Just to let people know, moley and I are currently working on a fairly big project, however I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say what it is.

Anyway, this project can only have the two of us working on it due to certain, uhh... things...

With the new online create feature it's now much easier for us to film! We can all film in play mode, switch to create mode and adjust camera angles or whatever and then switch back without anyone having to constantly join and leave!

AND on the 22nd we'll be able to remove the thermometer from the screen, which means we can do a load of acting in create mode too! Ooo yeah!

I actually uninstalled Skype a while ago, can't remember why though. I'll install it tomorrow and we'll talk. Remember we want to keep our team relatively small, so you still need to prove to us you're worthy. Anyway, talk all about it on Skype.

but yeah Fatal Fantasy was my project...but reading that the forum is gone explains why i couldnt get to it before then...so my apologies as well...well now that im in the sites group page i guess now we can discuss more there...and maybe make some new sketches and such...

Well i was thinking along the lines of:

Creating a really awesome stage with loads of instruments; piano, guitar, microphone etc. And then pick a song and try and get the singer to sing along to the words (with a headset) and yeah that's pretty much it. But if it's done well maybe using the 3d layer glitch to make the stage look bigger and maybe a crowd at the front it could look really awesome!

Lol, there a loads of videos of Sackboys dancing along to some music. None of them have really gone into much detail with a stage and instruments though. I haven't seen any lip sync ones either, but still it basically depends on whether you like the song or not...

I'm sorry. It never properly went down the drain, if you were that enthusiastic you'd have helped us back then and you'd most probably still be in the team now. Loads of people from the old team haven't made it into the new one, so it's nothing against you personally.

I don't think that's how it works...I think all you're doing is annoying the rest of the team (can't speak for everyone) but to be honest I can imagine this not ending well if you think that trying to make them feel bad will make them add you...not trying to sound rude or mean. but they've already stated before that they are full and only need a recording person...as for you constantly asking...again, i doubt it'll end well...but then again i can't stop you

Well, we really need someone who can record in HD. If recording in HD does become possible, you'd be the perfect member! And whilst I'm sure you'd be a great writer and actor, a recorder is what we need right now, so until then, it's a no from us I'm afraid.

Jwwphotos would be a great person to have in the team. I think I've asked him already though, not sure. I'm sure if I ask nicely he'll ocassionally record some odd-jobs. Infact he recorded footage of my latest level so I could make a trailer. So expect that to be uploaded to Sackinima's channel sometime this week.

I am honored that you feel that way about me and yes it is true that on occasion I will help you out. Not sure I could say, yes put me on the team as I just can't really commit to much of anything these days without prior knowledge and the scope of the project in question.

I have quite a few other projects going on inside as well as outside LBP and the ones outside take priority as they involve me getting $$ for my efforts.

This has got me a' thinking. Would anyone be interested if we started a trailer service? In which we make trailers for people's levels and then upload them to our channel? They're easy enough to do... We'd need some rules though.

idk about trailers...but i gotta be honest i LOVED the scoreboard credits system IF you do the trailers for levels...was really well done and pretty awesome...and it makes for a great feature for ALL level trailer endings

I though I had the audio of the entrance opening up, then after an hour of rendering and 4 hours of uploading to YouTube, I realised it wasn't there. I think it's too late now, sorry. :/

Of course, if you're making movies, you need actors - and that's where those Sackbots come in. Starting off as square-headed Sackboy drones when you plonk them into a new level, they're blank canvasses waiting for instructions - and the instructions they're willing to learn are quite staggering. With a simple flick through your inventory, you can make Sackbots indistinguishable from their Sackboy brethren but it's their tweakable behaviours that open up whole new possibilities in the game.

I'm excited, very excited. When LBP 2 comes, machinima's will be the easiest things to make, ever. So I think we can say this: expect a lot more from us later this year!

Oh yeh, with all this excitement I need to create something, so I'll be using the official announcement trailer to create my own fan-made trailer. Don't know what it'll turn out like, but I don't care! EXCITEMENT!!!

We've built a scene for our first video, but we can't seem to get a script of some sort for it.

I don't know, the level seemed to make moley "sack" himself.

I got a bit bored earlier and found out VLC Media Player has a ASCII output function. So I opened up the LBP2 trailer using it and then captured the preview screen using the screen capture software I used for LBPC: The Game trailer. This is what it looks like...

They want us to start making machinima for them and they will pay us for them!

