Tweakable Glowing Eyes.
Archive: 19 posts
Just something I thought I'd throw out there. I'd love to see some new DLC that contains glowing eyes like the ones we have, but where we could change the colour or even intensity of them. Mm could even go a step further, and add the light beam so that they look like headlights (the way the spotlight does). I just think with all the costume DLC (and lack of new materials, new music, or new sound effects), Mm could maybe start offering more "original" ideas instead of characters from other games. While they are fun, I'd really like to see more options for things we are familiar with... like [edit] costume accessories or decorations such as guns... yeah... how about giving us a BFG Mm? Huh... huh... that'd be cool huh? | 2009-06-16 17:11:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
That would be really cool. I think it's been mentioned here numerous times about the tweakable eyes. And I fully agree that they need to give us more original content rather than just licensed stuff. | 2009-06-16 19:00:00 Author: cstrfrk Posts: 74 |
lol yeah, leets bring guns and rocket launchers and pistols to the game with thousands of kids that are 15 years old and younger! >_> ...Seriously? | 2009-06-16 19:08:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
lol yeah, leets bring guns and rocket launchers and pistols to the game with thousands of kids that are 15 years old and younger! >_> ...Seriously? Uhh... yeah actually. Let's see, we've got the paintinator already... that fully represents a gun. We've got hammers, swords, bows, fish, and oh... frying pans to hit other players with. I guess you're not familiar with the current DLC featuring big huge honking weapons to strap on your back then? It's not about bringing violence to the game Silverleon.... it's about customizing your sackpersons look. I played with plenty of toy guns when I was a wee lad (not to mention video games with all sorts of weapons... and that was at least 25 years ago), as did just about every other average Canadian kid growing up. I'd say we're all pretty normal and well adjusted functioning members of society. Seriously.... | 2009-06-16 20:06:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
Tweakable eyes would be great! That's such a good idea, thanks for bringing it up! | 2009-06-16 21:02:00 Author: GrahamLif3 Posts: 386 |
You can't possibly think they'd give you a gun to shoot stuff with... This is a 7+ game, guns just won't fit into it... I do think some kind of gun would be kewl, but I think they'd implement it more like a laser, paint-gatling-gun, plasma beam, etc. They'll keep it kids-friendly for sure. | 2009-06-19 19:34:00 Author: Eldrazor Posts: 78 |
No ... I don't actually. I'm talking about costume or decoration DLC... like the swords that come with costumes... not functioning guns. I guess I didn't make that quite clear enough from the start or in my second post where I mentioned "customizing your sack persons look". I'll go edit the first post now so there's absolutely no more room for confusion. | 2009-06-20 05:09:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
Uh, guns and rockets are no more out of place than the buzzsaw blades, knives, spikes, and rockets that are already in the game... | 2009-06-20 21:06:00 Author: Reef1978 Posts: 527 |
Uh, guns and rockets are no more out of place than the buzzsaw blades, knives, spikes, and rockets that are already in the game... I thought of bringing this up too, but many folks seem hell-bent on guns somehow being more evil than any other weapon by today's standards for some reason. Even though I was speaking of costume DLC... I completely agree with your point, but alas it will be missed by many people I'm sure. [edit] For clarification, I am not necessarily speaking of anyone participating in this thread... just a general observation about society. | 2009-06-21 02:09:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
If we were able to tweak glowing eyes, costume creation would be so much better. I was disappointed when I first tried to sticker my glowing eyes only to find that it had no effect, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Hopefully your idea gets put into action. | 2009-06-21 06:43:00 Author: Code1337 Posts: 3476 |
tweaking glowing eyes would be pretty neat one of the things they added that i do like however is some of the new costume pieces change to match your current skin/material namely, sackula hair, monkey king ears, monkey king tail, its a very nice effect that i hope we'll be seeing more of along with your glowing eyes idea maybe they could also add a tweaker for the other glowing stuff, ie neon skirt/helmet, collosus eyes,, ive heard that the end of the devil tail glows a bit as for guns on costumes, i see nothing wrong with this, like was already stated we have swords and other weapons in addition to that we have characters from M rated games and currently one of the top levels on cool pages is something like "Best realistic Guns 2" or something like that, clearly if MM cared about the gun thing they would have done something about this level as it has currently over 1000 plays and hundreds of hearts Like Rustbukkit i am not condoning or suggesting the implimentation of gun or rpg power ups, merely costume pieces to add flair to your look | 2009-06-21 06:54:00 Author: redmagus Posts: 667 |
Tweaking character objects might not work. . . how about blue, red, green, black, and purple neon eyes? Probably not as good, but I just don't see tweakable eyes working properly. | 2009-06-21 07:55:00 Author: TheMarvelousHat Posts: 542 |
Tweakable eyes is a great suggestion. In fact, I think you should be able to fully tweak the colour of all costume parts in the game.:star: | 2009-06-21 11:32:00 Author: lk9988 Posts: 1077 |
It would be a fine idea | 2009-06-30 12:56:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
Where are these glowing eyes? Hopefully not some costly DLC... | 2009-06-30 22:49:00 Author: adlingtont Posts: 321 |
Where are these glowing eyes? Hopefully not some costly DLC... Nope... you get them during story mode. I think you get them when you Ace the Frozen Tundra level... but don't quote me on that. | 2009-07-01 06:49:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
Would probably break the "dark" puzzles and areas, along with some other things. In case you didn't know, people do make the areas in the levels completly dark for a reason m8, if they wanted to light up they'd add the lights themselves.. So i say no to this idea. | 2009-07-01 07:26:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

Sure I'm aware that people do make areas in levels completely dark for a reason... I've done it myself. I don't think though, that this would detract or in any way interfere with those levels. I'm mainly speaking about changing the colour (at the least) or intensity of the eyes for the purpose of customizing your sack person. It is after all, a big part of the attraction to this game for many players. I can see your point if the idea of emmiting a "beam" of light similar to headlights came into play though.... but even then I think it would have a minimal impact as it would only affect the plane the player is on. I suppose though, that the creator might have to take this possiblity into account when creating and attempting to "hide" certain parts of their level or maintaining a certain mood... so I could do without that option. Still... giving us the ability to change the colour or intensity of the glowing eyes certainly couldn't hurt could it? | 2009-07-01 09:08:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
Well putting it that way, it does seem like a good idea, like not so bright or different colors, or at least being affected by stuckers. | 2009-07-01 09:39:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
