Please help me get my level higher

Archive: 12 posts

Hello. I made a level about three weeks ago called Grassland Platformer, and so far it has only gotten about two plays. I made a thread for the level in Level Showcase when i published it, but nobody replied, and bumping is against the rules. So i'm posting a thread here, that links to the thread that didn't get any replies. Hopefully more people will read it in this section of the forum.

I want some feedback on the level, and some useful tips on how to improve certain obstacles i've built, such as the moving platform near the beginning or the puzzles near the end. (The scoreboard at the ending is not decorated because i'm going to add more obstacles to the level). Also, if you like it, please rate it high so that more people get to see the level.

Grassland Platformer is described in this thread: Click here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=12363)

To the moderators: Please do not lock/delete this thread, but instead move it to Level Showcase.

Why don`t you go back to the showcase section of the forum and complete some F4F for people. I`m sure that some of them will be generous enough to play your level. I`m sure what you`re asking here won`t go down too well.2009-06-20 22:17:00

Some suggestions:

1. I agree with Killbot - initiate some F4F - this will get you SOME plays, but more importantly it will give you insight as to how much fun and polished your level is. To get better quality feedback, search out the most talented authors you can find that have F4F threads. This way you can be sure to get some really good advice on how to improve your level.
2. Keep finding ways to impove your level and republish. Each time your level is republished after changing some things it will temporarily appear in cool pages, which will get it some more plays.

As the others have said. Give some people some feedback, and they usually return it. If you give feedback on any of the levels in my sig I'd be more than happy to return it!2009-06-21 01:31:00

There's quite a few tutorials on this site on how to get more feedback. Pictures, videos and good descriptions are vital in getting people to play your levels. If people are leaving good feedback as well then it's likely you'll get more plays. Just keep updating and you can get plays! 2009-06-21 10:27:00

I just played your level called "Spoooky pinball". Very, very nice. A very good idea, creating a pinball game with littlebigplanet. I liked the music selection at the beginning, the overall pinball game, and the ending.

Now the things i liked:
* The atmosphere was great, however sometimes it looked a bit bland
* A very well made pinball machine clone
* The number that shows how many balls you have left is nice

And the things i did not like:
* The camera was sometimes quite jumpy. Mostly when i shot the ball into the green hole.

I've given it five stars, and tagged it with 'brilliant', because it was very clever to make that.

I'm going to post feedback on the other levels soon, but right now, i've got to eat dinner.
Post this feedback in Smasher's Spotlight thread to take part in Feedback-for-feedback.

I'm going to lock this. As others have said, take advantage of the F4F feature rather than starting an identical thread in the wrong section of the forum.2009-06-22 20:29:00
