Okay, so I downloaded the demo yesterday and installed it, but have yet to play it. I read everywhere that it's a great game, but that it's way too short. Do you guys think it's worth buying?

Personally, I don't like giving my games in trade-in or anything like that, so if I buy it, I'd stay with it. Is it worth the money? I think I'd just buy it used, to be honest...

EDIT: Oh, crap. I thought I was posting this in the VideoGames section. x____x

It's a complete Button Basher dude. And it gets irritating **** quickly. Seriously, the only button you'll be pressing is triangle, over and over again.2008-09-04 20:15:00

Yeah it is a okay game, I don't know if it is on sale than maybe it is worth it but I think it was a half attempt at a God of War game and it really didn't do it for me. Some okay parts and some interesting stuff but not the greatest game. check the top 5 list and see what games most people like and if you don't have those than get one of them.2008-09-04 20:45:00

Might trade for it through GameTZ. I enjoyed the demo somewhat.2008-09-04 22:56:00

I bought it and played it up until the first boss (the serpent woman) and stopped playing. It's repetitive and while the environments look pretty cool, I just didnt enjoy it much overall. The cut-scenes and voice acting are absolutely amazing though.2008-09-05 00:18:00

Okay, a friend lent it to me and so far so good. I love it. Yes, it's button-mashing friendly, but that's entirely up to the player. Me, I rather do things with style and enjoy the game, doing beautiful KO-counters. ;D!! The animation is so fluid, and the combat is pretty good.2008-09-16 09:03:00

Can't say I was impressed with much other than the graphical quality of the cutscenes. I like a good button mashing hack and slash, but this wasn't it. Not enough variety of moves, all I ever needed to hit was one button. The acting and lip synching was horrible as well.2008-09-16 09:21:00

Not worth picking up for anything more than $10 secondhand. It's a dull repetitive experience. Make sure you've played GTA4, MGS4, Ratchet, Uncharted, Resistence and COD4 before you even think about it. Even Devil May Cry is more fun.2008-09-16 11:48:00

I'd add Burnout Paradise to that list, fun game, budget price and excellent update coming up including bikes.

Buzz quiz tv is a excellent for a party game, a mate of mines has it and it's a lot of fun when I drop around for a visit. You can select internet questions, those are user generated and constantly new.

I picked up Buzz last week. I LOVE it. User generated questions are nice and I like most of the rounds, I want to turn off the pie round because I find it makes the game a little too unbalanced, but otherwise enjoy it.

I would also say there are a lot of other games to try before HS, Ratchet, Uncharted and Resistance being among the best.

Yep, excellent addition - completely forgot Burnout. Great graphics and a superb sense of speed and destruction.

This ^.

Not my type of game, but to each his own I guess.
But, many people seem to like GTA4. Personally I felt it was a let down and overhyped.
If you don't have it, get CoD4. You will not be disappointed.

Speaking of CoD4... I was kinda wrapped up in school around the time it and Halo 3 came out last year, and so I kinda got out of the swing of things and disconnected from the gaming news. Well, a friend let me borrow his 360 and Halo 3 for a week, and so I beat the game before returning it. I thought that was a pretty good game, very polished and all, and well-balanced. Then before this Summer started, I spent the money I'd be saving up for a couple years for no particular reason to buy a PS3. And I got CoD4. And I was blown away. CoD4 is just good in a way that Halo 3 wasn't. It's just entirely there. The single-player campaign is even better than Halo 3 co-op. And that's saying a lot.

So yeah. Get CoD4 if you haven't.

As for Burnout Paradise, that game is purely awesome. The only thing I really didn't like is that I've played previous Burnout games (2, specifically) and with the open world the game took a step away from racing and more towards driving. So that aspect isn't as tight. But it adds so much more to the package. So on the large, it's an extremely excellent and awesomely addicting game that you won't be able to get enough of any time soon. (And this is with a hundred thirty hours down on it, and I'm STILL not done with everything.)

Also, add Battlefield: Bad Company to the list, at least if you like multiplayer.

ok weird i used triangle and square to make some combo's. And i actually liked the game very much. but yeah it's something like rachet and clank you play through it very quickly and then it's laying there for a year and then you decide to do it again.... but i liked it

I second Creative's question. The voice acting and lip synching is superb.2008-09-16 19:49:00
