As my first entry, I hope this is OK.. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j120/richergraphics/SIGNATURE-STRIP-terminator.jpg This has been made from several layers, the front one made as a render from a 3D model (rendered in DAZ3D), but I'm not sure I got the angle/surfaces right.. The background has been messed about with and a few tertiary layers were added for more content. Not sure about the font yet. The only thing I found really tricky was the 500x100 thing... aaarrrggghhhh! Rhy | 2009-06-29 00:23:00 Author: Rhyfelwr Posts: 606 |

Today is the deadline right? | 2009-07-05 12:55:00 Author: TheCrestfallen Posts: 40 |
idk if I'm too late - today being the deadline and all, but I made this anyway http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e56/Snoogyface/Star_wars_Banner.png | 2009-07-05 14:01:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Hello, I aint got really much time because I'm going to Greece very soon, so i created one allready. Signature: http://i32.tinypic.com/w7alw.png Also with a matching avatar: http://i27.tinypic.com/rayuyh.png Details about the Signature: Theme: Artwork, Infamous Size: 500 x 200. Information: I used 3 brushes for the lighting, the background was done without brushes. I did a quick fix of the contrast and for better detail I also layered a tv static effect with the brightness of 20 percent. I also created a small black border of 1 px to make it look deeper. Good luck guys | 2009-07-06 22:46:00 Author: TheCrestfallen Posts: 40 |
How come it says 'your name' in the top corner? or am i missing somthing? | 2009-07-06 23:44:00 Author: Unknown User |
How come it says 'your name' in the top corner? or am i missing somthing? It's a signature, the " yourname " tag is the place your name will stand. It's a common thing for sigs. | 2009-07-07 00:23:00 Author: TheCrestfallen Posts: 40 |
Is it? i've never seen it in a sig contest though, where you are meant to be making the sigs specifically for this and therefore putting your name on it? Obviously you don't NEED your name on it, but i mean, most do.... nevermind though =] | 2009-07-07 00:26:00 Author: Unknown User |

Sorry obsoleteXeo, but your entry will not be accepted since this is in the middle of a competition that started over 2 weeks ago. Please keep in touch to join v5 of the competition. | 2009-07-13 01:21:00 Author: LuckyShot Posts: 713 |
I understand. I just registered and noticed this, and having experience with graphic design, I thought I'd enter. Didn't know all the regulations and whatnot. I apologize. And ya, I'll be sure to sign up for v5. Hopefully that's soon. | 2009-07-13 01:27:00 Author: obsoleteXeo Posts: 134 |

Hey we probably should keep this thread for just the entries, it is getting rather cluttered... just saying :/ | 2009-07-14 15:02:00 Author: GrahamLif3 Posts: 386 |
Here's my entry for this round. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j120/richergraphics/SIGNATURE-STRIP-Fire.png Water... obviously! Rhy | 2009-07-14 23:55:00 Author: Rhyfelwr Posts: 606 |
Round Three So I will be in Idaho for five days, but I managed to make this tonight before I leave tomorrow- I took this photograph of a telephone pole in the sky. The theme is air- http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/rr198/Grahamstyl3/air.gif | 2009-07-16 06:16:00 Author: GrahamLif3 Posts: 386 |
Sorry I have to show you guys this http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e56/Snoogyface/Fire_Banner.png A fire banner that took me ages. Background from scratch. I was happy with the text on bowsers shell, the first time I've really implemented the text. | 2009-07-18 18:32:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Water! http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn95/molejack/mudkips.png I herd u liek it. I don't. | 2009-07-19 23:17:00 Author: moleynator Posts: 2914 |
Here's the first entry for the "reflections" round. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j120/richergraphics/SIGNATURE-STRIP-Reflection-1.png Mount Rhy! Rhy | 2009-07-21 22:47:00 Author: Rhyfelwr Posts: 606 |
Round Four- Reflections http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/rr198/Grahamstyl3/reflect-1.gif So I took a different approach to this one (Hopefully it pays off!). Instead of just doing a reflection in a mirror or water, like I had a feeling the other guys would do, I did something a little... abstract. I want this to be interpreted as a reflection in the sky. Almost like a day-dream. It took me well over an hour, most of it was just building the text 'REFLECT' | 2009-07-22 17:45:00 Author: GrahamLif3 Posts: 386 |
Reflection http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e56/Snoogyface/Reflection_Banner.png Well this took a long time before I felt it was finished. But now it finally is I'm pretty happy with it | 2009-07-24 10:22:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Final Round: Part One http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/rr198/Grahamstyl3/Rhyfelwr.gif SOOO with some of the information I gathered from Rhy, I had a fairly good idea of what I wanted to do. I found out he likes red, so I had a red gradient. He thought it would be cool to incorporate a Balrog from Lord of the Rings. And his name means 'Warrior' in Welsh. I hope you like it Rhy! It took quite a while | 2009-07-28 15:42:00 Author: GrahamLif3 Posts: 386 |
Oh god I'm nervous... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j120/richergraphics/SIGNATURE-STRIP-500x250-GrahamLif.png This was perhaps my hardest assignment yet - Good one Lucky!!!! My brief: Greens among others are favourites - stay away from murky colours. Wanted a feel like the "Away we go" movie poster - quite a challenge in itself! Graham is awesome at photography and should be very proud of it, so this is obviously what I've concentrated on. He also likes the sunburst effect... Apart from that, I just wanted to exceed previous entries by really creating something that would stand out.. hope I've achieved this. This was definately the hardest because both of us are very artistic (well Graham is anyway) and we are both very critical. I really, really hope you like this Graham. Even if you're not so keen and I go out this round, I'd like to get it right for you after. Rhy | 2009-07-28 20:38:00 Author: Rhyfelwr Posts: 606 |
Errrgghhh.. I'm tired now.. my next sig will be a white box! Here, at last, is my entry for the final... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j120/richergraphics/SIGNATURE-STRIP-Balrog.png I didn't want to use existing images and couldn't find a decent Balrog pic that would suit anyway - so I had to learn how to model in ZBrush, import into a renderer, import into PS and use a gagillion layers before finally ending up with this!!! It's a poor excuse for a weeks work......... I decided to take grahams sig a step further by enhancing the theme. For thse that don't know, Rhyfelwr is Celtic for Warrior, so the elven theme was perfect - Graham got that spot on. I also loved his colors so I have tried to stay true to form but add more depth and composition with the main character. can't... think...anymore.... Graham, get your posted and may the best man win! Rhy P.S. I took about 10 Screenshots of the development if anyone gives a hoot! | 2009-08-03 23:49:00 Author: Rhyfelwr Posts: 606 |
Oh boy Rhy your work ceases to amaze me! I don't know how I feel about mine anymore haha. But with that said: Final Round B: http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/rr198/Grahamstyl3/lenssig.png Umm where to start. I had a really hard time coming up with what I was going to do for this final round. But somehow a creative rush just came in and voila! I hope you guys like it. It took quite a while working with the different layers and such. But yeah. This is my final entry! MAY THE BEST SIG WIN!! | 2009-08-04 00:51:00 Author: GrahamLif3 Posts: 386 |
