Mr. Wardude Signature... take a look :D

OK... so I made this drawing on a school book

It looks really cool, but perhaps if the character's colour contrasted to the background. Other than that, awesome drawing (also top marks on lesson productivity ) and awesome sig.2009-06-18 19:11:00

Yeh... i'll try dropshadow... but that way the character coul look like it's flat.. :O

that's the problem... the blood on the floor can't have a shadow....

If you think about it... the blood is actually not really good drawn, because it should be way flatter... anywayssss!!!!

Not talking about the blood on the floor, the blood on the axe is dripping off, but in the shadow it just shows the axe, no blood.		2009-06-18 20:15:00

sorry... i just realized that...

The blood on the axe should be visible, it's just hard to see because of the back ground and the shadow is slightly blurred 		2009-06-18 20:16:00

Wow these are awesome! I remember your first war dude in the war themed SOTW contest. These are just way too cool. I like the last one the best but the text needs to be polished a bit. The letter's boxes don't all line up, and it had more contrast when it was vertical. yeh... lol, i knew that, but i didn't really feel like re-doing those letters. I thought nobody would notice xD

And for the avatar... i though maybe just a red square with an outline, dropshadow and the text blocks in it.

Just so it fits with every signature

Yeh... i was thinking of doing something similar... The blood is an important factor with these sigs, and just a Y could be pretty awesome yeah.

I've been watching this thread for a while...

Nice work!

I admire original artwork and you have a great cartoony style.

My favourite so far is the scythe one you did last.

I have a suggestion...

The shadowing you've used goes around everything which, although it makes the image stand out from the transparency, doesn't really highlight the subject matter.

How about cutting round the character with the weapon and making into a seperate layer.

The background could have a slight shadow (maybe 2-3 pixels), and the character could have either more shadowing, or even none at all, which will mak it really stand out. In addition, you could increase the saturation of the character slightly more...

Nice work!!!

Oh.. just had another thought...

Rather than trying to work out the shadow on the blood drips, why not have the blood drips falling onto an invisible platform at the bottom and trickling to the right??

that's a good idea about the shadow.... I think i'll try that. Should be quite simple because it's already a seperate layer thanks for the tip.

And i think i understand what you mean with the invisible platform, that's pretty epic :O

I think I'll make a hammer version tomorrow and also try those effects you just mentioned. I first gotta have some sleep ... ~_____~

btw... i kinda tried to increase the contrast between the character and the background by making a layer in front of the background layer with a circular gradient starting at the position of the character. white in the center to green to the outside. Then i put the layer on saturation. That way the color of the gradient didn't matter... i just wanted the background to be saturated in the middle and decreasing it's saturation going further outside.

Like the drawing. Background needs.... anything but I guess you knew that anyways. I liked the earthy, moody backgrounds of your previous works so maybe a gritty, dirty background to suit?