Also, we are posting all of the LBP2 videos we can find on our channel, including Gevurah22's/Donkey Show's commentaries with loads of information!

Anyway, thanks everyone! We have had over 100 subscribers in the last 2 weeks and we have loads of great ideas planned.

exactly....so none of our feelings were spared and we werent asked how we felt about it...they sold us out and to "spare" our feelings they basically kicked us out of the official money making group now

but hey...its not like we DID anything right? we never had work to do....and all they did was do trailers....so whatever this whole group was a waste of time and im surprised this thread is still alive...seriously annoys me everytime my thread subscription shows this thread and reminds me i went into a group that did barely anything...and got kicked out by sellouts :/

Be happy for Leather and Moley and I'm sure we'll be asked to act and If they do I'll do it because I enjoy it and because I'm friends with them not for massive amounts of money.

dude it wasn't about the money...it's the fact that they decided to join machinima and kick us out without asking us how we felt about all this...so it's like your friend kicked you out of his clubhouse because the cooler club asked him to join but only if you werent around....and he did it even tho you guys are friends and he didnt bother asking you to see how you felt about it

thats why im ****** about this right now...i could care less about the money

but i asked a lot for work and never got any...only a response of "dude i dont need to tell you what to do you just make your own machinima, blah blah" but of course i needed to be told what to do and i needed RECORDERS to help with...so we were all unorganized...except for those 2...they made their own machinima and now look at them....selfish with machinima and they tossed us into the dirt....we tried to work and do machinima but there was no order....and now look were we are...fired from a group...so sorry kernel you're ok and all...but im going to be as sour as expired milk...this wasnt a good move for sackinima at all

and ill forever be in spite of them for this

how when they kicked us out of the group to join machinima? no offense (i really cant stress that enough since im not trying to make you mad) but didnt you read what i just said?

they kicked us out...they didnt ask us or tell us about the machinima offer and how we felt....they just opened the doors...pushed us out and closed them shut....i tried looking for work from them and received none and now they kick EVERYONE off of sackinima except for themselves and now they make machinima for cash?

Come on guys! This is nothing to do with money! We are hardly getting anything at all when it is split between us anyway. The reason we decided to go it alone was because no one really did anything. How many suggestions did you guys make and act upon? It just wasn't working, as it has been said before, we didn't manage to do anything as a group.

We are sorry it had to happen like this and you all start making false accusations, but if that is how you want to act, then fine. We said people can still help, but we need to run it now because a lot of people will be watching these videos.

EDIT: and just so you know, it can take over 6 months for us to get paid anyway. It isn't like we wouldn't have gone to machinima if they weren't paying us. I have always wanted to do something on that channel and this is the oppertunity for Sackinima to actually do something. Also, it is more of an incentive to get things done if more people are watching the videos.

Thanks rtm, I just wrote up a big post but that will be the end of all this. I just wish this was all kept in PM's like you said, instead of displaying it to the world... oh well.

I'm going to explain and apologize once more, for the last time...

Shadow, most of this is aimed at you because you seem to be the only one annoyed by this. The others, whilst they may not be happy with the decision, have dealt with it in a civilised, grown up manner. I should say this: I'm no good at running things, I don't want to run things, I never did. That is most likely the reason Sackinima v.1 fell through the roof and now Sackinima v.2. Sackinima has made two machinimas so far - and that's in an entire year of existing! Most of that time was spent trying to plan and organize and it just didn't work.
The two machinimas we have were made entirely by moley and I - no input from anyone else. I think that makes it pretty clear the whole group thing wasn't working. I've always been grateful the group gained so much interest and people wanted to always help - but when it came to creating the machinimas - it all went upside down. Moley and I have always known the group thing wasn't working, and would probably never work but we kept trying, hoping everything would come together and people would play there roles and enjoy themselves. We failed to make that happen and I'm truly sorry. I want to start over again, but it's clear to me/us I/we can't run a group and shouldn't dare try again - in fear of "wasting" more peoples time.

Then recently we were contact by machinima.com, who offered us a contract. Making videos is our dream and hobby, so of course we went for it! But then we new unless something big changed, we still wouldn't get any videos made. So after a few days of talking it through, we both decided now would be a good time to let the group go. It [I]was a tough decision. We didn't want to make it seem like we just kicked you all out, just like that. But then we knew the reaction would be like this - so there wasn't a nice way of doing it. Money maybe something that's making everything worse here but I just want to say if this whole money thing is true, it will only be spent on the project and not for our personal gain.

