Hey Everyone! I bought LBP when if first came out... played it a bit...saw its potential... then went back to my World of Warcraft addiction... I have played WoW for over 4 years and simply got burned out... Now with some free gaming time I dove into LBL... and an odd thing happened... my entire family RUNS from whatever they are doing when they hear me playing LBL... LBL has become connected to my other hobbies in a real way (art/music) which sad to say were all shut out due to WoW... and my son... who cringes at the word "creative" is drooling at the chance to start making gadgets/levels... I pretty much just started "creating" in LBL and am going through basics... and trying to glean as much info as I can from user tutorials and the like... which of course led me here Oh if you want specifics about me... in a nutshell: 43 yrs old... married with children (5 of them)... Trying to get my wife into this but she sort of just looks at me funny... Hoping to meet some great people... learn some new things...and most of all: create and have fun

welcome welcome Sounds like you've come to the right place! There are TONS of creators here who want to help you solve any problems you have, and we have a right friendly bunch of people here. Of course, we do have a nutty evil overlord or two, but thats all part of the fun. Be sure to ask if you need anything, peanuts are on the second door to your right.

Welcome! Sounds like you're going to fit right in We're all hooked on it and we do have several married couples that both are into LBP. Hope your wife stops looking at you funny... although, now that I say that - my family has been looking at me strangely lately too... oh well, I'm sure it's nothing to do with my complete and total LBP addiction. Have fun!

Welcome! Not to worry! We all share a common addiction! ...sorry to hear your wife looks at you funny, but maybe she always did? Possibly you just never noticed with your head stuck in the monitor playing WoW. So it might be this new LBP creation addiction is good! You are starting to notice humans around you!! They are running toward you and not away from you! This is really great news! So make her some crazy comical device like a some gun that shoots flower pots and she may even smile again!

Thanks all for the warm welcome! With all the little tutorials out of the way... I started (as best I could) dissecting some of the templates to see the HOWs of the environment... of course that didn't last long as I wanted to do what many probably want to do at first... strap on a rocket an GO!!! And boy did my Sackboy go! My son has the controller atm... had him do the tutorials (and he wasn't happy... anything he has to read and learn... hoping this shows him creating can be fun!) But he is now off collecting goodies... On that note I am at 77% overall... the quest for 100% begins Thanks again for the welcome!

Welcome amalsam Be careful what u wish for... my hubby, daughter and I are all addicted to LBP. Makes it very interesting to see which of us gets to the ps3 first. We all play together but it can get a little touchy when its time to create. Enjoy and hope your wife gets the LBP addiction also.

I do the same to him so I guess it evens out. Eventually we work together on our levels and at the end of the day we end up with happy sackpeople. He gets LBP at 3 am till he goes to work, I get it while he's at work and on the weekend it's whoever gets it first. LOL
