She made me do it!

Archive: 34 posts

A big hello to everyone! If you've not already guessed, I'm MrsSpookyBuz's husband! She's been asking me to join here for a while, so here I am.

From what I've already seen and what she's told me, this is the place to be.

I've had a few levels published in the past, but can't get on the PS3 anymore so I'm just happy to help MrsSB where I can (usually just the music side of it, and for some unbeknown reason, pistons!).

Looking forward to having fun on here.

Take it easy,
Spooky

Hi and welcome. I'm not surprised you can't get on it with all the awesome levels you're wife keeps making.

It's a good thing really though because if you were putting out good levels at the same rate the rest of us wouldn't get a look in.

Have fun anyway and maybe you can pass on your expertise with pistons as they cause me all sorts of grief.

Welcome SpookyBuz

I know the feeling. My hubby brought me here kicking and screaming. Once here I found it to be a wonderful place. I'm sure you will too.

Also since we both joined we found we could share the ps3, while one of us is on ps3 the other is at LBPC. Hope that works for you also.

Hi there mistervista! From what I've seen of your levels, you don't seem to need any help with pistons! Nice work, mate!

Hi Lady_Luck - yes, there will definitely need to be an 'arrangement' in our household! Still, I can't complain, I enjoy my role as Chief Tester and 'person who gets it in the neck if something doesn't work!' Your Aquarium level is gorgeous, btw!

Hi RockSauron! Yes, us couples are taking over LBPC. We should all get a private cabin!

Hey spookybuz. Nice to meet ya. Luckily my better half isn't into video games at all, because if she were, I'd have to buy a second ps3. Anywho welcome to the forums!!!2009-06-13 18:01:00

I'm sure you will find that arrangement. Being Chief Tester and pain in the neck is good too. Helps push us to be our best as evidenced by the levels produced.

Thank you for the compliment on my level. I appreciate it.

Welcome SpookyBuz. My PS3 fate was sealed also, when my wife, Lady_luck__777 began creating levels...and experimenting...and tweaking...and...

So LBPC has soothed the pain...I am a happy man once again...and Harmony has been restored to my Little Planet existence...uh, gotta run...she just laid down the controller.

See you around the forums.

Hi smasher! Your Mountain Marathon level is top banana! MrsSB actually allowed me to play it twice!

Hey Rick - I guess us guys need to add 'allow wife to play LBP' along with the usual flowers and choccies! It's great though - something else to do together! Played your Takken Part One level. Great stuff!

Hello there morgana! You, my little Chroma, are one of the reasons why I finally joined here! I reckon a) you're the epitome of fairness b) I've only played the first two parts of your Chroma, but they're fabulous and c) I don't want to speak on MrsSB's behalf, but she's a not-so-secret fan of yours, and I agree completely with her!

Welcome Mr Buzz!

I think you will really like it in here! I am attempting to get my girlfriend online as well. ..well if I can pry the controller out of her hands since that is where she is right now.

I tend to play in create most of the time and hand it over to here to play to give my eyes a break!!

Hi jww! Good to meet you.

I've been married for very nearly 10 years, and in that time, me and MrsSB have played loads of console and PC games together and/or seperately. She is a master at Tetris-type games, and she always beats me at Lemmings (which is a constant source of amusement to her!). I guess lots of people think playing games is a bit sad, especially for late-30s couples, but it beats going out paying ?3 ($4?) for ONE beer, or watching purile TV!

See you around bud

I suppose I should welcome you, even though you're actually sat next to me!

More importantly, don't forget your manners, don't forget to eat your greens, and never leave any pistons visible!

Hysterical!! ..and so wonderful that you do play together. April (my girlfriend) and I play tons of games together and truthfully this is my first console game in many years. She has had tons of console games before we met, where I have mostly played first person shooters and racing sims on the pc. We find it great that to keep entertained we can stay home where it is much cheaper!

Oh and to MrsSpookyBuz, greetings to you as well. We never have officially met as I am relatively new here, but have been quite a huge fan of your levels for quite some time.

Have a wonderful weekend!

How's it going? Welcome and enjoy! I only wish I could get my girlfriend to play. Altough when I was looking at the new Spotlight levels, she was looking over my shoulder and asked me to let her know when I play The Ice Queen Trilogy. So there's hope yet... Anyway, enjoy your stay.

P.S. Hey Rock, no 'special' peanut?

jww - MrsSB says 'hi'. She's currently hogging LBP at the moment (nothing new there!).

Hi 49DRA! I completely agree. Her levels would not functions without my pistons!

Hello there zwollie! I want to thank you for being one of the first people to make MrsSB welcome here. Cheers! Also, we always have a stock of Guylian chocolates for late night gaming sessions! Just thought you should know! lol

Guylian...the "sea chocolates"?

Btw, my house is made of chocolate as well....and it's a hot day...sticky

That's Belgium in a nutshell, also our clothes are made of waffles and brussels sprouts.

*blush* awww thanks

I'm a not so secret fan of your wife's levels too so I'm glad it's mutual. Thanks especially for the kind words about fairness - I really do try my best and have just fallen in love with this community so I try to do right by it.

Hello Mr SB and welcome to this fantastic forum.

I am the shorter and older half of Rhyfelwr and we are both also new here.

I too love your wife's levels, in fact we played Hyper Sphere earlier and both thought it was superb. To think I was so close to some of your pistons!!!!!!

Have fun.

Hi there Chicago - nice to meet you!

Likewise to you, burnvictim. See you around the forum!

Hi IceMaiden - you were close to my pistons AND your hubby knew about it?!! Now that's an understanding relationship! Seriously though, very nice work on your Snow Queen levels, regardless of who did the pistons!

Hi groble - nope, there are no SpookyBuz Jnrs, unless you know something I don't!

Hey AJnKnox - Well, I'm not about to say that it's not cool to be married! I'm very lucky though - I'm married to a woman who likes horror films, video games and brandy! Woo hoo

Ahh, we finally get to meet MR SB!

Great to have you here. Trying to get "Mrs wex-to-be" into this but I think shes just happy to be my tester

Always good to have some more oldies on the site. We can talk about joint pains and where we left our teeth now without fear of persecution

Hi there wex, good to speak to you at last! Ah yes, the aches and pains, the carpel-tunnelled wrists, the emotion caused by not being able to stay awake as long as we did when we were teens! *sigh* Life goes on, but far too quickly

Some good work you've produced, sir. Wouldn't be surprised if you got a call from Guildford soon!

See ya around!

LOL RangerZero! I'm not sure whether there's some confusion here! MrsSpookyBuz is my wife, and definitely a 'she'. I'm the 'he' in the couple!
