Tips for acing! I will update this!

Need help acing levels? Have some advice? Share them here and I'll update the OP for the levels. EDIT: Go as slow as possible, ignore trying to get a high score on the race. Do things slowly but carefully. Go through the level the first time to know what you're doing. Knowing is half the battle. ---==THE MORE YOU KNOW=:star: (lol) | 2009-06-21 06:59:00 Author: TheMarvelousHat Posts: 542 |
Take levels slowly, theres no need to rush, even if there is a race. Just take your time, This works well in certain level sections too. E.G Boomtown, move the bombs slowly. The Bunker, While on the treadmill, jump then run back a bit for more time to jump. | 2009-06-21 09:04:00 Author: SovietX Posts: 8 |
Don't die. | 2009-06-21 09:49:00 Author: Rabid-Coot Posts: 6728 |
Don't rush. I know you want to ace the level in the fastest time posssible so you can get some sense of achievement, but most of the time this'll end up with your sack dying. Even if it takes you over 15 minutes, just take it slow when trying to ace a level. In fact sometimes it'll be easier if you actually try to go as slow as you can. | 2009-06-21 11:22:00 Author: lk9988 Posts: 1077 |
Don't die. :arg: as others have said, don't rush. and also don't have stress, relax while playing the level, it helped me on the bunker. | 2009-06-21 11:37:00 Author: oldage Posts: 2824 |
Learn the map. This is most important on the Bunker, where if you learn the layout and how to time everything, you will most likely succeed. Practice makes perfect as well. | 2009-06-21 16:58:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
Focus. Acing levels like the Bunker of Fire Pits takes precise button-pushing and close attention to patterns and timing. You won't believe how many times I failed the Fire Pits cuz I didn't have focus... Also, patience. Don't get frustrated if you don't ace it the first time around. Learning the level takes time, and can probably take days to master. So just keep cool, and you'll ace it soon enough. | 2009-06-21 20:42:00 Author: Outlaw-Jack Posts: 5757 |
Thanks for the tips, I'm always in a rush. I recently started slowing down and trying to get through levels perfectly, but the more I concentrate I seem to slip up some how. | 2009-06-24 18:45:00 Author: Gr33n Eraser Posts: 8 |
Stay calm. When I aced the bunker, I was almost shaking. After hours of trying, I'd got it. So practice I guess. And it becomes a hell of a lot easier after you've aced it once. I can ace any story level whenever I want now. Unless I'm going for the highscore. Then I die a lot. | 2009-06-24 19:31:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
Plan what you are going to do a few seconds in advance. This works especially well in the first parts of the Bunker. | 2009-06-24 19:58:00 Author: Code1337 Posts: 3476 |

Don't rush, as others said. Having had to start over since I got my ps3, I can say with certainty that it's possible to get 70+ percent on your first playthrough of most of the levels, then just go back and go through each level carefully going over what you missed, using stickers you didn't have before, etc. | 2009-06-24 22:07:00 Author: Theap Pleman Posts: 670 |
I don't get what you mean. I think he means you should think out what you are going to do on the next obstacle. | 2009-06-25 06:52:00 Author: TheMarvelousHat Posts: 542 |
Take your time, whatever you do dont think you can make it to that platform cuz you probably cant, just sit there and wait for it to come back so you can get on it properly dont pitch your controller in frustration, it is very hard to ace levels with a broken controller look for detours, if something seems difficult try finding a way around it, most of the time you wont be able to but in some cases you can like in the small spinning wheels in the bunker where you have to hop over the electrified blockes and make it out the other side, its much less dangerous to just ride the opening up to the top and go over it consider all the variables, sure you can make it over the pit of spikes but can you dodge the falling rocks at the same time? and most importantly (in proper hitchhikers fashion) DONT PANIC | 2009-06-25 07:45:00 Author: redmagus Posts: 667 |
First of all, don't rush! I know it has been said countless times, but it won't ever be enough. If you die, don't start the level as soon as you respawn, but complete the level with the same patience you use to try to ace it. Another walkthrough will allow you to learn something more, since if you had died, it means that you don't know the level enough. If you can't ace the level at the third walkthrough, take a break and play another level that you already aced, then get back to the level you have to ace. Don't bother about score bubbles, you don't have to get an high score. | 2009-07-01 07:44:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
