Situation - Roomates sharing a PS3. Idiotically all of the LBP info was done on one particular profile. Now roomates are splitting up into separate households. How do we transfer the level information from one profile to another? Reeeeally don't want to lose those levels. (hoping this is even possible).

Ok. this is your best bet: Let's say the levels were on your account. Your friend will be on a differen account. Simply publish whatever levels he did locked and copyable. Then send him the key by pressing square on the key on the items screen. Then he will get access to the locked level, and copy it to his moon. Then, if he has too many levels for your moon to handle, then delete his levels from your published levels, and do it again. Make sense?

i was wondering this same thing.. my girlfriend has her profile on my PS3 but may get a PS3 of her own at some point (that way we can access Home together among other things).... this is a good suggestions for transferring levels... now.. i need to figure out if there's a way to let her transfer her profile itself to another machine... it seems like it can be done with a flash drive to a certain extent.. but it also seems that some things will be more difficult to transfer due to the efforts of the PS programmers to resist software swapping and such (t least when they involve purchased products)

Thank you! That was simple enough I don't know why we didn't think of it. Haven't messed around with locked OR copyable settings much before. Moving a profile is simple. All she has to do is log in on her new PS3 and it will move most all of her information over. Not everything transfers, like downloaded content stays with the original PS3 HDD, but I believe that the Sony Store thing has a record of what you've purchased to dl on any given profile and you can just re-download most of it. Most... >.> And then you can copy onto a flash drive some of the other stuff, if needed. There will be some loss of information as some things just don't transfer well, but the main profile itself is automatic, practically. -- Anyway, thanks for replying to me! This is really a life saver. 'Emotional Investment' and all. ^_^