Once again I'm very sorry it went this way, but it's done. Any questions/further comments please PM me, but like rtm says, this shouldn't be happening here. (And thank you to those who did take it well and are pleased for moley and I, we are very grateful.)

ok here i will point out everything wrong in your post...or easy simple ways to fix things

1.civilized and grown up? yeah because YOU KICKING US OUT without even asking us how we felt about it was just as civilized as how i took it right?

2.if you weren't good at running things...you coulda found someone who was to take charge...don't start a project if you can't even take charge...thats the whole point of being in charge...to have your fellow workers collaborate with you and work together towards the same goal...being in charge means you have the responsibility to lead us and direct us on how to achieve that goal...which you failed miserably and are trying to make it seem like it's somehow all of our faults or something

3.of course the last 2 were made by you and moley with no input - YOU DIDNT ASK US FOR HELP AT ALL....seriously you're "the leader" you are supposed to PM us with job listings and schedule dates for recording and such...which you did not do...you had a whole group of people willing to work for you...and you did nothing to inform us of any work going on

4.the whole "when it came down to it everything went upside down" was your own fault...because i was first in line to help out in any way i could and you guys never offered a time for me to get on LBP to join you guys for recording...or anything of the sort...

5.machinima calls and what do you do? you ask moley and you two discuss amongst yourselves....didnt bother to ask any of your other "team" members how we felt about the whole thing at all...you just talked amongst yourselves and decided you would "speak for everyone"

and finally....it wasn't the money that bugged me or any of the previous members...it's the fact that you claim we did nothing (when you gave us no direction) and booted us off the team without even discussing the move to machinima.com with us at all

you can make me sound like some crying child all you want...but rock agrees with some of the stuff im saying...and kernel made a good point that i've made as wel so im sure he agreed with a tiny bit of this (although why he's still happy for you im not sure)

imo you guys deserve no praise for ditching us like you did....idk how everyone else is but im bitter as hell and will continue to be bitter so long as you are with machinima...because you had a great team and you threw us away for money fame....thats why this whole arguement was going on in the thread

Look man... Leather-Monkey made it very clear in his previous post what his thoughts were on running the group, yet you continue to ramble on about how everything was his fault. To what end? He has stated very openly that the group just wasn't working. This can be for a multitude of reasons, all of which are of no consequence, because Machinima contacted them. Thusly, it was their call. You guys never were very involved in the process of making the videos, so why feel entitled to it. It's not as if they made their decision willy-nilly - they talked through it; and, as the leaders, that IS their call.

If you are sad about not being more involved, you can stamp and whine, but it's not going to change the way things happened.

If you truly thought that:

In all fairness as well, machinima contacted the guys who made those two machinima, so it makes sense for those two to be the ones that split off from the group. It amy not be your fault that you didn't do anything towards those machinimas, but the fact remains that it was not your handiwork that was in demand. Regardless of how the group was run and who was a member of the team, it was their work that was the basis for contact.

So, we've been in contact with Mugeeman2, a community member who has been planning his own LBP2 machinima, currently titled "Sticks & Stones". He's asked us if we could provide him with any people willing to act and/or voice act. Here's some more info on the project (as written by Mugeeman2)...

Alright, the beginning story plot is based around Edward B. Johnson, who appears to be an average man just driving down a dirt trail when he has a horrible accident, he crashed throught the windsheild and hits his head rather hard on the tree trunk ahead, whilst unconcious he has a vision of buildings falling around him, ash falling like rain, and explosions appearing as often as he breathes. Edward awakes in the hospital with only the memory of his name and that vision (part of the mystery is if that vision was in the past of future) Edward leave the hospital without a scratch, the moment he leaves a portal opens infront of him, curious and rather not giving a **** he jumps in.

that is the intro towards the first episode, basically, Edward later teams up with a small group of mercenaries that travel through different portals in time and space. one of the mercenaries recalls seeing Edward somewhere before but has trouble remembering. Essentially the series is based around the mercinaries, the portals (scoreboards), and Edward trying to discover his past.

Also (this is very exciting) we've been in talks with Mm, expect something awesome from us, involving all of you guys at LBP2's release. I shall say no more.

So I was watching one of my favourite gaming shows, and I was surprised to hear them mention Sackinima! The gaming show is run by Machinima, the same guys who hired Sackinima, but Inside Gaming (The show) almost never mentions its directors, so this is quite awesome!

To bad the video they talked about never showed up in my subscription box.
