PS3 connection is super fast! o______o)
Archive: 4 posts
i've had a few different computers/laptops over the years, but my ps3 has the fastest connection i've ever seen :o It connects (while browsing web) to a page in a few seconds or less. Why is this? my ps3 model is the first ever model that came out. Im just intrigued because my laptop is meant to have a very fast "airport" connection, but my ps3 (that is years older than my laptop) is faster o_0 Edit: P.S i've only been connected to the web through my PS3 for around 6 months | 2009-06-18 20:46:00 Author: SockGUY Posts: 11 |

Yeah, its pretty fast indeed, a little technical difficulties here and there, but its pretty good overall. (lol, I should know ) | 2009-06-18 22:40:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Well if you are connecting via a network then the connection to the network will most likely have no effect on you browsing speed. The bottleneck in traffic would be on the network-internet connection. What I guess you have is a comparatively low-specced laptop, running a resource hungry modern OS, a browser and all sorts of background tasks VS a comparitively high specced PS3 with a very lightweight OS running a browser. It's probably packet processing and rendering causing the difference you see. That's my guess. Not even sure if that will make sense... | 2009-06-18 23:28:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
