempt it truly is amazing. Visually stunning and works very well. 8. STAR WARS: Ep V: The Empire Strikes Back: Dagobah: err..Etc by julesyjules One of the only levels where I actually enjoyed the story. It is charming and funny throughout and doesn't become tedious at any stage. The platforming is simple but effective and the scenery is awesome. A must play. 9.Unhearted: Drakes Misfortune by GruntosUK A beautiful level with a very funny motive behind it. Nice game play with some interactive and well thought of puzzles. It's structured very well, with paths and sections overlapping, but not at any point do you get lost or confused. Very well planned and executed. 10. Ninja Test: Jonin Rank by Ixodis A very very tough level. Definitely one for the hardcore LBP'ers. While it it is harder than most, it manages to stay innovative and fresh. It isn't difficult just because the creator made all the platforms stupidly small and put all the speeds up really high. It is carefully constructed and well thought out. | 2009-06-27 21:39:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |

I want mini-reviews in brnxblze`s selections too please Also, there are a good few of these I haven`t heard of before so, good work. Are you going to edit levels in and out of your list? If that`s the case, might I suggest you just make new 'top 10s' rather than replace levels here and there so that people arriving late don`t miss out? You could keep your main Top 10 as the prominent feature and have older versions minimised. Like an archive. | 2009-06-28 01:49:00 Author: Matt 82 Posts: 1096 |

I plan on just replacing the levels so that they're always changing around...but ensuring that the ones that have previously been on the list are recognised too is a good point. Will probably have them put in a drop down list once they're taken off, so they're all archived like you say. Thanks Hope you enjoy them, I know with my list, I tried to pick a few unknowns that people may not have heard of before | 2009-06-28 01:55:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |
I've already mentioned this elsewhere, but great job guys! Keep it up! | 2009-06-28 02:00:00 Author: amazingflyingpoo Posts: 1515 |
I want mini-reviews in brnxblze`s selections too please Don't worry, that's coming as soon as I replay those levels . Edit: An archive sounds great, maybe have them in a spoiler or something. I think what I might do is keep this top 10 list in a spoiler (when I do my next 10) since they're my top 10 favorite of all time then I make a new top 10 every week and make a different spoiler for each one. Then I just keep editing the 10 top favorite list every time I find a level good enough to be in my top 10. Edit 2: Reading this back, it doesn't really make sense so I apologize for that . I couldn't find a way to put my thoughts into words and that's what came out. | 2009-06-28 03:05:00 Author: brnxblze Posts: 1318 |
Great levels, but I noticed brnxblze's Zephyr Valley has a broken video. You can use this one: YouTube - LittleBig Planet Level ~ Zephyr Valley by mrsupercomputer [HD] ;D | 2009-06-29 04:16:00 Author: Kog Posts: 2358 |
I don't think my levels are quite this quality, this seems like a great list though. Now I have to go play all the ones I've never heard of. You should check out Tree Fortress 1 and 2 by Splapp-me-do. | 2009-06-29 04:33:00 Author: Walter-Kovacs Posts: 542 |
WOW! This Zephyr Valley level looks gorgeous... I'm almost mad at myself for not having played it before - it's going on my 'to play' list right now! The same goes for several of these other levels. Thanks for the list guys! | 2009-06-29 05:15:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |

WOW! This Zephyr Valley level looks gorgeous... I'm almost mad at myself for not having played it before - it's going on my 'to play' list right now! Yeah, that level is awesome as are the rest of mrsupercomputer's levels. You might want to add the rest of his levels (Mulberry Woods and Basilisk Bog) to your play list as well. Oh and your level would've been #10 if it wasn't for that level. I had you at 10 but then I did a quick check of my hearted list and noticed that level. | 2009-06-29 07:35:00 Author: brnxblze Posts: 1318 |
Great idea, guys. I'm personally going to go through and play a few of these right now. | 2009-06-29 08:10:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
Thanks for the Zephyr Valley love! Also, there are quite a few levels in both of your lists that I haven't had the opportunity to play, so I appreciate that you're bringing them to our attention and look forward to your lists in the future! | 2009-06-29 13:11:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |

Wow, I'm honored that so many people have been so taken with my level. I feel like it's nowhere near the caliber of the likes of mrsupercomputer, AAAlone, Julesyjules, Gruntsuk, etc. You guys are legends in me eyes... ha ha. | 2009-06-29 13:28:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |

