Collaboration project: Iso city

Archive: 6 posts

Everyone love the chessboard, so I thought 'Why not 3D?'

This grid can be added to if we need more. Just reserve places by filling in the square you want to do so you don't have someone filling in your space.

EDIT:

Dex made an easier grid to work on. (Click the yellow bar to see the full image)

Please enjoy!

I'll add to this later because i love iso cities, but i just thought i'd ask why you put it on those cubes xD

Iso cities are usually just laid flat with a few roads as the template

I would collaborate with the buildings I've made on isometric, but you first need to change the layout, that one doesn't make sense at all.2009-06-23 14:47:00

Is this any better?

Sorry to the OP, I made this one at a slightly higher perspective than yours without realising - this is just how i'm used to having iso's

I thought i'd try something a bit different with my building to kick start this xD

Oh and feel free to change the ground colour, green is just the default for me

I was going for something like this (http://www.wayofthepixel.net/pixelation/index.php?topic=6247.0)

I guess Dex's one is better. We can use that instead.

wow that's pretty amazing

I'd love to see something like that in a separate thread where everyone picks a numbered tile and designs it
I think for an iso city a flat layout is more suitable though

Added a nice castle
Just thought i'd say that i have an annoying habit of making suttle details that you can't see once you've zoomed out - i suppose i need to learn to use more contrast
