ARZumANZ Reviews: Human Body: The Inside Job by Jrange378

Human Body: The Inside Job is a level where you must, of course, explore the human body. It was made by Jrange378, some forum member I had no clue existed since he requested this review. I've played plenty of human body levels in my day, though, so you think you can hold up, JRANGE!?!?!?!?!? http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/littlebiggallery/images/570/medium/7_A_Photo.jpg DOKTER ZOMG! Um, well yeah, you did do a pretty good job. You get asked by a giant doctor to find out why this dude is sick, so he sends you to do some adventuring inside this guy. Along the way you'll get to rescue a marriage and stop a horrible infestation of Yoshis inside this man's body. Oh yeah, and the end is absolutely terrific, but I won't spoil that for you. The level certainly isn't visually stunning. I mean, Jrange obviously tried to put some detail in, and he did succeed, but many parts felt empty and boring. Some of the decorations look a little sloppy, but most of the really important stuff looked good. For example: the level also has a killer cut scene where medicine man fires his medicine lasers into a giant beast, after which the giant beast spews guts, and it's really cool looking. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/littlebiggallery/images/570/medium/6_A_Photo_1.jpg 20 Points to you if you can find the secret message. I don't think you can really go wrong with a human body level. Just make the body big enough and add that exploration element to it and you've got a good level. Everyone wants to see their organs up close and personal. Every cartoon has gone inside someone's body, and those episodes are usually the most memorable. Everyone remembers the Invader Zim episode when they went inside Dib, right? I do.This level isn't bad, but that may be due mainly to the fact that being inside someone's body is AWESOME! There's puzzle solving, but most of the puzzles are easily solved by a two year old. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/littlebiggallery/images/570/medium/7_A_Photo_2.jpg This picture of the heart came out really weird... Don't get me wrong, the level isn't boring, as a matter of fact the atmosphere is what made it. That and the bizarreness of it all. I mean, you should probably play it for the ending, but does it really stand out among the crowd of other human body levels? While the ending and the weird seal thing made it memorable, it is still an average level. If only I could make an average level... 3 Stars | 2009-06-14 04:00:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
Hey, and i think i know the boring part your talking about. The big empty space before the worm thing? That is due to my therm crapping out.Its literally so full it overheated as soon as i get into it lol. Can you be more specific in telling me what you thought was sloppy? It would help a lot. | 2009-06-14 15:09:00 Author: Jrange378 Posts: 573 |