Those are some of my favorite creators of all-time but I think if you keep creating you can reach there. I just love your style of creating, your levels look so smooth (if that makes sense) and you are very creative with your gameplay. I'm really looking forward to anything you make in the future. | 2009-06-29 16:30:00 Author: brnxblze Posts: 1318 |
Try out my level: "Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train (Intro)" it is by far my most popular level and the most accurate copy of Crazy Train in LBP. It is my very first level to get a friend request from some random guy saying "I played and hearted your level". :hero: (It's kinda annoying, though. Oh well, I guess that's what you get when you make a popular level.) | 2009-06-29 20:02:00 Author: tjb0607 Posts: 1054 |
Haha, the Zephyr valley link is still broken. Just remove everything from the " out, then it should work. | 2009-06-29 21:50:00 Author: Kog Posts: 2358 |
Thanks for all the posts guys A number of the levels in my list aren't the 'whole package' and there's no doubt that areas within them could be improved, but there's just something about them that I love. Plat-former and Die Save Reload for example. Visually, they are nothing spectacular, but concept wise, they are just out of this world. | 2009-06-29 22:01:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |
Ancient Castle, by Oil_ should by on one of these lists. It's epically simple, and simply epic. Wow, that wordplay worked out nicely, but yeah, it a great level. The creator is Japanese (I think), so we don't know much about him. Also, if you guys haven't already, check out the "A Royal Love Letter" series by newcomer to LBPC, luke (PSN: Mamett-box). For me, it's the closest I've seen to MM's style - which means it looks great and just flows very smoothly. | 2009-06-30 16:18:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Thanks for adding Unhearted, I thought that level was long forgotten in the 7 days system. Thanks to Comphermc for the mention to, you're Aperture Science level was awesome, that's why we spotlighted it, don't sell yourself short. I'm having quite a LBP joy filled day today | 2009-06-30 19:21:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
Blimey, Im very flattered to be included on those lists, thanks guys! @ Comphermc - don't be daft, I pretty much reckon that every well regarded creator has particular strengths. For what it's worth, I couldn't have made something like your latest level anywhere near as well as you did, I'm pretty hopeless at making anything with more than two logic switches. That's why i rely on bad jokes. | 2009-06-30 19:35:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
That's why i rely on bad jokes. Cheesy doesn't always equal bad... Your Dagobah level was one of my favorites of this past month, ha ha. | 2009-06-30 21:36:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
I played Save Die Reload after reading this and it has a great concept, though of course it could use some better level design but that doesn't matter. Another level uses this concept as well, Sackboy's Inferno 2. I think it was used quite a bit so if you liked that level you'd probably like this one too. And besides that its a great level anyway. I also think Ninja made a thread for it on here | 2009-07-01 07:49:00 Author: Shris Posts: 126 |
I've played all of these and they're awesome. ahh... I think Splat Invaders is long forgotton. | 2009-07-01 15:46:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

He's a member here, but he mistyped the level thread title , so it says "Dark andf Light" It does it slightly differently, but I feel like it works even better, and it has a much better visual style. | 2009-07-01 15:51:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
ahh... I think Splat Invaders is long forgotton. Not to some people | 2009-07-01 16:01:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |

Also Dark and Light by Stevo_1983. He's a member here, but he mistyped the level thread title , so it says "Dark andf Light" Also Zorro's Suicide Factory 1 & 2 by ZorroTheMighty. I liked this one a lot and it looks ok. | 2009-07-01 18:55:00 Author: brnxblze Posts: 1318 |
Oh yeah, Dark and Light I have played too but I think that its a bit different from directly moving the checkpoint | 2009-07-01 19:47:00 Author: Shris Posts: 126 |
Wow thanks for the lists! I've already played most of them, but I missed out on a few great ones, namely Morgana's Chroma Stone series, and the Journey to the Center of the Earth series, both of which were amazing. | 2009-07-03 08:24:00 Author: hilightnotes Posts: 1230 |
Lost Ages, by Deftmute. This level will drive some people nuts, but others will be bowing to its platforming greatness. Probably my favorite LBP level of all time, not because its the prettiest level around, but because it completely redefines what an LBP level can be. It's tough...and can be frustrating. And it's long, very long - but don't let it deter you. You will feel so accomplished when you complete both halves... | 2009-07-03 23:55:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
