Fogarty's Cove P.3 Ideas

I am scouring the LBPC world for cool ideas for part 3 of my level series "The Legend of Fogarty's Cove". Play them and get an idea of the universe. What I'm looking for is cool Ideas for platforming sections or just do-dads to put in colonial sea port town in the 1700-1800s. also boss suggestions and ideas for the colonial fort would be cool. I have a basic idea so I am open to lots of suggestion. anything I use will be credited in the level as well as LBPC for providing the medium for this discuss to take place. Thanks in advance.

Hi Chancellor,

I'm looking forward to seeing what you put in part 3 because I enjoyed the first 2 very much.

A big plus for me was the story and interesting narrative so I really hope you keep that up. Have you got the narrative sorted yet because if you have the best thing imo would be to base your design around that maybe. As I don't know what you've got the characters saying this time it's difficult to suggest the right things for the level.

However as you say it's set in a colonial seaport town maybe you could start on the ship anchored in the bay and jump across a couple of rowboats to reach the harbour , then a short walk up the pier ( with enemies or obstacles? ) into town.

Once in town you could perhaps have some platforming sections or enemy fights at 'Ye Olde Inn' and other buildings that fit the theme. maybe a row of old houses with balconies where you have to swing or jump between them ?

They're only simple ideas I know but it's difficult to offer suggestions without knowing the layout. Hope that helps a little anyway.

I love the row boat idea. Definately their will be a ye olde inn or something of that nature because the crew is going to have to expand. In part 3 the Natrative will continue you with the enter of the port gather a few more crew members, and Stealing a vessel from the colonials. But hopefully this thread will continue to expand. See I know where the narative is basicly going for all the parts(5) Just I'm looking for creative segements to throw in the levels.2009-06-26 10:55:00

When I was doing my Pirate levels I watched 'Cutthroat Island'. It was a huge commercial flop in its day, but not only turned out to be rather good fun, but a great source of inspiration for look, and activities.2009-06-26 14:04:00
