Firefox 3.5 Beta Version

For any of you interested in the new Firefox 3.5 beta, click here (http://tinyurl.com/jrnk5). Some of the key new features: Much faster. Use the new Private Browsing Mode and the updated Clear Recent History function (in the Tools menu) to keep your browsing habits a secret. Tear tabs off the tab bar to create new windows, and drag and drop them from one Firefox window to another. Watch a video in your browser without needing any plugins or external media players. Control the Smart Location Bar results with special characters. Don't worry. It won't delete any of your data. The only issue I have with it so far is that it's not compatible with my current theme. | 2009-06-18 14:10:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |

I've kind of lost my trust in Firefox ever since i found out it keeps a list of all of your saved passwords If you go into Tools > Options > Security; it has a list of every username and password you've used and for what website | 2009-06-18 14:48:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |

I no longer have to manually log into websites. It's very useful. | 2009-06-18 14:56:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
That's the point. I no longer have to manually log into websites. It's very useful. Yeah, basically every web browser does it. So turn off saving passwords if you don't like it Dex. | 2009-06-18 15:31:00 Author: ryryryan Posts: 3767 |
Yeah but as far as i know no other browser makes it so easily accessible Anybody using my computer could find out all of my passwords in less than a minute if they wanted too :/ And on top of that firefox still makes me login manually | 2009-06-18 15:41:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |

I wonder if it's on aur... Probably... I'll see when I get home. If so, I'll start downloading IMMEDIATELY! If not' I'll download the source code and start compiling... | 2009-06-18 17:41:00 Author: tjb0607 Posts: 1054 |
Imma stick with chrome, but thankfully I think my school is installing this on its computers (students can't install anything ) | 2009-06-18 19:24:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
The new features sound like Chrome... lol. I'll stick that for now Hah just what I thought, I'm really lovin Chrome atm though so I'll stick with it. It just looks great, doesn't have any unnecessary toolbars, and leaves pretty much the whole screen open for browsing. Also the drag and drop bookmarks and most visited home screen make it too slick. | 2009-06-18 19:36:00 Author: Pitcard Posts: 779 |

Well I guess now I know how to get my friends passwords to mess with their Facebook accounts... | 2009-06-18 19:50:00 Author: Walter-Kovacs Posts: 542 |
The new features sound like Chrome... lol. I'll stick that for now Yep - lots of the new features are just Firefox's way of keeping up with the new features Chrome introduced. Still, I would have stuck with Firefox regardless - until another browser offers secure password storing and generation (LastPass), strong ad-blocking tools (AdBlock Plus), bookmarks synchronization (XMarks), download acceleration (DownThemAll), and web development tools (such as Firebug), Firefox will continue to be my browser of choice. | 2009-06-21 07:51:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |

I'm happy with Safari 4 here on my lovely iMac, the fastest browser in the world of course! | 2009-06-23 13:31:00 Author: mcgrory1991 Posts: 49 |
I've kind of lost my trust in Firefox ever since i found out it keeps a list of all of your saved passwords If you go into Tools > Options > Security; it has a list of every username and password you've used and for what website Dex, this is an option you have selected, it's not default. It's a little like blaiming the pen for writing down your passwords on a piece of paper, IMO. I get your point about it being easilly accessible, but if you are at all concerned about security, you shouldn't switch it on in the first place. | 2009-06-23 13:36:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
I want it to remember my password, i just don't like how easy they make it for people for anyone to access all of your passwords I'm not too bothered about it anymore anyway And Firefox STILL makes me type in my password even though i select to remember it, and then once i've typed it in sometimes it decides to remember my password at the last second and i end up with my password typed twice D: Firefox is evil! | 2009-06-23 15:17:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |
