"The Legend of Kenaar" series is finally out!

Archive: 2 posts

Finally, all of my hard work has paid off; The Legend of Kenaar series has been released! The Legend of Kenaar is a series of single player levels that involve two friends named Daniel (you) and Yuan that have mysterious dreams that take them to far away lands filled with magic, mayhem, humor, and awsome boss battles just waiting to be discovered. In the first level, Daniel and Yuan discover the first out of many worlds, The Stronghold of Champions. Here they must overcome giant guards and find a way out of the stronghold before King Altaron gets his hands on them.
Once one of my levels releases, I will wait for enough hearts to make a more updated version (about 5 hearts for each major update {normally I would anyway, but I want to make sure people will still play the level before investing time in it), then I make the next in the series (about 30 hearts).
If you are interested, try out my first level: "The Legend of Kenaar, pt I (Single Player)" by powpowpunch.
Also, I am taking lots of ideas from anyone that wants to submit something I should update or a new world to explore (My PSN ID is powpowpunch). I'm trying to get some screenshots and maybe even a trailer, so they should be up in a little bit.
So try out my level, and comments are always appreciated! :hero:

Hi. I played this yesterday and had a sort of love/hate thing going on with it.

While I thought you had some very good ideas in there I did find it a bit hit and miss.

I liked the arms you had on the wall that looked like they were trying to grab you as you walked past , that was excellent. I also thought your bosses were pretty good too.

2 things I didn't like so much were the lighting ( I really don't like overly dark levels or sections in levels ) because I like to see what I'm doing and don't like being killed by dangers that are impossible to see ,

and the part where you're whisked all over the place by the checkpoint and just keep dying over and over again. I'm sure that was very cleverly done but I couldn't see the point really and just found it annoying to keep hearing the dying and respawning noises constantly and not being able to do anything about it.

Overall I thought that section spoiled what was a very promising level. If possible I would take that out altogether and continue the design and ideas you started with and up the lighting.
